Stewart-Haas Racing driver Tony Stewart (leg) returned to Oskaloosa, Iowa Monday, Aug. 4, to watch the very sprint car race that he was severely injured competing in one year ago. He even made a point to go to the place on the half-mile dirt track where his car landed and paramedics responded to him after he suffered a broken right tibia and fibula in the crash.
Fantasy Tip: Stewart will be in Iowa for most of the week before heading to Watkins Glen for the second road course race of the Sprint Cup Series season. He has a good chance to pick up his first win of the season, and to clinch a spot in the Chase for the Sprint Cup. He leads all active drivers with five wins at The Glen.

Stewart-Haas Racing driver Kevin Harvick has made 13 career starts at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, winning once with four Top 5s, seven Top 10s and 12 Top 20 finishes. His Average Finish Position for 10.92 is fourth among all active drivers.

Stewart-Haas Racing driver Tony Stewart tops all active drivers at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway with a 7.93 Average Finish Position. In 15 career starts he has two wins, seven Top 5s, 11 Top 10s and 14 Top 20 finishes. The worst Stewart has ever finishes at Indianapolis is 23rd.
Fantasy Tip: Stewart is desperate for a victory to clinch a spot in the Chase for the Sprint Cup Series championship. Stewart is a solid fantasy selection, especially in leagues which restrict number of times you can use a driver.

Stewart-Haas Racing driver Kurt Busch competed in the Indianapolis 500 in the IndyCar Series in May. He was sixth in that race, but hasn't finished in the Top 10 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in the Sprint Cup Series since 2003. "I have a greater appreciation for the speedway, and I hope the respect I show it this weekend will help me bounce up on some of my results here at the track," Busch said Friday, July 25. "It's been tough in a stock car here for me."

A return to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway gives Stewart-Haas Racing driver Tony Stewart a chance at his third Brickyard 400 win, and a spot in the Chase for the Sprint Cup. "We still have two shots at getting in the Chase, obviously, one being a win and the other being getting in there because of the points position," Stewart said Monday, July 21.

Fantasy Tip: It is Stewart's best starting position since he was on the pole at Texas April 6. Stewart has three career wins at NHMS in 29 starts, and he has 14 Top 5 finishes with an Average Finish Position of 11.9. He is a good looking fantasy option on the flat track this weekend.

Stewart-Haas Racing driver Kurt Busch posted the second fastest lap time in practice Saturday, June 7, at Pocono Raceway at 175.545 mph, while teammate and owner Tony Stewart was fourth-fastest at 175.370 mph. Even Danica Patrick was fast, posting the 11th-fastest lap speed at 174.206 mph.
Fantasy Tip: The SHR cars looked fast Saturday, and might be each be fantastic fantasy options. Harvick has never won at Pocono in his career, but he does have tremendous 14.1 Average Finish Position in 26 career starts at the Tricky Triangle. Busch has two wins at Long Pond, and he has managed 16 Top 20 finishes in 25 career starts.

Stewart-Haas Racing driver Kevin Harvick led both practice sessions Saturday, June 7, at Pocono Raceway. He posted a fast lap of 175.606 mph to lead the way. In the final practice, Harvick had a transmission oil leak which caused some concern and forced the team to change the transmission. However, changing transmissions will not force him to the back of the field, and he will start on Row 2 in the fourth position Sunday, June 8.

Stewart-Haas Racing driver Kevin Harvick was second in the first session of practice Saturday, May 31, at Dover International Speedway, turning a lap of 159.341 mph. He will go off eighth in the FedEx 400 benefiting Autism Speaks Sunday, June 1.
Fantasy Tip: Harvick has been consistently turning in strong efforts, and he hopes to break back into Victory Lane after a series of near-misses lately. However, Dover isn't one of Happy's best tracks, as he has no wins, three Top 5s and an Average Finish of 15.19 in 26 career starts. If you're in a fantasy format which limits the amount of starts you can use a driver, Harvick is best left in the garage this weekend.

Stewart-Haas Racing driver Kurt Busch made it to the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway Sunday, May 25, well in time for the start of the race after running in the 98th annual Indianapolis 500 earlier in the day. He finished sixth at Indy, and was attempting to race 1,100 miles in a single day. He was forced out of the Coca-Cola 600 earlier after blowing an engine on Lap 271 of 400. "Those things happen in motorsports. It was a good battle, though. I was hoping to do 1,100 miles today. I can't let what happened here dampen the mood of what happened up in Indianapolis," Busch said.
