Fantasy Tip: Schoop got off to a bit of a slow start in the run-producing department immediately after the All-Star break, but he has four RBI over his last three games. He is also tied for fifth among all second basemen with his 17 homers this season and ranks fourth among them in RBI (58). He has been a solid four-category contributor for the bulk of the season and can be considered a must-start in leagues of all sizes.

Fantasy Tip: O'Day likely will not receive many save opportunities with Zach Britton in the bullpen but should still be a decent option in deeper mixed leagues because of his holds.

Baltimore Orioles SS J.J. Hardy and C Matt Wieters (foot) remain out of the starting lineup against Cleveland Indians SP Corey Kluber Sunday, July 24. INF Ryan Flaherty will bat seventh and play shortstop and C Caleb Joseph will start behind the plate and bat eighth. In addition, OF Julio Borbon is back in left field and will hit ninth.
Fantasy Tip: Flaherty is 5-for-11 versus Kluber in his career, while Joseph is 7-for-19 over the past week following a slow start at the plate this year. Both players are worth considering as inexpensive fliers in daily fantasy games.

Fantasy Tip: Wieters was slumping prior to the injury, but he is worth waiting on in deeper mixed and AL-only formats.

Fantasy Tip: Gausman has been better than his 2-7 record indicates, and you could do worse if you need a starter in AL-only leagues.

Fantasy Tip: After a bit if a slow start out of the All-Star break, Trumbo has homered in back-to-back games. With his power stroke back, don't hesitate to use him in DFS formats.

Fantasy Tip: The Orioles have been looking for pitching help leading up to the trade deadline and may be able to acquire Cashner. He would join the starting lineup if he is traded to the Orioles and would be a starting option in mixed leagues.

Fantasy Tip: Jimenez has struggled this season and currently has a 7.38 ERA in 18 games. He likely would continue to be a starting pitcher if he is traded but is not a great fantasy option at this point.
Fri, 22 Jul 2016 22:04:10 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Upton, who was acquired in what was essentially a salary dump in 2015 when the Pads dealt for his brother, is in the midst of his best season since he was a member of the Tampa Bay Rays. He's one of just three players with 20 or more steals and double-digit homers, and that's despite playing in a notorious pitcher's park. If he were to join the O's his value would receive an uptick, and he'd become a hot property in AL-only leagues.

Baltimore Orioles SP Dylan Bundy won for the first time as a starter, allowing one run on five hits while striking out five over five innings against the Cleveland Indians Friday, July 22, and he could remain a starter for the rest of the season.
Fantasy Tip: Bundy has posted solid strikeout numbers out of the bullpen, and he is worth a grabbing in AL-only leagues and deeper mixed formats as he transitions into the rotation.
Fri, 22 Jul 2016 19:28:16 -0700
Fantasy Tip: It was only a matter of time before Trumbo went deep, and he still leads the majors on homers. He should have a permanent starting spot in all formats.
Fri, 22 Jul 2016 15:29:47 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Alvarez offers limited fantasy upside because he lacks speed and power, but he did hit .280 through 398 plate appearances with Norfolk this year. He could make for a low-priced flier in daily contests, but he's likely not worth adding in seasonal leagues.

Updating a previous report, Baltimore Orioles OF Joey Rickard (thumb) was placed on the disabled list with a ligament injury in his right thumb Friday, July 22. The transaction is retroactive to Thursday, July 21.
Fantasy Tip: While it might be insignificant, backdating the DL stint could be an indication that Rickard will only require the minimum time on the disabled list. He's a potential stash candidate in cavernous mixed and AL-only leagues if you have the luxury, but in shallower formats, you can replace the rookie.
Fri, 22 Jul 2016 15:01:13 -0700
Fantasy Tip: This should line Wieters up to return soon. He's struggling to string together a solid run and sits with a mediocre 25 runs, nine home runs, 38 RBI and a .250/.306/.403 slash line. There's upside, but currently, Wieters isn't a must-start backstop in single-catcher leagues.
Fri, 22 Jul 2016 13:43:08 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Expect Rickard to miss some time and likely land on the DL. He's having a respectable rookie season and sits with 32 runs, five home runs, 19 RBI and a .268/.319/.377 slash line through 282 plate appearances. He's still best left to cavernous mixed and AL-only leagues, though. Stay tuned for an official update on his status.
