Fantasy Tip: Tony Wolters hit a two-run double last night, but he has really struggled after a solid showing in his first few games. He figures to see increased time at least the next few days. He might be worth a stream in good matchups at Coors Field.

Fantasy Tip: He has a .309-12-28 line on the season, and it's scary to think that he's just 25 years old. Arenado is a daily consideration in DFS for many days to come.

Fantasy Tip: De La Rosa is a fringe NL-only starter to have at this stage.

Fantasy Tip: Motte isn't worth owning right now, but he could enter the closing equation if Jake McGee falters. McGee has a 5.59 ERA, but five of his six earned runs this season came in one outing.

Colorado Rockies SS Jose Reyes' impending suspension will be known shortly. Commissioner Rob Manfred said he expects to make a decision "soon" and that he's just waiting for one last piece of information from the union.
Fantasy Tip: No matter how long the suspension is, Reyes' days of relevance in fantasy baseball already appear over, as Trevor Story has absolutely taken off at shortstop for the Rockies. The only way the former NL batting champion could contribute regularly to fantasy teams again is if he were to resurface elsewhere, which seems highly unlikely to happen at some point this season. If you took the risk of selecting him on draft day, it's looking like a wasted pick.

Colorado Rockies SS Brendan Rogers, Colorado's No. 1 prospect, is hitting .364/.440/.636 for Class A Asheville this year and has reached base safely in 22 of 23 games.
Fantasy Tip: Rogers, just 19, is obviously at least a few years from showing his face in the big leagues, especially the way Trevor Story has developed in his first taste of MLB action. Like Story, Rogers also boasts raw power and great bat speed, and he also has good plate discipline. For now, he's just a guy to watch in keeper and dynasty formats.

Colorado Rockies SP Tyler Chatwood lowered his ERA on the year to 2.15 with eight shutout innings against the San Diego Padres Wednesday, May 4, and opponents are hitting .239 off of him. He's throwing his changeup more often to ease the stress on his elbow, which has twice been reconstructed with Tommy John surgery.
Fantasy Tip: Chatwood essentially missed two years because of his second elbow reconstruction, so it's hard to say how durable he'll be for the Rockies throughout the year. The early returns are very promising, though, and he should be owned in deep mixed and NL-only leagues at this point. Just be careful with half of his starts coming at hitter-friendly Coors Field.

Colorado Rockies SP Tyler Chatwood was phenomenal in his start Wednesday, May 4, against the San Diego Padres. He tossed eight shutout innings of three-hit ball, striking out seven and walking only one, en route to picking up the victory.
Fantasy Tip: Although it can be tough trusting a starting pitcher from the Rockies regularly, it might be time to start taking Chatwood seriously. The 26-year-old is now 4-2 with a dazzling 2.15 ERA, and he's allowed one run or less in four of his six starts. For those that think this might be a fluke, also consider that before going down with Tommy John surgery, Chatwood actually posted respectable numbers in his last full season with the club back in 2013.

Colorado Rockies OF Gerardo Parra, 2B DJ LeMahieu and C Nick Hundley are out of the lineup Wednesday, May 4. OF Ryan Raburn is hitting sixth, 2B Cristhian Adames is hitting ninth and C Tony Wolters hits seventh.
Fantasy Tip: Raburn has an impressive .361-4-8 line in 36 at-bats. He's certainly worth the low-end flyer against Cesar Vargas. Adames is hitting .148 and isn't worth the stream in Petco Park. Wolters hasn't hit much since his first couple of games and isn't worth the start.

Fantasy Tip: Gray now has two 10-strikeout games out of his three starts. His ERA is just a ballooned 7.98 on the season. He's worth stashing to see if he can harness that ERA.

Fantasy Tip: Arenado currently leads the majors in homers and RBI, and he is more than justifying his status as a first-round pick in fantasy drafts.

Colorado Rockies 1B Mark Reynolds and C Nick Hundley are not in the starting lineup against Arizona Diamondbacks SP Shelby Miller Sunday, May 1. 1B Ben Paulsen will start at first base and is batting seventh, while C Tony Wolters will start at catcher and is batting eighth.
Fantasy Tip: Paulsen has been a bit inconsistent at the plate recently but is still hitting .326 this season and could be a sleeper option in daily fantasy leagues. Wolters has struggled in his limited playing time this season and should be avoided in most leagues.
Sun, 01 May 2016 05:14:25 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Settle for the strikeouts (league-leading 37) and underwhelming batting average (.261) because Story is pounding the counting stats. Through 22 games, the rookie has 19 runs, 10 home runs and 20 RBI. Playing half his games at hitter-friendly Coors Field is a nice safety net to help avoid any prolonged slumps, too.
Sat, 30 Apr 2016 05:58:32 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Hundley has gone 5-for-14 with one home run and three RBI since returning from the disabled list. Hundley should be a starting option in two-catcher leagues and could also be used in some deeper mixed leagues.
Sat, 30 Apr 2016 05:53:05 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Arenado is one of the best third baseman in the league and has been producing at the plate. Arenado should be an everyday starting option for fantasy owners.
