Fantasy Tip: Fantasy owners had to take the good with the bad Monday, as the hit and RBIs were nice, but the whiffs hurt the bottom line. He is up to 65 RBIs and it isn't even the All-Star break yet. He has hits in 10 straight games.

Fantasy Tip: Barnes has a pair of three-hit games over the past three outings, and he is worth using in NL-only fantasy leagues and DFS as a salary saver option while hot.

Colorado Rockies SP Jon Gray allowed four earned runs, five hits and no walks with eight strikeouts over seven innings in a win Monday, June 27, against the Toronto Blue Jays. He threw 67 of his 101 pitches for strikes.
Fantasy Tip: Gray has emerged as a fairly dependable fantasy option in NL-only leagues and deeper mixed formats and DFS play, lasting at least six innings in six of the past seven outings.

Fantasy Tip: CarGo has three straight multi-hit games with two homers and seven RBIs over his past two outings. He has turned up the intensity in the month of June with eight doubles, seven homers, 24 RBIs and a 1.000-plus OPS. He is a must-start fantasy option in DFS regardless of price.

Colorado Rockies SS Trevor Story (finger) and 2B DJ LeMahieu (knee) both will avoid the disabled list after tests showed that they both did not have breaks or tears. LeMahieu said he felt "a lot better today" and is expected to return Tuesday, June 28.
Fantasy Tip: Story hit his 19th home run of the season Sunday before getting injured, and he has been one of the more productive fantasy shortstops this season. LeMahieu leads the Rockies with a .327 average, and he also has 20-steal potential. Return both players to lineups in all formats once they're back in the lineup, which will likely come Tuesday.

Colorado Rockies RP Jake McGee (knee) will make a rehab outing for Class A Modesto Tuesday, June 28, and he'll likely return from the disabled list Saturday, July 2. McGee said his arm "feels fresh" after throwing a 25-pitch side session Monday, June 27. McGee will pitch again for Modesto Thursday, June 30. The Rockies will wait to decide if McGee will return to the closer role. RP Carlos Estevez has filled in with McGee injured and has gone 4-for-6 in save opportunities.
Fantasy Tip: McGee was 14-for-17 in save chances for the Rockies this year, and he blew a save against the Padres when suffered his knee injury. He's probably Colorado's best option, but the Rockies could go with a committee in the ninth when McGee returns. Regardless, McGee should've been stashed in all fantasy leagues while he's been on the DL. Stay tuned.

Colorado Rockies SS Trevor Story (finger) and 2B DJ LeMahieu (knee) are both out of the starting lineup Monday, June 27. SS Cristhian Adames is starting at the 6 and hitting second, while 2B Daniel Descalso starts at second base and is batting sixth against Toronto Blue Jays SP Marco Estrada.
Fantasy Tip: Both Story and LeMahieu are dinged up right now, but both of their injuries aren't serious and shouldn't keep them out much longer. Get them both back into your lineups whenever they return. Adames and Descalso are both desperation daily picks this evening, with Adames being slightly more attractive because of his placement near the top of the order.

Fantasy Tip: Story avoided a major injury, and at worst, he should miss just a game or two.
Sun, 26 Jun 2016 18:36:03 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Stay tuned for updates on LeMahieu's status. Trevor Story left the same game with a hand injury, so Colorado could have some decisions to make with its middle infield.

Colorado Rockies SS Trevor Story (hand) will have an X-ray on his hand after being hit by a pitch in the ninth inning against the Arizona Diamondbacks Sunday, June 26, and manager Walt Weiss said he is hoping Story doesn't have any broken bones.
Fantasy Tip: Stay tuned for updates on Story's condition. Cristhian Adames would likely start if Story misses time, but he doesn't offer much fantasy appeal.

Colorado Rockies 1B Mark Reynolds is in the lineup Sunday, June 26, against Arizona Diamondbacks SP Patrick Corbin and will hit seventh. OF Ryan Raburn is in left and will bat sixth, while C Nick Hundley resumes his duties behind the plate after a rest day and will hit eighth.
Fantasy Tip: Reynolds, who drew a walk and scored a run as a pinch hitter in Saturday's victory, has hits in each of his last five starts (8-for-23) and homered three times over that stretch. However, he's a weak bet against left-handers this season (.260, no homers and six RBI in 73 at-bats). Raburn has always performed well against southpaws, but there are better options during today's full slate of games. Hundley is riding a five-game hitting streak and a serviceable option in all formats.

Colorado Rockies 2B DJ LeMahieu went 2-for-4 with a home run, three RBI, two runs scored and a walk in an 11-6 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks Saturday, June 25, and he has five multi-hit efforts in his last seven games, including three straight.
Fantasy Tip: Hitting near the top of Colorado's lineup, LeMahieu should remain a strong source of runs all year. Don't hesitate to use him in DFS formats while he is swinging a hot bat.

Fantasy Tip: Wolters' is a defensive-minded catcher with little pop, so there is no need to rush out to add him after his career day at the plate.

Fantasy Tip: Germen likely closed things out after Colorado added four runs in the bottom of the eighth, but Carlos Estevez blew his latest save chance, so Germen could be worth keeping an eye on. For now, Estevez is the player to own until Jake McGee returns.

Colorado Rockies OF Carlos Gonzalez and SS Trevor Story are back in the starting lineup against Arizona Diamondbacks SP Shelby Miller Saturday, June 25. In addition, INF Daniel Descalso will bat sixth and play first base, while C Tony Wolters starts behind the plate and bats eighth. 1B Mark Reynolds and C Nick Hundley are receiving the day off.
Fantasy Tip: Gonzalez is batting .317 with five homers and 17 RBI through 79 June at-bats, while Story is hitting .282 with four homers and 13 RBI this month. Both players should be viewed as viable fantasy options this afternoon. Wolters is hitless in his last 12 at-bats and should be avoided in all formats, while Descalso is nothing more than an inexpensive flier option.
