Fantasy Tip: Hendricks ($3,500, 7.0% of cap) has been a bit inconsistent over his last few starts but has one run or fewer in three of his last four starts. Hendricks is scheduled to make his next start against the Miami Marlins and could be a cheaper option for owners on FantasyScore to consider.

Fantasy Tip: Baez is hitting .311 (28-for-90) with five home runs and 17 RBI at Class AAA Iowa this year after a late start. He could be recalled later this summer or fall, depending on how playing time shakes out with Addison Russell at the major league level. Continue stashing Baez for now in deep mixed and NL-only leagues.

Fantasy Tip: Bryant ($4,400, 8.8% of cap) is starting to live up to the rookie hype after a slow start to his major league career. However, he may struggle to return a profit today against Washington Nationals starter Jordan Zimmermann, who is holding righty hitters to a slash line of .224/.259/.252 in 2015.

Fantasy Tip: Montero ($3,400, 6.8% of cap) should return to the lineup in the near future. Ross ($1,600, 3.2% of cap) is only hitting .182 this season and has not recorded an RBI since April 24, so owners on FantasyScore probably should avoid using him.

Fantasy Tip: Russell ($2,200, 4.4% of cap) is receiving the day off and should be removed from all fantasy lineups. Herrera ($1,700, 3.4% of cap) is not much more than a low-priced flier in FantasyScore.

Fantasy Tip: Strop hasn't allowed a run in three and two-third innings over his last four appearances. Hector Rondon has blown two of his last three save opportunities, and NL-only owners should be adding Strop just in case the Cubs make a change in the ninth inning.
Sat, 23 May 2015 22:39:44 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Rizzo ($5,900, 11.8% of cap) is hitting .300 in his last 10 at-bats after a mini-slump of 1-for-13 in his prior four games. Rizzo is finding his stroke against the Diamondbacks and should be a fine play in FantasyScore Sunday, May 24.
Sat, 23 May 2015 15:37:00 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Russell ($3,200, 6.4% of cap) went 3-for-10 in his last two games, but he finds himself batting behind pitcher Jake Arrieta Saturday. While Russell's play has been improving of late, his position in the batting order drastically reduces his value on FantasyScore.

Fantasy Tip: During the stretch, Fowler ($3,400, 6.8% of cap) has 15 runs, three home runs, six RBI and two stolen bases with a .304/.431/.609 slash line. He is thriving setting the table for the powerful Chicago lineup, and he is a threat to lead the National League in runs scored. He presents a huge profit opportunity for FantasyScore players with his current cap hit very affordable. Fowler should be owned in all seasonal formats, too.

Chicago Cubs 3B Kris Bryant hit a home run in the first inning against the San Diego Padres Thursday, May 21, extending his hitting streak to 10 games and giving him five home runs in his last 39 at-bats.
Fantasy Tip: It took a while for Bryant ($4,400, 8.8% of cap) to find his power stroke, but he showing his immense potential in a big way lately. The rookie could run hot and cold throughout the year, but he is a great option at FantasyScore while he is rolling.

Fantasy Tip: Wada was excellent in his first outing after returning from a groin strain, and all it will take are a couple longer outings to straighten Wada out. Keep an eye on his progress before inserting him in your lineup.

Fantasy Tip: Almonte ($1,700, 3.4% of cap) and Venable ($2,500, 5.0% of cap) are effectively in a platoon situation in center field with Wil Myers (wrist) on the DL. Venable offers more speed and power upside as a sleeper play at FantasyScore.
Tue, 19 May 2015 15:21:51 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Bryant ($4,400, 8.8% of cap) is back in the lineup Tuesday after leaving Sunday with an illness. Bryant has really turned it up a notch with the bat in May, and he continues to get on base at a rapid pace. He's never really a bad option at FantasyScore, but against James Shields, the San Diego Padres' ace, Bryant could struggle to return value. Bryant had a rough go of it against Shields in his major league debut last month.
Tue, 19 May 2015 10:12:20 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Baez still has plenty of work to do to prove that he deserves another call-up to the major leagues, and the Cubs currently have another top prospect playing the keystone in Addison Russell ($3,200, 6.4% of cap). Baez is still worth stashing in deep mixed, keeper and NL-only leagues, but just know that it might not be until much later this summer or September before he's back in the bigs.
Mon, 18 May 2015 17:41:42 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Lake will serve as an option off the Cubs bench on most days, but he could draw the occasional start against left-handed pitchers. Lake has a career batting average of .286 against lefties in 174 plate appearances. Lake will be a nice, cheap FantasyScore option for those rare starts.
