Team Penske driver Joey Logano won the Sprint Cup race at Texas Motor Speedway Monday, April 7, after taking the lead with a little more than 100 laps left. He became the seventh different driver to win a Cup race this season, and Logano will likely have a spot in the postseason after the win.

Team Penske driver Brad Keselowski has won the pole position for the Sprint Cup race at Phoenix International Raceway this weekend. Team Penske driver Joey Logano will start second, Chip Ganassi Racing driver Jamie McMurray will start third, Hendrick Motorsports driver Dale Earnhardt Jr. is in the fourth spot and Roush Fenway Racing driver Greg Biffle will start fifth.

Team Penske | Juan Pablo Montoya wants to race in Brickyard

Team Penske driver Juan Pablo Montoya would like to race in the Brickyard 400 this year at Indianapolis Motor Speedway if his team puts a ride together for him. He won the Indy 500 in 2000 and challenged for victories in the race in 2009 and 2010.

Team Penske driver Ryan Blaney will be scheduled to make two Sprint Cup Series starts in 2014. The Penske team also added 15 Nationwide Series races to his schedule. Blaney will be entered in the Cup races at Kansas in May and Talladega in October in the No. 12 SKF Ford Fusion.

Penske Championship Racing has extended driver Brad Keselowski and Miller Lite to a contract extension that will run through the 2017 season. Miller Lite is extending their partnership with the team that spans more than three decades; they've been the primary sponsor of the No. 2 car since 1991.

Penske Championship Racing driver Brad Keselowski won the Nationwide Series race at Kentucky Speedway Friday, June 28. The race was called off due to rain after 170 laps of the scheduled 200-lap event. It was Keselowski's second Nationwide win of the season and second at the track in three years.

Penske Championship Racing driver Brad Keselowski was docked six points and his crew chief Paul Wolfe was fined $25,000 after the front end of their No. 2 Ford was found to be too low after a post-race inspection at last weekend's Sprint Cup race at Dover International Speedway. The penalties drop Keselowski to 10th in the standings, eight points ahead of Hendrick Motorsports driver Jeff Gordon. Owner Roger Penske was docked six owner's points. The team won't appeal the penalties.

Penske Championship Racing said that driver Brad Keselowski's car failed a post-race inspection at Dover last weekend because of a broken part in the front of his Ford. NASCAR ruled that his car was too low after he finished fifth in the race. A broken part allowed a spring to fall and lower the car.

However, his Ford was measured too low in post-race inspection, and NASCAR officials will review the matter June 4. Keselowski could be fined and/or docked team points.

NASCAR chief appellate officer John Middlebrook upheld all the fines and points penalties for drivers Brad Keselowski and Joey Logano, but he reduced the suspensions of seven crew members from six races to two races. Keselowski and Logano were docked 25 points in the driver and owner standings.

Penske Championship Racing drivers Brad Keselowski and Joey Logano both lost their initial appeals of penalties against them Thursday, May 2. NASCAR upheld the fines, points penalties and suspensions issued for unapproved rear housing parts that were found during post-race inspections of both cars during the April 13 Texas race.

Fantasy Tip: None of these penalties or suspensions will affect Keselowski's or Logano's participation in the Sprint Cup race at Talladega Superspeedway this weekend or following races, however. If you are considering them for your lineup this weekend, carry on.
