HScott Motorsports | Justin Allgaier looking for more

Wed, 07 May 2014 18:30:19 -0700

HScott Motorsports crew chief Steve Addington is pleased with the progress of rookie driver Justin Allgaier, but the team is looking for more heading into Kansas Speedway for the 5-Hour Energy 400 Saturday, May 10. Allgaier is 28th in the points, and searching for his first Top 15 in the Sprint Cup Series. "We're headed in the right direction with this race team and I'm just real proud of all the guys that have been working their butts off," Addington said.

Fantasy Tip: Allgaier was a big dog on the Nationwide Series circuit, but he is finding his first full season in Cup a bit daunting. For fantasy purposes, he is a decent No. 4 or 5 driver if the price is right in salary cap formats, but he is just a fringe fantasy option in all other formats.

Penske Championship Racing | Sam Hornish Jr. to race in 2011

Mon, 26 Apr 2010 07:20:01 -0700

Penske Championship Racing owner Roger Penske said he plans to have driver Sam Hornish Jr. return to the Sprint Cup team in 2011, according to SceneDaily.com's Bob Pockrass. However, the team will need to find a sponsor for Hornish. "Our plan is to run three cars next year and Sam is in that program," Penske said. "We're planning on it. Sam has been with us, he won the Indy 500 with us, he came over here, he's endured and he's run better than his points position."
