Baltimore Orioles OF Mark Trumbo smacked his major league-leading 23rd home run of the season Wednesday, June 29, against the San Diego Padres. He now has more homers through 77 games after hitting 22 in 142 games last season.
Fantasy Tip: Trumbo has re-emerged as a must-start in all fantasy leagues this season with his frequent power. He is also a must-have DFS play regardless of price tag.

Baltimore Orioles SP Yovani Gallardo allowed three earned runs, three hits and three walks with six strikeouts over six innings in a win Wednesday, June 29, against the San Diego Padres. It was his best outing since coming off the 15-day disabled list.
Fantasy Tip: Gallardo is slowly knocking off the rust from his long layoff and he is worth adding in all AL-only fantasy leagues and deeper mixed formats if he is still available off the waiver wire.

Baltimore Orioles 3B Manny Machado went 2-for-4 with a double, walk, two runs scored and three RBIs Wednesday, June 29, against the San Diego Padres to push his hitting streak to nine games. He is hitting .525 (21-for-40) during his nine-game run.
Fantasy Tip: Machado has been on a tear, and is worth using in DFS most every night regardless of price tag until he starts to cool off significantly.

Baltimore Orioles OF Adam Jones went 2-for-4 with a walk, two runs scored and an RBI Wednesday, June 29, against the San Diego Padres to extend his hitting streak to 10 games. He is hitting .409 (18-for-44) with two doubles, three home runs and 10 RBIs during his streak.
Fantasy Tip: Jones started off a little slow this season by his standards, but his patient fantasy owners are being rewarded. He has heated up significantly like the weather so far this summer.

Baltimore Orioles SP Jonathan Schoop posted two more doubles Wednesday, June 29, against the San Diego Padres to go along with an RBI and three runs scored to push his batting average to .301. Schoop pushed his hitting streak to 11 games, and he is hitting .389 (23-for-47) with seven doubles, three home runs and nine RBIs during the impressive run.
Fantasy Tip: Schoop has moved up to second in the Baltimore lineup and it is paying big dividends, as they get more production since he sees a few more at-bats per week now. He is also paying big dividends for fantasy owners in all formats and DFS play.

Fantasy Tip: A move to the leadoff spot has agreed with Jones, and he's hitting .310 with 11 bombs and 26 RBI in the month of June. Combine that with his comfort in San Diego against a lefty today and you have a great option for fantasy lineups. Click on him with confidence.

Baltimore Orioles C Matt Wieters and OF Hyun-Soo Kim are not in the starting lineup Wednesday, June 29. C Francisco Pena is behind the dish and is hitting seventh, while OF Joey Rickard starts in left field and is batting eighth against San Diego Padres SP Christian Friedrich.
Fantasy Tip: With a lefty on the hill, Wieters and Kim are both given a day off. Pena is hitting only .214 in limited time this year and should be avoided everywhere. Rickard has faded considerably after a strong spring, and he doesn't possess much thump with the lumber. He's a low-end DFS pick today.

Fantasy Tip: Like many of the O's, Machado is locked in at the plate and has now hit safely in eight consecutive games. His numbers in that stretch: 19-for-36 (.528), 1 HR, 5 RBI and 8 runs scored. If he's on your team, sit back and enjoy the benefits.
Tue, 28 Jun 2016 22:49:40 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Schoop has been, dare I say, a mighty good man of late. During his current 10-game hitting streak, Schoop is 21-for-43 (.488) with three home runs, eight RBI and a whopping 15 runs scored. He's no threat to run, but don't let that dissuade you from plugging him into your everyday lineup for the time being.

Fantasy Tip: Jimenez vs. the Padres: 2-0, 2.45 ERA, 1.36 WHIP, 12 K's in 11 IP. Jimenez vs. the rest of baseball: 3-7, 7.34 ERA, 2.00 WHIP, 57 K's in 65 IP. Unless the Orioles can successfully petition MLB to allow Jimenez to exclusively face the Padres going forward, the veteran is of no interest to anyone besides desperate AL-only owners.

Fantasy Tip: Jones has been on a tear for most of this month, hitting .315 with 10 home runs and 25 RBI to go along with 25 runs scored after batting .234 and totaling five homers, 23 RBI and 21 runs through the end of May. Like almost every other notable Baltimore hitter at the moment, he's a must-start in fantasy.

Fantasy Tip: Trumbo, who also ranks third in the AL with 55 RBI, has scored 43 runs and is batting .279, providing exceptional four-category production. In a favorable ballpark for hitting home runs like Camden Yards and in such a stacked lineup, Trumbo is well-positioned to blow right past his previous career highs of 34 homers and 100 RBI. Every day he's in the Orioles' lineup, he needs to be in yours.

Fantasy Tip: His seven grand slams since 2011 are the most in the majors over that time. Davis has homered in back-to-back contests after failing to leave the yard in his previous 11. Still, he's enjoying his finest month of the season so far, batting .280 with eight home runs and 22 RBI to go along with 22 runs scored. Davis is obviously elite option in the power categories and needs to remain in lineups, even if the Orioles travel to Petco Park for the first of two games against the San Diego Padres beginning on Tuesday.
Sun, 26 Jun 2016 08:59:01 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Pena is 6-for-25 with a home run and three RBI this season but is just 1-for-10 with five strikeouts over the past two weeks. Better catching options should be available in DFS for a similar price.
Sun, 26 Jun 2016 07:45:55 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Schoop has emerged as four-category machine for fantasy owners this season with 38 runs, 12 home runs, 42 RBI and a .287/.317/.489 slash line. Take the hit in stolen bases and view Schoop as strong starter in all fantasy leagues. Rememer, Schoop started slow, too. He's done most of the damage over the past 55 games with 34 runs, nine home runs, 34 RBI and a .859 OPS.
