Cleveland Indians SP Josh Tomlin defeated the Detroit Tigers for the third time in as many starts this season on Sunday, June 26, allowing three runs - all on solo homers to DH Victor Martinez (two) and INF/OF Mike Aviles - on six hits over eight innings.
Fantasy Tip: Tomlin has served up more than twice as many home runs (18) as he has allowed walks (eight), which sums up the kind of pitcher he is - pitch to contact and let the hitter make the mistakes. The Texas Tech product is 5-0 with a 2.76 ERA this season on the road, where he will find himself again on Friday when he faces the Toronto Blue Jays. Given his weak strikeout numbers, he's probably not worth the risk in that matchup.

Fantasy Tip: Chisenhall has received most of the starts in right field since Marlon Byrd's suspension and is in the midst of a red-hot five-game stretch at the moment, batting .450 with two triples, a homer and six RBI. He's too streaky to depend on in weekly leagues, but DFS players may want to see if they can catch lightning in a bottle again versus the Atlanta Braves on Monday.

Cleveland Indians 3B Juan Uribe is back in the starting lineup against Detroit Tigers SP Justin Verlander Sunday, June 26, with INF Jose Ramirez playing second base and INF/OF Michael Martinez playing left field. 2B Jason Kipnis (illness) and OF Rajai Davis are receiving the day off.
Fantasy Tip: Uribe is hitting just .196 over the past four weeks and is not a recommended fantasy option this afternoon. Martinez is 6-for-13 (.462) with a home run and two RBI over the past two weeks and can be viewed as a productive source of salary cap relief in DFS.

Fantasy Tip: Lindor has emerged as an all-around fantasy factor at a premier position, and he should have a permanent spot in all fantasy lineups.
Sat, 25 Jun 2016 16:38:20 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Check his status Sunday because he's obviously a daily consideration in DFS. Jose Ramirez is a regular utility player anyway, and he could start at second with a low-end play consideration.

Cleveland Indians SP Carlos Carrasco was dominant against the Detroit Tigers on Saturday, June 25, allowing only four hits and a walk while striking out seven en route to his third career shutout and seventh career complete game.
Fantasy Tip: This was easily the best performance of the season from Carrasco, who never faced more than four batters in an inning. Cameron Maybin and Jose Iglesias each got to him for doubles, but that was the best Detroit could do. After firing a season-high 117 pitches in this outing, however, he could be in line for a poor start Thursday on the road against the Toronto Blue Jays.

Cleveland Indians 3B Juan Uribe is not in the starting lineup against Detroit Tigers SP Anibal Sanchez Saturday, June 25. INF/OF Jose Ramirez will bat fifth and play the hot corner, OF Tyler Naquin will bat eighth and play center field and OF Rajai Davis will bat ninth and play left field. In addition, C Yan Gomes will start behind the plate and bat seventh.
Fantasy Tip: Naquin is batting .318 with five home runs and 12 RBI in 44 at-bats this month and merits serious consideration for daily fantasy lineups today, while Ramirez and Davis are also batting over .300 during June. Gomes' overall numbers for 2016 remain horrendous, although he is 7-for-14 in his career versus Sanchez and is 6-for-16 at the plate this week, making this a very favorable matchup for him in DFS.

Fantasy Tip: Kipnis extended his hitting streak to seven games and is batting .268 with nine home runs and 41 RBI through 70 games this season. He should be viewed as a viable option at the keystone position in all fantasy formats.

Fantasy Tip: Salazar struggled with his control early on and has walked 15 batters in four starts this month but managed to hold on for the win. He has a favorable matchup for his next outing versus the Atlanta Braves Wednesday, June 29.
Fri, 24 Jun 2016 14:22:44 -0700
Cleveland Indians C Yan Gomes (back) is out of the lineup for the second straight day because he had a cyst in his lower back drained. He will be available to pinch hit Friday, June 24, and should be in the lineup Saturday, June 25.
Fantasy Tip: Owners should keep an eye on the situation to see if Gomes will return Saturday or if he will need more time. Chris Gimenez is starting at catcher Friday but is not a strong fantasy option.

Cleveland Indians OF Tyler Naquin is not in the starting lineup against Detroit Tigers SP Jordan Zimmermann Friday, June 24. OF Rajai Davis will start in center field. INF Jose Ramirez will start in left field, while 3B Juan Uribe will start at third base and is batting sixth.
Fantasy Tip: Uribe has played well over the last seven days with a .333 average, four home runs and seven RBI. He could be a sleeper option of owners in daily fantasy leagues.
Fri, 24 Jun 2016 13:42:41 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Gimenez has two hits in his last three games but is hitting only .111 so far this month. Owners in most leagues should be able to find better players to use.
Wed, 22 Jun 2016 19:50:44 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Kipnis isn't piling up the hits, but he has five RBIs during the six-game run. He remains a must-start in most fantasy formats.
Wed, 22 Jun 2016 19:45:01 -0700
Cleveland Indians 1B Carlos Santana went 2-for-3 with a double, walk, two runs scored and two RBIs while serving as the leadoff hitter and designated hitter Wednesday, June 22, against the Tampa Bay Rays.
Fantasy Tip: Santana wrapped up the homestand with a double, two homers and five RBIs in six games, and he has six clouts with 13 RBIs in the month of June. After a dismal start, he is putting up more extra-base hits. However, his batting average still leaves something to be desired for fantasy owners in rotisserie formats.
Wed, 22 Jun 2016 19:44:18 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Brantley is a key to the success of the Indians down the stretch, and he is a must-start fantasy option in most formats when he is healthy.
