Fantasy Tip: The scoreless streak is the longest in the majors this season, and Gallardo ($7,200, 14.4% of cap) has now allowed two runs or less in eight straight starts. Modest strikeout totals and poor run support limit his upside a bit, but as long as he is blanking opponents, he makes a solid No. 2 pitcher at FantasyScore.

Fantasy Tip: Lough ($1,800, 3.6% of cap) should be an afterthought on FantasyScore, especially at the tail end of B'more's lineup. Plus, Gallardo only allowed two earned runs in 33 1/3 innings over his last five starts. Stay away from Lough tonight.

Fantasy Tip: Machado ($6,000, 12.0% of cap) went 21-for-51 (.412) with three homers, 11 RBIs and nine runs scored during the streak. He is batting .303 with 16 homers and 44 RBIs through 78 games this season.

Fantasy Tip: Chen ($6,100, 12.2% of cap) has the highest strikeout rate of his career, at 7.86 batters per nine innings. Chen will make for a strong option in his next start Monday, July 6, against the Minnesota Twins.

Fantasy Tip: This is a huge blow to Young's ($2,800, 5.6% of cap) already diminished fantasy stock. He is only worth holding in AL-only and cavernous mixed leagues, although even there, he is nothing more than a desperation stash. The move helps Nolan Reimold's ($1,900, 3.8% of cap) value, as he projects to receive the majority of starts against left-handed pitchers going forward.

Fantasy Tip: Joseph ($2,500, 5.0% of cap) hit just .196 (9-for-46) with a home run and three RBI in June, but a struggling Martinez could be just what he needs to get on track. For what it's worth, Joseph has also hit much better at home this year. Consider him a sleeper catching play tonight.

Fantasy Tip: Machado ($6,000; or 12.0% of cap) has hit .412 (21-for-51) with nine runs scored, three homers and 11 RBIs during his 12-game run.
Tue, 30 Jun 2015 21:12:09 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Davis ($4,500; or 9.0% of cap) has hit safely in 10 straight games, hitting .351 (13-for-37) with four homers, 10 RBIs and eight runs scored. He is an obvious must-start in FantasyScore while running hot.
Tue, 30 Jun 2015 13:42:36 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Schoop ($2,400, 4.8% of cap) is nearing the end of his rehab window, and he could come off the DL to join the Orioles later this week. Expect him to see plenty of starts at second base when he's back, hurting the fantasy value of Ryan Flaherty ($1,800, 3.6% of cap). Schoop is more attractive to owners in deep mixed and AL-only leagues and has more offensive upside than Flaherty.
Tue, 30 Jun 2015 13:08:57 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Snider ($2,900, 5.8% of cap) is actually hitting better against lefties (.313) than righties (.259) this year, but he has all three of his home runs against right-handers, and Lewis has struggled in his career against the O's. Camden Yards is a hitter's park, too, making Snider an intriguing sleeper play on FantasyScore.
Mon, 29 Jun 2015 21:34:46 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Norris ($3,800; or 7.6% of cap) cannot be trusted in FantasyScore. He has slipped to 2-7 with a 6.79 ERA, and he could be in danger of losing his spot in the rotation.

Baltimore Orioles SP Dylan Bundy (shoulder) remains shut down indefinitely, and he might not pitch again this season. The team might aim for a return in the fall instructional league instead. Manager Buck Showalter said Monday, June 29, that surgery has not been discussed, and there aren't any plans for Bundy to have a platelet-rich plasma injection, but everything is subject to change.
Fantasy Tip: Bundy was considered one of the top pitching prospects in baseball, but his shoulder injury has certainly taken away from some of his luster. At this point the only fantasy players bothering with Bundy should be those in long-term keeper formats.

Baltimore Orioles 2B Jonathan Schoop (knee) worked out Monday, June 29, with vice president of baseball operations Brady Anderson. Schoop might continue his rehab assignment with Class A Frederick rather than Triple-A Norfolk. "I know every day that passes we feel better about Jon's recovery, so he's getting something from it. He's already had, I think Brady said, 60 plate appearances," manager Buck Showalter said.
Fantasy Tip: Schoop ($2,100; or 4.2% of cap) appears to be closing in on a return at or before the July 4 holiday. Before trusting him in FantasyScore, have him play a game or two with the big club without any setbacks.
Mon, 29 Jun 2015 13:57:53 -0700
Baltimore Orioles SP Kevin Gausman will start against the Texas Rangers Thursday, July 2. He is expected to be optioned to the minor leagues after the start so he can remain on a five-day start schedule through the All-Star break.
Fantasy Tip: Gausman ($4,500, 9.0% of cap) projects as a high-risk, high-reward start Thursday. He allowed just two runs on four hits to the high-scoring Toronto Blue Jays in his first start of the season, though, so there is upside. Seasonal owners in cavernous mixed and AL-only leagues should grab Gausman with the hope he enters the rotation full time later this season.

Baltimore Orioles 2B Jimmy Paredes is not in the starting lineup Monday, June 29. 2B Steve Pearce draws into the lineup at first base, and he is batting seventh against Texas Rangers SP Wandy Rodriguez Monday.
Fantasy Tip: Paredes ($3,900, 7.8% of cap) is heating back up, as he is riding a 19-for-44 stretch with 10 runs, three home runs, 10 RBI and a 1.163 OPS over his past 12 games. Pearce ($2,300, 4.6% of cap) is beginning to turn the corner offensively, too, with a .357/.400/.500 slash line over his past 11 games, but he is still a huge risk for FantasyScore players.
