Baltimore Orioles OF Adam Jones (head, neck, wrists) was back in the starting lineup against the Texas Rangers Friday, Aug. 28, after crashing into the outfield wall during the game against the Kansas City Royals Thursday, Aug. 27. Jones was examined by Rangers team doctor Keith Meister prior to the game and he passed all of the exams, including a concussion test, according to manager Buck Showalter.
Fantasy Tip: FantasyScore owners can go back to considering Jones ($5,900, 11.8% of cap) as an option for future lineups, provided that he makes it through Friday's game without experiencing any problems.

Updating previous reports, Baltimore Orioles manager Buck Showalter said OF Adam Jones (head, neck, wrists) would be evaluated in Texas Friday, Aug. 28, although he reportedly feels better after crashing into the outfield wall Thursday, Aug. 27, during the first inning of a game against the Kansas City Royals. "I don't think there's any head trauma, concussion-wise," Showalter said.
Fantasy Tip: Although Jones ($5,900, 11.8% of cap) is a solid contributor in FantasyScore most nights, owners should avoid using him in his first game back. Don't be surprised if he is held out of Friday's game against the Texas Rangers.

Fantasy Tip: Tillman ($6,400, 12.8% of cap) has struggled of late, having allowed 14 runs over 22 innings in four outings this month. He is scheduled to make his next start against the Tampa Bay Rays Tuesday, Sept. 1.

Baltimore Orioles OF Adam Jones (head, neck, wrists) said he hopes to be able to play Friday, Aug. 28, after leaving the game early Thursday, Aug. 27, because of concussion-like symptoms and neck stiffness. Jones also underwent X-rays on both of his wrists, but those came back negative.
Fantasy Tip: There is a good chance that Jones ($5,900, 11.8% of cap) will sit out a least one game because of his injuries, so owners should keep an eye on the situation. Jones is a solid starting option most nights on FantasyScore when he is healthy.

Fantasy Tip: Owners should look for an update on Jones' ($5,900, 11.8% of cap) status after the game to see how long he may be sidelined. Jones has played well this season and should be a starting option on FantasyScore when healthy.

Fantasy Tip: The move opens playing time for Henry Urrutia ($3,400, 6.8% of cap), Steve Pearce ($2,300, 4.6% of cap) and Jimmy Paredes ($3,300, 6.6% of cap). The three project to split starts in left field and at-bats as the designated hitter. Their value in seasonal leagues is limited, but there is some FantasyScore upside in favorable matchups. Reimold can be dropped in all seasonal formats.

Fantasy Tip: Alvarez has a .275-16-75 line in 512 at-bats at Norfolk. He's an AL-only add.
Wed, 26 Aug 2015 14:39:36 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Paredes ($3,300, 6.6% of cap) owns a .181/.213/.236 slash line over 75 plate appearances since the All-Star break, as he has really fallen on hard times after a hot start to the season. Facing Cueto ($9,700, 19.4% of cap), Paredes is an extremely risky play at FantasyScore, and you should be able to find better value Wednesday.
Tue, 25 Aug 2015 15:17:56 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Pearce ($2,300, 4.6% of cap) has a single pinch-hit appearance since going on the disabled list with an oblique injury Saturday, July 18. You'll likely want to let him shake off some rust before trusting him in any fantasy format, but especially at FantasyScore. Urrutia ($3,400, 6.8% of cap) is 9-for-33 with three runs and six RBI through his first nine games. He'll receive occasional duty in the outfield as long as he is handling the bat alright, so he warrants a roster spot in cavernous mixed and AL-only leagues.
Tue, 25 Aug 2015 15:14:30 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Janish was just recalled, and he could hold fleeting value in cavernous mixed and AL-only leagues while J.J. Hardy ($3,300, 6.6% of cap) is out. You'll likely want to aim higher than Janish in daily contests Tuesday, though. Over his last 221 games in the majors, he owns a .202/.259/.250 slash line.
Tue, 25 Aug 2015 15:06:37 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Joseph ($3,600, 7.2% of cap) is riding a 1-for-12 slide, and his .197/.232/.364 slash line against left-handed starters doesn't instill a lot of confidence. View Jospeh as a potential low-priced value play at FantasyScore Tuesday, but he is far from a lineup lock.
Tue, 25 Aug 2015 14:27:41 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Hardy ($3,300, 6.6% of cap) is expected to only need the minimum time on the disabled list, so he is worth a short-term stash in deep mixed leagues. Ryan Flaherty ($1,800, 3.6% of cap) has been starting in place of Hardy, and Flaherty has fleeting value in cavernous mixed and AL-only leagues and is a low-priced flier at FantasyScore.

Updating a previous report, Baltimore Orioles SS J.J. Hardy (groin) received positive results from his MRI exam, and he will rejoin the Orioles Tuesday, Aug. 25. Baltimore is hopeful Hardy will only require the minimum of 15 days on the disabled list.
Fantasy Tip: The timeline would keep him out through the second week of September. Hardy ($3,300, 6.6% of cap) is a fringe asset in deep mixed leagues, and while he can be stashed, it isn't necessary if you need the roster spot. Check back for updates on his recovery and return timetable. Ryan Flaherty ($1,800, 3.6% of cap) is starting at shortstop Monday, Aug. 24, and he projects to receive the majority of starts at the position in Hardy's absence.
Mon, 24 Aug 2015 15:49:22 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Clevenger ($2,500, 5.0% of cap) has played well of late with a .395/.422/.535 slash line over 45 plate appearances with the Orioles this season, including an active seven-game hitting streak. Check back for updates on when Clevenger will rejoin the team, and avoid him in all fantasy formats until then.
Mon, 24 Aug 2015 13:47:08 -0700
Fantasy Tip: J.J. Hardy is on the DL, so Flaherty ($1,800, 3.6% of cap) should receive the bulk of playing time at shortstop for the near future. He's a light-hitting utility infielder that shouldn't receive a lot of attention outside of AL-only leagues. He's a deep sleeper on FantasyScore against Medlen and the Royals.
