Atlanta Braves RP Arodys Vizcaino was pulled with two outs in the ninth against the Miami Marlins Thursday, June 30, after allowing one run on one hit and two walks. RP Mauricio Cabrera recorded the final out to pick up his first save.
Fantasy Tip: Vizcaino has had back-to-back bad outings. He should still be considered the favorite to see most of the save chances for the Braves, but the situation is worth keeping an eye on.

Fantasy Tip: With a lefty on the hill, Inciarte will receive a day off. In his place, d'Arnaud will log a rare start in the outfield -- only his third of the year -- and this should ensure he gains eligibility as an outfielder in many leagues. However, while the journeyman has overachieved this season, his ceiling only limits him to NL-only and extremely deep mixed formats anyway.

Fantasy Tip: Infante has really struggled the last year-and-a-half, but he should see playing time against left-handers in a platoon with Jace Peterson at some point. Infante is an NL-only depth option, but your expectations shouldn't be very high.

Atlanta Braves SP Mike Foltynewicz (elbow) will come off the 15-day disabled list Thursday, June 30, to start against the Miami Marlins instead of making a second rehab start for Class AAA Gwinnett. As a result, SP Julio Teheran has been pushed back a day to Friday, July 1, to give him an extra day of rest.
Fantasy Tip: Folty has had an up-and-down year for Atlanta with a 3.51 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 7.6 K/9 in six starts. He certainly has potential but is pitching for one of the worst teams in the league, and he shouldn't be trusted against Miami in his first start off the DL today.

Fantasy Tip: Albies hit just .248 in 222 at-bats at Gwinnett after hitting .369 at Double-A. He rated the No. 3 prospect in their system, but he's just 19. He has a ways to go before reaching the majors, and he's mostly a dynasty leaguer.

Fantasy Tip: Peterson has hit in 10 consecutive games, hitting .341 (14-for-41) with four runs scored, two homers and four RBIs. He has re-emerged as a must-start in all NL-only fantasy leagues and DFS play while running hot.

Fantasy Tip: Teheran will now be matched up against the shaky Justin Nicolino rather than veteran Wei-Yin Chen, so he catches a break there. Despite a 3-7 record, he has a 2.46 ERA, 0.89 WHIP and .183 opponent batting average, making him a must-start fantasy option and DFS play.

Atlanta Braves 1B Freddie Freeman is hitting .351 with 17 extra-base hits (three triples, five home runs), a .425 on-base percentage and .660 slugging percentage in June. He has hit .443 (27-for-61) with 13 extra-base hits (two triples, four homers), a .493 on-base percentage and .820 slugging percentage in his last 15 games.
Fantasy Tip: After a slow start to the year, Freeman has really picked things up and has really been the lone offensive bright spot for the Braves all year. He's slashing .285/.368/.500 with 13 home runs and 28 RBI. The RBI totals are disappointing and won't pick up anytime soon with a weak lineup around Freeman. Other than that, though, Freeman has proved to be a fine starting first base candidate in all leagues.

Atlanta Braves RP Arodys Vizcaino allowed three runs (one earned) on two hits and two walks in a tied game against the Cleveland Indians Tuesday, June 28, and it was his third loss in his last 12 outings, and he's allowed 10 walks in 9 2/3 innings in that span. He had a 1.49 ERA and a .204 opponent's average in his first 56 outings from his return in early July last year to My 29, converting 15 of his 17 save chances and striking out 67 with 20 walks in 54 1/3 innings. However, in 15 appearances since then, he's 0-3 with a 3.55 ERA with three saves in four chances and 16 strikeouts to 10 walks in 12 2/3 innings.
Fantasy Tip: Vizcaino's ERA still sits at a respectable 2.16 on the year, but his 1.32 WHIP and 4.6 walks per nine innings is unsettling to his fantasy owners. There doesn't appear to be any danger of Vizcaino being bumped from the ninth-inning role, but he's hurting his owners more than he helps right now, and the Braves aren't giving him many save chances.

Fantasy Tip: Foltynewicz might be back in early July, but it's uncertain if he'll be back in the rotation, long relief, etc. With the team's injury issues in the starting rotation, he is likely to be slotted back in, but he remains nothing more than an option in the deepest of NL-only fantasy formats.

Atlanta Braves SP Matt Wisler allowed two earned runs, six hits and two walks while posting a career-high nine strikeouts in a no-decision Tuesday, June 28, against the Cleveland Indians. He threw 67 of his 98 pitches for strikes in a quality start.
Fantasy Tip: Wisler has been sharp over his past three outings, all quality starts. He also has nine quality starts over his past 11 outings dating back to April 26. Run support is always a problem, but he is a decent NL-only play in deeper leagues and a DFS bargain when the matchup is favorable.
Tue, 28 Jun 2016 20:01:55 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Peterson is hitting .316 (12-for-38) with four runs scored, two homers and four RBIs during his nine-game run. He is still only worth a look in deeper NL-only fantasy leagues and as a salary saver in DFS play.
Tue, 28 Jun 2016 19:38:27 -0700
Fantasy Tip: De La Cruz posted a 4.68 ERA and 1.49 WHIP in 57 2/3 innings for Class AAA Gwinnett, so don't look to him as a savior off the waiver wire in NL-only fantasy leagues or DFS.
Tue, 28 Jun 2016 13:03:09 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Davis is having a rebound fantasy season because of his added playing time and returned 36 runs, seven home runs, 28 RBI and 21 stolen bases with a .263/.328/.409. The speed alone makes him a viable option in all fantasy leagues. Santana receives a slight boost in daily contests Tuesday, but otherwise, there isn't a significant fantasy impact to Santana leading off. He should be viewed as a low-end starter at first base in the majority of formats.
Tue, 28 Jun 2016 12:08:04 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Gant has looked the part of a viable starting pitcher in cavernous mixed and NL-only formats with a 3.38 ERA, a 1.18 WHIP and a 8.2 K/9 through his three outings. However, he isn't a must-stash hurler given his small track record. Stay tuned for who will replace him in the rotation.
