Fantasy Tip: Singleton ($3,200, 6.4% of cap) is a feast-or-famine hitter. Over 370 plate appearances in his career, he has 13 home runs and a .168/.286/.335 slash line. FantasyScore players should view him as a high-risk, high-reward option, and it isn't out of the question to aim higher at first base.

Houston Astros SS Carlos Correa is not in the starting lineup Wednesday, July 1. SS Marwin Gonzalez is starting at shortstop and batting eighth against Kansas City Royals SP Edinson Volquez Wednesday.
Fantasy Tip: Correa ($5,100, 10.2% of cap) has been as advertised with 13 runs, five home runs, 15 RBI, four stolen bases and a .287/.309/.543 slash line over his first 22 games. He should be owned in all fantasy formats, and he is an excellent FantasyScore option in favorable matchups. Gonzalez ($2,200, 4.4% of cap) projects as nothing more than a low-priced flier for daily contests Wednesday.

Houston Astros SP Scott Feldman (knee) threw 45 pitches in a simulated game Tuesday, June 30, and manager A.J. Hinch said he looked good. Feldman is scheduled to throw a bullpen session in two days and then he'll likely head out on a minor-league rehab assignment.
Fantasy Tip: It's uncertain when Feldman will return and in what capacity he'll work when he is back. FantasyScore players need not bother with him until his situation becomes clearer.

Fantasy Tip: It's uncertain how much time Marisnick will need at Fresno, but FantasyScore players should avoid him until he can officially return and play without any lingering effects of his injury.

Houston Astros OF Colby Rasmus (arm) missed his fourth straight game Tuesday, June 30, against the Kansas City Royals. Manager A.J. Hinch said he is hopeful Rasmus responds to treatment for a skin infection on his left arm and he can avoid the 15-day disabled list.
Fantasy Tip: Rasmus ($3,100; or 6.2% of cap) should be avoided in FantasyScore until he can officially return and prove his health in a game or two without any setbacks or limitations.

Houston Astros SP Dallas Keuchel allowed seven hits over eight scoreless innings in a win Tuesday, June 30, against the Kansas City Royals to pick up his 10th victory of the season. He did not walk any batters and struck out seven, lowering his ERA back to 2.03.
Fantasy Tip: Keuchel ($9,100; or 18.2% of cap) has worked at least six innings in 28 straight games, longest active streak in the majors. In other words, you get what you pay for in FantasyScore.
Tue, 30 Jun 2015 15:03:12 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Conger ($1,800, 3.6% of cap) should be avoided at FantasyScore, because he has just nine hits in 50 at-bats (.180) against southpaws this season from the right side of the plate.

Houston Astros OF Colby Rasmus (illness) will miss his fourth straight game due to a skin infection. OF George Springer is playing in center field in Rasmus's absence, and OF Domingo Santana is in right.
Fantasy Tip: Rasmus ($3,100, 6.2% of cap) should be shelved until he is back to 100 percent health. Santana ($2,700, 5.4% of cap) has cooled a bit after a hotter June start but is not a bad substitute pickup in FantasyScore with a .250 mark in the past week.

Fantasy Tip: Valbuena ($4,500, 9.0% of cap) is hitting .165-5-11 against left-handed pitchers, which likely merits his sitting down against a lefty. Gonzalez ($2,200, 4.4% of cap) is .263-2-6 against lefties and makes for a better FantasyScore play.

Houston Astros OF Colby Rasmus (illness) missed his third straight game Monday, June 29, against the Kansas City Royals. He is dealing with a skin infection on his left arm caused by an insect bite. Manager A.J. Hinch said Rasmus received intravenous antibiotics to try to eliminate the infection.
Fantasy Tip: Rasmus ($3,100; or 6.2% of cap) remains day to day. Avoid him in FantasyScore until he can officially return and prove his health.

Fantasy Tip: Unfortunately for Lowrie ($3,300, 6.6% of cap), the shortstop of the future, Carlos Correa ($5,100, 10.2% of cap), is up in the big leagues and isn't going anywhere. The youngster looks right at home in the majors and is contributing for fantasy owners immediately. Lowrie won't be back until sometime after the All-Star break and is unlikely to have any impact at all for Houston. You can drop him in the majority of formats if you haven't already.

Houston Astros OF Colby Rasmus (illness) is not in the starting lineup against Kansas City Royals SP Joe Blanton Monday, June 29. OF George Springer will start in center field and is batting first, while OF Domingo Santana will start in right field and is batting eighth in the lineup.
Fantasy Tip: Owners should monitor the situation to see when Rasmus ($3,100, 6.2% of cap) will be able to return to the lineup. Santana ($2,700, 5.4% of cap) has recorded at least one hit in four of his last five games has picked up six RBI this month. Santana could be a cheap outfield option, but owners on FantasyScore should be able to find a better option.

Houston Astros C Evan Gattis is not in the starting lineup against Kansas City Royals SP Joe Blanton Monday, June 29. 1B Jon Singleton will serve as the designated hitter and is batting sixth in the lineup.
Fantasy Tip: Gattis ($4,700, 9.4% of cap) likely is receiving the day off and should return soon. Singleton ($2,900, 5.8% of cap) has gone 0-for-4 since being called up and is not a great option on FantasyScore at this point.
