Fantasy Tip: Jimenez ($5,200, 10.4% of cap) has only made it out of the sixth inning once in his last seven outings and he is 2-3 over that stretch. His next start will come against the New York Yankees Wednesday, Sept. 9.

Baltimore Orioles 1B Chris Davis went 2-for-5 with a pair of home runs and three RBIs against the Toronto Blue Jays Friday, Sept. 4. He became the first player in franchise history to hit at least 40 homers in multiple seasons.
Fantasy Tip: In three games this month, Davis ($5,100, 10.2% of cap) has five home runs and eight RBIs, so FantasyScore owners should continue using him at first base until he cools off at the plate.

Fantasy Tip: Paredes ($3,200, 6.4% of cap) has fallen out of favor in Baltimore after a really nice first half of the season. With rosters expanding this week, it'll continue to be hard for him to find his way into the starting lineup. Most will easily overlook him tonight on FantasyScore, and he's a very mediocre second base target against Hutchison, who has been a much better pitcher at home in 2015.

Fantasy Tip: If you haven't already, drop Gonzalez ($5,500, 11.0% of cap) in all fantasy formats. He could make it back for a start or two to finish off the year, but he won't be of any service to your fantasy squads and would likely be on a limited pitch count.

Baltimore Orioles SP Dylan Bundy (shoulder) is expected to begin a throwing program after receiving clearance from Dr. James Andrews. "I'm going to start throwing next week real light, test it for three or four days, then go to Florida and start the throwing program," Bundy said. "I'll start out at 50 feet and gradually get to 120, maybe 150, and by the end of instructs I should be on a half-mound. Then they said to shut down and rest until spring training."
Fantasy Tip: With just 22 innings of work this season and only 63 1/3 innings over the past two years, Bundy has a lot to prove before he can be viewed as anything more than a stash candidate in long-term keeper and dynasty formats. Continue to check back for updates, but assuming there are no further setbacks or other injuries, Bundy could land in the majors at some point in 2016.

Baltimore Orioles SP Miguel Gonzalez (shoulder, elbow) could be placed on the disabled list. MRIs on his right shoulder and elbow revealed nothing more serious than tendinitis, which is causing inflammation, and there is nothing structurally wrong, though.
Fantasy Tip: Gonzalez ($5,500, 11.0% of cap) is a low-end fantasy option in all formats, and he isn't worth holding onto outside of AL-only and cavernous mixed leagues. He is expected to return to start again before the season wraps up, but at best he is a risky matchup play at FantasyScore and potential streamer in seasonal leagues. After all, he has allowed at least three runs in each of his past seven starts with a 7.46 ERA during the stretch.

Fantasy Tip: Davis ($5,100, 10.2% of cap) has three homers and five RBIs over the past two games. If you need power at a mid-level price, Davis is your man until he cools off.

Baltimore Orioles SP Mike Wright (calf) is a candidate to start against the Toronto Blue Jays Saturday, Sept. 5, on three days' rest, according to manager Buck Showalter. He threw six scoreless innings in a rehab start for Class AAA Norfolk Tuesday, Sept. 1.
Fantasy Tip: Wright ($4,700, 9.4% of cap) is currently on the disabled list with a strained calf muscle. In seven games (six starts) at the major league level this season, he is 2-3 with a 4.99 ERA and would not be a great starting option in FantasyScore.

Fantasy Tip: Bundy was once one of the top pitching prospects in baseball but injuries have kept him from reaching his full potential. At this point, he should not be stashed unless you own him in a dynasty or long-term keeper league.
Wed, 02 Sep 2015 17:38:32 -0700
Fantasy Tip: It appears that Hardy ($3,300, 6.6% of cap) may not require a minor league rehab assignment before being activated. He should be stashed only in AL-only seasonal leagues. Paul Janish ($1,800, 3.6% of cap) will continue to see most of the time at shortstop for the O's in his absence but he provides nothing more than salary cap relief.
Wed, 02 Sep 2015 12:42:28 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Gonzalez's ($5,500, 11.0% of cap) MRI results showed only inflammation, so he's hoping to start again this year. However, he'll be a very shaky fantasy commodity if he does return, and he's probably best avoided everywhere.
Wed, 02 Sep 2015 11:55:09 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Ramirez is fading down the stretch for the Rays and is a candidate to be bumped from the rotation, so it's a good matchup for Baltimore hitters. However, the light-hitting Flaherty ($1,800, 3.6% of cap) remains a long shot to do damage for your daily lineups.
Tue, 01 Sep 2015 22:50:32 -0700
Baltimore Orioles SP Chris Tillman allowed seven runs and eight hits over 4 2/3 innings in a loss against the Tampa Bay Rays Tuesday, Sept. 1, against the Tampa Bay Rays. He has lost three straight decisions since going 12 starts without a defeat.
Fantasy Tip: Tillman ($6,400, 12.8% of cap) has hit a rough patch and he should be avoided in FantasyScore until he can officially get back on track.
Tue, 01 Sep 2015 22:49:54 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Gausman ($5,600, 11.2% of cap) isn't worth using in FantasyScore until he gets untracked and starts to produce better results.
Tue, 01 Sep 2015 16:48:49 -0700
Updating previous reports, Baltimore Orioles SP Miguel Gonzalez's (shoulder, elbow) MRI exam looked "pretty good," and he's only dealing with shoulder and elbow inflammation, according to a team official.
Fantasy Tip: Even though his injury is minor, Gonzalez ($5,500, 11.0% of cap) could be forced to miss several starts, meaning he won't be very useful to fantasy owners in any format for the season's final month.
