Fantasy Tip: Davis ($4,000, 8.0% of your cap) is an all-or-nothing kind of player right now and is probably relegated to matchup plays on FantasyScore.

Baltimore Orioles 2B Jonathan Schoop (knee) is expected to miss six to eight weeks with a torn posterior collateral ligament in his knee. Manager Buck Showalter hopes Schoop's youth accelerates his healing timetable.
Fantasy Tip: Schoop has shown some power in his young career and is worth stashing on the DL in traditional formats. He'll be a cheap daily option on FantasyScore upon his return. Ryan Flaherty ($1,800, 3.6% of your cap) will likely fill in, and Everth Cabrera ($2,400, 4.8%) could figure into a platoon once SS J.J. Hardy (shoulder) returns. Flaherty has fringe value on FantasyScore, but Cabrera has more because of his threat of steals.

Baltimore Orioles OF Adam Jones went 4-for-5 with a home run, a run scored and five RBIs in an 8-3 win over the Boston Red Sox Sunday, April 19, and he is batting .457 on the year with five home runs and 16 RBIs.
Fantasy Tip: Jones ($6,000, 12.0% of cap) won't come cheap, but he is more than worth his price tag at FantasyScore right now. Start him until he cools off.

Fantasy Tip: Cabrera ($2,400, 4.8% of cap) has seen consistent playing time this season and is batting .273 in nine games. He also only has one stolen base in that span. Cabrera could be an option for owners on FantasyScore that are looking to save some money.

Fantasy Tip: Young ($2,500, 5.0% of cap) has recorded four hits over his last two games and is batting .333 early in the season. Owners on FantasyScore could consider using Young because of his cheaper price.

Fantasy Tip: Paredes ($1,600, 3.2% of cap) recorded two hits in five at-bats in his first game of the season Saturday, April 18. Owners on FantasyScore may consider using Paredes in their lineups but should be able to find someone with more success so far this season.

Fantasy Tip: De Aza ($2,400, 4.8% of cap) is off to a solid start to the season but will sit out Sunday. Delmon Young ($2,500, 5.0% of cap) will be starting in left field and could be a solid starting option for owners on FantasyScore.

Fantasy Tip: Pearce ($3,100, 6.2% of cap) picked up two hits in his last game but is receiving the day off. Jimmy Paredes ($1,600, 3.2% of cap) will serve as the designated hitter during the game and is coming off a 2-for-5 performance in his last game.

Baltimore Orioles RP Zach Britton registered his fourth save of the season in Baltimore's 4-1 win over the Boston Red Sox Saturday, April 18. It was Britton's third save in consecutive games, and his two strikeouts upped total to 10 over 6 1/3 innings and his K/9 to 14.2 for the season.
Fantasy Tip: Britton has now converted 41 of 43 save opportunities since taking over the closer role last year, and the former starter appears to have the pitch arsenal and mindset to dominate the ninth inning. It is especially encouraging to see his strikeouts adding up in bunches. Britton emerging as a high-end closer -- and potentially even breaking into the top-tier -- this season isn't out of the question.

Baltimore Orioles 2B Jonathan Schoop (knee) has been placed on the 15-day disabled list because of a Grade 1 partial PCL tear and MCL sprain in his right knee. He suffered the injury while tripping over Boston Red Sox 1B Mike Napoli Friday, April 17. Schoop will not require surgery and is expected to return at some point later this season. He is likely to begin his rehab in Sarasota, Fla.
Fantasy Tip: Ryan Flaherty ($1,800, 3.6% of cap), who has some pop in his bat but won't hit for a high average, is the most likely candidate to receive regular playing time at second base in Schoop's absence.

Fantasy Tip: A deal that would send Navarro ($2,100, 4.2% of cap) to Baltimore is growing increasingly unlikely, with Matt Wieters expected to rejoin the club early next month and Caleb Joseph off to a strong start this season. The Blue Jays have said they would consider trading Navarro if another team has an everyday job for him.

Fantasy Tip: Hardy ($2,900, 5.8% of cap) could be back in Baltimore to make his season debut sometime late next week. Everth Cabrera ($2,400, 4.8% of cap) has seen the most playing time at shortstop in Hardy's absence, and he can be a sneaky FantasyScore option in the right matchups because of his speed.

Fantasy Tip: Wieters ($3,200, 6.4% of cap) could return to the O's early next month if he doesn't suffer any setbacks. Continue to stash him in a DL slot in all fantasy leagues. Until then, Caleb Joseph ($1,900, 3.8% of cap) is a low-end catching matchup play at FantasyScore.

Baltimore Orioles SS J.J. Hardy (shoulder) took a day off from batting practice Thursday, April 16. He will resume batting practice and workouts Friday, April 17, but is not ready for a rehab assignment.
Fantasy Tip: Hardy is likely still approximately two weeks away from rejoining the Orioles. FantasyScore owners should take a wait-and-see approach with Hardy. It would be wise to give him a few games to readjust to major league pitching before utilizing him in contests. Everth Cabrera ($2,400, 4.8% of cap) has been playing shortstop and recently hitting atop the Orioles' lineup, but returning limited results. Cabrera is nothing but a low-priced flier for daily contests.

Baltimore Orioles 3B Manny Machado cracked his first home run of the season Wednesday, April 15, against the New York Yankees. It was his only hit in four at-bats. He also had a walk and two strikeouts.
Fantasy Tip: Machado has struggled at the dish to open the season, but perhaps the homer will jump-start him heading into weekend series at Fenway Park against the Red Sox. Over his career he is a .311 hitter (19-for-61) with five doubles, two homers, 10 RBIs and an .840 OPS at Fenway.
