Fantasy Tip: Norris ($3,800; or 7.6% of cap) cannot be trusted in FantasyScore. He has slipped to 2-7 with a 6.79 ERA, and he could be in danger of losing his spot in the rotation.

Baltimore Orioles SP Dylan Bundy (shoulder) remains shut down indefinitely, and he might not pitch again this season. The team might aim for a return in the fall instructional league instead. Manager Buck Showalter said Monday, June 29, that surgery has not been discussed, and there aren't any plans for Bundy to have a platelet-rich plasma injection, but everything is subject to change.
Fantasy Tip: Bundy was considered one of the top pitching prospects in baseball, but his shoulder injury has certainly taken away from some of his luster. At this point the only fantasy players bothering with Bundy should be those in long-term keeper formats.

Baltimore Orioles 2B Jonathan Schoop (knee) worked out Monday, June 29, with vice president of baseball operations Brady Anderson. Schoop might continue his rehab assignment with Class A Frederick rather than Triple-A Norfolk. "I know every day that passes we feel better about Jon's recovery, so he's getting something from it. He's already had, I think Brady said, 60 plate appearances," manager Buck Showalter said.
Fantasy Tip: Schoop ($2,100; or 4.2% of cap) appears to be closing in on a return at or before the July 4 holiday. Before trusting him in FantasyScore, have him play a game or two with the big club without any setbacks.

Baltimore Orioles SP Kevin Gausman will start against the Texas Rangers Thursday, July 2. He is expected to be optioned to the minor leagues after the start so he can remain on a five-day start schedule through the All-Star break.
Fantasy Tip: Gausman ($4,500, 9.0% of cap) projects as a high-risk, high-reward start Thursday. He allowed just two runs on four hits to the high-scoring Toronto Blue Jays in his first start of the season, though, so there is upside. Seasonal owners in cavernous mixed and AL-only leagues should grab Gausman with the hope he enters the rotation full time later this season.

Baltimore Orioles 2B Jimmy Paredes is not in the starting lineup Monday, June 29. 2B Steve Pearce draws into the lineup at first base, and he is batting seventh against Texas Rangers SP Wandy Rodriguez Monday.
Fantasy Tip: Paredes ($3,900, 7.8% of cap) is heating back up, as he is riding a 19-for-44 stretch with 10 runs, three home runs, 10 RBI and a 1.163 OPS over his past 12 games. Pearce ($2,300, 4.6% of cap) is beginning to turn the corner offensively, too, with a .357/.400/.500 slash line over his past 11 games, but he is still a huge risk for FantasyScore players.

Fantasy Tip: While Young's ($2,800, 5.6% of cap) .309 batting average against lefties is enticing for FantasyScore players, he has just one extra-base hit and a .327 slugging percentage against them. Still, Young is worth considering as a low-priced flier Monday, especially if you're looking to tee up a few other Orioles.
Mon, 29 Jun 2015 12:45:54 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Reimold ($1,900, 3.8% of cap) is a sneaky source of cap relief for FantasyScore players Monday. He has a plus-spot in the lineup, and he owns a .353/.421/.824 slash line against southpaws this season, albeit in only 19 plate appearances.
Mon, 29 Jun 2015 12:41:02 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Wieters ($4,200, 8.4% of cap) can be avoided in all formats Monday. He has nine runs, three home runs, 10 RBI and a .288/.316/.596 slash line over 16 games since returning from injury, and he projects to be a near-elite catcher in all fantasy formats going forward. Joseph ($2,500, 5.0% of cap) has just one multi-hit game over his past 20 starts, and FantasyScore players should likely aim higher Monday.
Mon, 29 Jun 2015 12:37:14 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Jones ($5,900, 11.8% of cap) returned for Game 1 of the doubleheader Sunday, June 28, but sat out the night cap. He has the handedness advantage against Rodriguez, but might not be the safest FantasyScore option given the nature of his injury. View Jones as a high-risk, high-reward play Monday.

Fantasy Tip: The fact that he already set a career high in homers tells you a lot about the season Machado ($5,700, 11.4% of cap) is having. He is hitting for average and power and stealing bases, and he needs to be considered at FantasyScore whenever he draws a decent matchup.
Sun, 28 Jun 2015 18:54:02 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Jones ($5,900, 11.8% of cap) numbers are trending down a bit, and given his price tag, he needs to be avoided at FantasyScore until he proves his shoulder injury isn't impacting his swing.

Baltimore Orioles C Matt Wieters is out of the starting lineup Sunday, June 28, against the Cleveland Indians. C Caleb Joseph will start behind the plate and hit ninth in the order against RHP Trevor Bauer.
Fantasy Tip: Joseph ($2,500, 5.0% of cap) is just 2-for-22 in his past six games, and he shouldn't be of interest to FantasyScore owners.
Sun, 28 Jun 2015 08:19:37 -0700
Baltimore Orioles 2B Steve Pearce is starting in left field and hitting fifth in the order Sunday, June 28, against the Cleveland Indians and RHP Trevor Bauer. OF Travis Snider comes out of the starting lineup.
Fantasy Tip: Pearce ($2,300, 4.6% of cap) went 3-for-5 with two doubles in his most recent game, representing his third multi-hit game in June. Pearce is hitting just .200 against righties for the season, and he comes with a very low floor on FantasyScore.
Sun, 28 Jun 2015 06:58:24 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Gausman allowed just four hits and two earned runs over five innings in his lone major league start this season, against the Toronto Blue Jays. Gausman has a strikeout rate of 10.80 batters per nine innings in the minor leagues this season, but FantasyScore owners will want to see him settle back into the majors before investing.
Sat, 27 Jun 2015 06:30:09 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Britton also boasts an impressive line of ratios: 1.93 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 10.2 K/9. He has rattled off nine of his saves since Thursday, June 4, too. Perhaps, Britton isn't deserving of a top-tier mention, but he certainly is close. Barring injury, he'll be in contention for leading the league in saves.
