Fantasy Tip: Pedroia ($3,600, 7.2% of cap) could return here soon, but the team may go easy on him when he comes back. It's worth keeping an eye on this situation.
Sun, 30 Aug 2015 13:47:57 -0700
Fantasy Tip: This is a nice honor for Ortiz ($5,100, 10.2% of cap), who is hitting .345-7-19 but has a .200 average in the past seven days. Leave Ortiz in your lineup when he faces right-handed pitching, as that's where he does the most damage.

Fantasy Tip: Entering play Sunday, Aug. 30, Machi was 1-0 with a 1.39 ERA and three saves through 46 games this season. He should be grabbed in AL-only and deep mixed leagues if you are desperate for saves.
Sun, 30 Aug 2015 07:52:08 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Make sure to avoid d'Arnaud ($3,300, 6.6% of cap) in all fantasy formats Sunday. Recker ($1,600, 3.2% of cap) is nothing more than a desperation source of cap relief at FantasyScore Sunday, and you should probably aim higher.
Sun, 30 Aug 2015 07:40:46 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Make sure to avoid Cespedes ($5,900, 11.8% of cap) in all fantasy formats Sunday. He has eight home runs and 23 RBI through his 26 games with the Mets. Lagares ($3,400, 6.8% of cap) stands as a potential value play at FantasyScore Sunday, as he has performed extremely well when called upon of late. Lagares has a .327/.340/.571 slash line over his last 50 plate appearances, and he owns the handedness advantage.

Fantasy Tip: Without a designated hitter option in the road series at New York, the Red Sox have swapped in Ortiz ($5,100, 10.2% of cap) at first base for two games. The veteran slugger has been on fire in August and owns a .345/.427/.679 slash line with seven home runs. In fact, Ortiz currently has exactly seven home runs in each of the past three months after hitting just six through April and May. He is a risky FantasyScore play Sunday, though. Shaw ($4,600, 9.2% of cap) will return to regular at-bats next week, and he is worth a look in the majority of seasonal leagues.
Sun, 30 Aug 2015 07:26:05 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Castillo ($4,200, 8.4% of cap) is having a monster second half. He has a .352/.387/.568 slash line with 19 runs, four home runs and 19 RBI over 25 games. He isn't playing every day, though, so his seasonal value is limited as a result. FantasyScore owners will likely want to look elsewhere Sunday, too, as Syndergaard ($7,900, 15.8% of cap) has been stingy at home this seaosn. Bradley ($4,100, 8.2% of cap) has been playing well, but his seasonal value is also capped platooning with Castillo in right field.
Sun, 30 Aug 2015 07:19:45 -0700
Boston Red Sox OF Hanley Ramirez (shoulder) is not in the starting lineup Sunday, Aug. 30. OF Alejandro De Aza is playing left field and batting eighth against New York Mets SP Noah Syndergaard Sunday.
Fantasy Tip: Ramirez ($4,800, 9.6% of cap) has been out since Wednesday, Aug. 26, as he seems to be battling a continuous string of injuries. Seasonal owners will want to remain patient. The injury isn't expected to be serious. Typically, De Aza ($3,400, 6.8% of cap) is a worthy FantasyScore flier, but Snydergaard ($7,900, 15.8% of cap) owns a sub-2.00 ERA at Citi Field, so you should be able to find better value in daily contests Sunday.
Sat, 29 Aug 2015 18:32:06 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Kelly ($6,100, 12.2% of cap) won all six of his starts this month, and he has allowed two runs or less in five straight outings. He is worth a look as a cheap starting option at FantasyScore right now.

Boston Red Sox C Ryan Hanigan (calf) has been scratched from the lineup against the New York Mets Saturday, Aug. 29, because of tightness in his calf. C Blake Swihart will start behind the plate and bat sixth.
Fantasy Tip: Remove Hanigan ($3,100, 6.2% of cap) from all fantasy lineups. Swihart ($2,800, 5.6% of cap) is batting .365 with a home run and nine RBIs during the month of August and is a decent value option in FantasyScore this afternoon.
Sat, 29 Aug 2015 10:57:00 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Hanigan ($3,100, 6.2% of cap) is batting .310 with a home run and three RBIs in 42 at-bats this month and should be considered if you need moderate cap relief in FantasyScore this afternoon.
Sat, 29 Aug 2015 10:39:55 -0700
Fantasy Tip: With the Red Sox playing an interleague game in a National League stadium, Ortiz ($5,100, 10.2% of cap) finds himself riding the pine Saturday. After a hot start to the month of August, Shaw ($4,600, 9.2% of cap) is just 2-for-23 over the past week and shouldn't be used in FantasyScore cleanup.
Sat, 29 Aug 2015 10:37:39 -0700
Boston Red Sox OF Alejandro De Aza will start in left field and bat eighth against New York Mets SP Jacob deGrom Saturday, Aug. 29. OF Jackie Bradley Jr., who started in left field Friday, will bat seventh and play right field Saturday.
Fantasy Tip: OF Rusney Castillo ($4,200, 8.4% of cap) is not in the starting lineup Saturday, so he should be removed from all daily fantasy lineups. Bradley ($4,100, 8.2% of cap) is finally starting to live up to his potential, hitting .338 with five home runs and 22 RBIs this month, while De Aza ($3,400, 6.8% of cap) is batting .296 through 27 August at-bats.

Boston Red Sox 1B David Ortiz (heel) left his team's game against the New York Mets on Friday, Aug. 28, with left heel tightness in the eighth inning. Manager Torey Lovullo said they would reevaluate Ortiz before Saturday's game.
Fantasy Tip: Ortiz ($5,100, 10.2% of cap) could be a day-to-day proposition, meaning you will have to pay attention to the starting lineup when unveiled. It may be best to sit Ortiz for a day or two, because heel tightness can affect bat swings and running around the bases.
Sat, 29 Aug 2015 00:17:57 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Swihart ($2,800, 5.6% of cap) has had a rocky rookie season, as he got hurt just after earning the starting job back in the spring when Ryan Hanigan went down. He's had some decent games as of late, and this low price suggests he might be a solid FantasyScore option.
