Fantasy Tip: Stanton hit his first home run in seven games Tuesday but still has only three games during that span. Stanton should still be in starting lineups because of his power potential, but owners in daily fantasy leagues may want to look at other options.

Fantasy Tip: Prado's high BABIP means his average will surely come down over the course of the season, but the veteran third baseman is a career .293 hitter. There's almost no power to speak of, but if you need help in the average department, he's your guy. He's also tremendously valuable as an underrated player in on-base percentage leagues.

Fantasy Tip: Bour has been all or nothing of late with a .235-6-11 line this month. He's a midrange option against Jake Odorizzi.

Fantasy Tip: Ichiro is drawing his fourth consecutive start, and he is 12-for-16 (.750) the last week. Twenty-two of his 25 hits have been singles this year, but that kind of production isn't something you can ignore. He's a lower-middle option against Jake Odorizzi today.

Fantasy Tip: Ozuna is hitting close to .400 so far this month and has 10 multi-hit games during that span. Ozuna should be a starting option in all leagues as long as he is on this hot streak.

Fantasy Tip: Suzuki has recorded 10 hits in his last three games and should continue to be in the starting lineup as long as Christian Yelich is sidelined. Suzuki should be an attractive starting option in daily fantasy leagues but may not be a long-term option in most leagues.

Miami Marlins 1B Justin Bour and 2B Derek Dietrich are not in the starting lineup against Tampa Bay Rays left-handed SP Matt Moore Monday, May 23. 1B Chris Johnson is at first base and is hitting sixth, while SS Miguel Rojas starts at the keystone and is batting seventh.
Fantasy Tip: Johnson is batting .382 (21-for-55) and has been successful against lefties, but he's also not much of a threat to leave the yard. Regardless, he could be considered a deep sleeper tonight. Rojas is a light-hitting middle infielder that makes for a desperation play.

Fantasy Tip: Yelich is day-to-day, and you'll want to return him immediately to your starting lineups when he comes back. Suzuki continues to hit at 42 years old, although his power is extremely limited. Against the lefty, he's not the most attractive daily pick.

Fantasy Tip: Yelich said his back feels "so-so", and his status is day-to-day. This will impact daily leagues more than anything else for now, and Yelich should be benched until his back is improved and he is in the starting lineup. For now, Ichiro Suzuki is the direct beneficiary of Yelich's injury.

Miami Marlins SP Adam Conley allowed six runs and walked seven, three intentionally, in 5 1/3 innings Sunday, May 22, in an 8-2 loss to the Washington Nationals. His ERA in four career starts against Washington rose to 8.50.
Fantasy Tip: This is an example of how a matchup can help you in fantasy leagues. On weeks where Conley has a start against the Nationals, the best thing to do is avoid starting him in daily or annual leagues. Conley has three wins since April 29 and is largely worth playing against other teams.

Miami Marlins 1B Justin Bour hit his second home run in as many days and his ninth of the season Sunday, May 22, in an 8-2 loss to the Washington Nationals. Bour has a .254-9-23 line through 38 games this year.
Fantasy Tip: Bour had 23 homers in 129 games last season, so he is already on track to surpass last year's strong numbers. Bour also has a .516 slugging percentage. He appears to have taken the home run mantle up from Giancarlo Stanton for the time being. Bour is useful in all fantasy formats.

Fantasy Tip: With a .161 average in 31 at-bats this season, Mathis is not a recommended fantasy option regardless of who is on the mound. Look elsewhere for inexpensive catching options this afternoon.
Sun, 22 May 2016 01:09:16 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Stanton was .265-27-67 last season and had 95 strikeouts in 74 games. Stanton is still worth playing because he could break out of that slump and go on a tear at any time. Still, it is very frustrating because Stanton could have problems at the plate that are difficult to overcome.

Fantasy Tip: If Christian Yelich's back spasms continue to plague him, Suzuki could see more playing time and have more value in deeper leagues. As it is, the only leagues where Suzuki has regular value are daily leagues, because you have the luxury of finding out Suzuki will start and can pick him up accordingly. Suzuki has just 51 at-bats this year, and it is for that reason he is not recommended in overall leagues.
Sun, 22 May 2016 01:00:01 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Fernandez won for the sixth time in eight decisions. Certain high-profile hitters like Giancarlo Stanton may be struggling, but Fernandez is performing at a very high level. Right now, Fernandez is worth plugging in your fantasy roster and starting.
