Phoenix Racing announced that they have been rebranded as HScott Motorsports for the 2014 Sprint Cup season. Harry Scott bought the team five months ago from James Finch. The team will field a No. 51 Chevrolet for driver Justin Allgaier and a No. 52 Chevrolet for driver Bobby Labonte in the Daytona 500.

Driver Kyle Larson will make his Sprint Cup debut for Phoenix Racing this weekend at Charlotte Motor Speedway Oct. 12. He will also drive the No. 51 Chevrolet at Martinsville Speedway Oct. 27. Larson will move to a full-time Cup ride next year with Chip Ganassi Racing and will replace driver Juan Pablo Montoya in the No. 42 Chevrolet. He currently ranks ninth in the Nationwide Series with 15 top-10 finishes.

Phoenix Racing driver A.J. Allmendinger will compete for Penske Championship Racing in at least two IndyCar Series races this year, including the Indianapolis 500. He will drive the No. 2 car April 7 at Barber Motorsports Park in Alabama and May 26 at the Indy 500.

Phoenix Racing driver A.J. Allmendinger is set to make his Sprint Cup debut at Phoenix International Raceway Sunday, March 3, in the No. 51 Guy Roofing Chevrolet. It will be his fifth race for the team.

Phoenix Racing has extended an offer to driver A.J. Allmendinger for the chance to drive at Phoenix International Raceway, Bristol Motor Speedway, Auto Club Speedway and Martinsville Speedway in the 2013 Sprint Cup Series. Driver Regan Smith will start off the season in the No. 51 Guy Roofing Chevrolet at Daytona International Speedway. Allmendinger ran four races with the team last season.

Phoenix Racing announced Friday, Jan. 11, that driver Austin Dillon will drive a Sprint Cup car at Las Vegas Motor Speedway this year. Dillon will be driving the No. 51 car sponsored by TAG Heuer Eyewear March 10. Dillon is also running a full Nationwide Series schedule and around six Cup races for Richard Childress Racing.

Phoenix Racing plans to have driver Regan Smith driver in the Daytona 500 this year and they will have Smith and driver A.J. Allmendinger share duties in the Sprint Cup Series. Driver Kurt Busch is hoping to drive for the team in the Nationwide Series. Smith will drive at Daytona and possibly seven to 10 Cup races throughout the season. Allmendinger's first race is expected to be at Phoenix.

Phoenix Racing announced Tuesday, Oct. 23, that driver A.J. Allmendinger will drive again in the Sprint Cup race at Martinsville Speedway in the No. 51 car this weekend. Allmendinger has finished 24th and 35th, respectively, in the last two Cup events at Charlotte and Kansas. The decision to keep Allmendinger in the car remains a race-by-race decision, however. Driver Regan Smith, who is filling in for Hendrick Motorsports driver Dale Earnhardt Jr. (concussion), could return in two weeks at Texas.
