Fantasy Tip: Conger ($2,800, 5.6% of cap) has decent power upside for a cheap price, but with a .220 batting average, he is a shot-in-the-dark play at FantasyScore.
Fri, 04 Sep 2015 21:32:45 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Springer ($4,600, 9.2% of cap) has been sidelined since July 2, so you may want to give him a game or two to shake off the rust before using him at FantasyScore.

Fantasy Tip: There's no reason not to return Springer ($4,600, 9.2% of cap) to your starting lineups in all leagues immediately. He has hit .321 (44-for-137) with seven of his 13 home runs this year, so he's clearly most comfortable atop the order. Run with him tonight as a strong daily play against a struggling hurler.

Fantasy Tip: Expect Springer ($4,600, 9.2% of cap) to immediately be back in Houston's starting lineup tonight, and you should follow suit in all fantasy formats. He's not a bad pick tonight at FantasyScore, either, facing off against the Minnesota Twins and struggling starter Mike Pelfrey.

Fantasy Tip: Feldman ($5,700, 11.4% of cap) strung together a nice run in August with a 1.33 ERA over four starts, and he holds value in deeper seasonal leagues. Continue to monitor the situation and check back for an official word on what is next for the hurler.

Fantasy Tip: Miller ($3,600, 7.2% of cap) looks to be the Mariners go-to guy in center field, so he'll hold his low-end fantasy value in deep seasonal formats. For the year, the converted shortstop owns a .249/.325/.389 slash line with 38 runs, nine home runs, 37 RBI and 12 stolen bases. O'Malley was having a nice season in the minors, so he could be worth a speculative add in AL-only and cavernous mixed leagues, but you'll want to take a wait-and-see approach in daily formats.
Wed, 02 Sep 2015 15:04:26 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Tucker is back with the Astros after a brief minor league stint, but his seasonal value is limited because George Springer ($4,600, 9.2% of cap) projects to enter the fold sooner than later. Tucker is a risky play in daily contests Wednesday, too.
Wed, 02 Sep 2015 14:38:02 -0700
Fantasy Tip: The move is likely an attempt to kick-start Lowrie's ($3,800, 7.6%% of cap) bat, as he has a .180/.260/.315 slash line since returning from the disabled list Thursday, July 30. He is a viable budget play at FantasyScore Wednesday, but you can likely find more upside at the position and better value around his price range.

Houston Astros OF George Springer (wrist) is currently on a rehab assignment with Class AA Corpus Christi, but he could be cleared to be activated from the disabled list Friday, Sept. 4, if he doesn't suffer any setbacks.
Fantasy Tip: Get ready to return Springer ($4,600, 9.2% of cap) to all of your starting lineups if he's activated this weekend. He should continue to be a solid starting weapon on FantasyScore, too, but you may prefer to give him some time to ease back into the lineup first.

Houston Astros SP Scott Feldman (shoulder) left the game with right shoulder pain in his start Tuesday, Sept. 1, after walking five hitters and allowing three runs in just 2 2/3 innings against the Seattle Mariners. He will undergo an MRI exam Wednesday, Sept. 2. Feldman was replaced in the game by SP Vincent Velasquez.
Fantasy Tip: Keep an eye on Feldman ($5,700, 11.4% of cap). He was having a fine August after returning from the DL, and he deserves to be owned in deeper leagues if his injury isn't serious. If he's forced to miss a start or two or go back on the DL, Velasquez ($5,200, 10.4% of cap) could take Feldman's rotation spot.
Tue, 01 Sep 2015 20:10:41 -0700
Fantasy Tip: It's uncertain when Feldman ($5,700, 11.4% of cap) will be able to return. Avoid using him in FantasyScore until he can officially start and prove his health in a full game without any setbacks.
Tue, 01 Sep 2015 14:16:40 -0700
Fantasy Tip: With a .143 average against Elias, Valbuena ($3,200, 6.4% of cap) is taking a seat despite his 22 home runs and decent bat. Lowrie ($3,800, 7.6% of cap) is hitting .100 in the last week, so pass on him as a source of FantasyScore production.
Tue, 01 Sep 2015 14:11:06 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Stassi was called up from Class AAA earlier in the week when C Jason Castro went on the 15-day disabled list. He may be a decent source of low-cost production depending on how much he plays in Castro's absence.

Houston Astros OF George Springer (knee) will play eight or nine innings in a rehab game Tuesday, Sept. 1, and will play again Thursday, Sept. 3, before being re-evaluated, according to manager A.J. Hinch.
Fantasy Tip: Springer ($4,600, 9.2% of cap) should remain owned in all fantasy formats, as he still has enough time to contribute in fantasy leagues and on FantasyScore when he's back from the DL. Both Colby Rasmus ($3,900, 7.8% of cap) and Jake Marisnick ($3,600, 7.2% of cap) could lose valuable playing time and could even form a platoon in the outfield.
Tue, 01 Sep 2015 13:49:10 -0700
Fantasy Tip: With Castro on the DL, Hank Conger ($2,800, 5.6% of cap) is seeing the majority of starts behind the dish. Only hang onto Castro in two-catcher or AL-only leagues. Conger could be a slight offensive upgrade over Castro without as much power, but he's also a very low-end catching option in daily leagues.
