Fantasy Tip: Banuelos ($4,500; or 9.0% of cap) is a solid mid-level FantasyScore option if he continues to stick around, as he has a sparkling 0.82 ERA in two outings.

Atlanta Braves C A.J. Pierzynski had three more hits Tuesday, July 7, against the Milwaukee Brewers, including a home run, while driving in two runs. He is 10-for-13 over his past three games, and it is the first time in his career he has at least three hits in three straight games.
Fantasy Tip: Pierzynski ($3,200; or 6.4% of cap) is a must-start in FantasyScore until he starts to cool off. However, with an afternoon game in Milwaukee Wednesday, he has been told he will get the day off.

Atlanta Braves SS Andrelton Simmons is out of the starting lineup Tuesday, July 7, against the Milwaukee Brewers. SS Pedro Ciriaco will start in the field and hit seventh in the order against RHP Tyler Cravy.
Fantasy Tip: Ciriaco ($1,600, 3.2% of cap) is hitting .333 against right-handed pitchers through 47 plate appearances. While Ciriaco lacks power and upside, FantasyScore owners can be content with a hit and possibly a run scored at the minimum price.

Fantasy Tip: Pierzynski ($3,200; or 6.4% of cap) has come alive over the past two games, collecting seven hits in nine at-bats, including three doubles. FantasyScore players will want to ride him until he cools.

Fantasy Tip: Maybin ($4,200, 8.4% of cap) has been producing at a high level dating back to the beginning of June. Over his past 30 games, he has 16 runs, two home runs, 17 RBI, eight stolen bases and a .336/.383/.426 slash line. Against Lohse, he is a solid value option for FantasyScore players.

Fantasy Tip: With Peterson ($4,400, 8.8% of cap) out, the Braves' everyday lineup all move up a slot with Cameron Maybin ($4,200, 8.4% of cap) leading off. It is a slight boost for Maybin. Against Loshe, he and Ciriaco ($1,600, 3.2% of cap) are viable FantasyScore plays. Ciriaco is especially interesting at a shallow position and a minimum price.

Fantasy Tip: Banuelos was impressive in his major league debut, striking out seven in 5 2/3 scoreless innings. However, he will face a surging Milwaukee team next time out, and he is a roll-of-the-dice play at FantasyScore given his lack of experience.
Sun, 05 Jul 2015 08:48:54 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Uribe ($2,100, 4.2% of cap) likely is receive a day off and should return to the lineup soon. Ciriaco ($1,600, 3.2% of cap) is hitting .321 in his limited playing time this season, but owners on FantasyScore should be able to find better options to use.
Sun, 05 Jul 2015 08:39:16 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Johnson ($3,500, 7.0% of cap) likely is sitting out because the team is facing a left-handed pitcher. Chris Johnson ($2,700, 5.4% of cap) has recorded a hit in only four of his last 16 games and probably should not be considered a starting option on FantasyScore.

Fantasy Tip: Maybin ($4,200, 8.4% of cap) has been a pleasant surprise for the Braves, and he continues show a nice combination of power and speed to go along with a .295 average. His numbers are steady against lefties and righties, and he makes a nice mid-priced option at FantasyScore right now.
Sat, 04 Jul 2015 14:24:17 -0700
Fantasy Tip: KJ ($3,500, 7.0% of cap) owns Correia to the tune of 10-for-30 (.333) with five homers and 10 RBI in his career. Johnson is a glaring buy on FantasyScore today.
Fri, 03 Jul 2015 19:43:29 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Johnson appeared in a save situation Friday because CL Jason Grilli had pitched in each of the team's previous two games. Johnson is worth keeping in NL-only and deeper mixed fantasy leagues that use the holds category and would become Atlanta's full-time closer if Grilli were to get injured.
Fri, 03 Jul 2015 19:28:24 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Teheran ($5,100, 10.2% of cap) improved to 5-0 with a 2.04 ERA through eight starts at home this season. On the road, he is 1-4 with a 7.40 ERA in nine starts. His next start will come on the road against the Milwaukee Brewers next week, so you'll probably want to avoid using him in FantasyScore.

Atlanta Braves SP Manny Banuelos (dehydration) is believed to be on an innings limit this year, due to the fact that he returned from Tommy John surgery last season. The limit is estimated to be between 120 and 130 innings and Banuelos has already tossed 88 2/3 innings this season, including his time with Class AAA Gwinnett. Manager Fredi Gonzalez said no shutdown date has been determined.
Fantasy Tip: Banuelos ($3,500, 7.0% of cap) could be moved to the bullpen after the All-Star break in an attempt to limit his innings, when SP Williams Perez (foot) is activated from the disabled list. For now, he will remain in the rotation and will face the lowly Milwaukee Brewers Tuesday, July 7.
Fri, 03 Jul 2015 12:27:35 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Gomes ($2,500, 5.0% of cap) has a .420 on-base percentage against southpaws this season, and he has historically had success against lefties. FantasyScore players should view Gomes as a low-end flier for contests Friday. His seasonal value is minimal, even in NL-only and cavernous mixed leagues.
