Fantasy Tip: Reed is an intriguing power hitter with tremendous upside and is likely to have peaks and valleys at the dish throughout his rookie campaign. However, if he doesn't begin to show some of his promise soon, a return to the minors could be in store. For now, Reed is worth owning in the majority of fantasy leagues, but it also isn't out of the question to bench him until he turns it on at the plate.

Fantasy Tip: Bregman has a lot of promise and will be someone to watch as he continues getting closer to the major leagues. In Class AA, he registered a delightful .297/.415/.559 line with 14 home runs and 46 RBI. Hernandez has also enjoyed some success this season down at Corpus Christi, but isn't someone to have on the fantasy radar just yet. Owners looking to get an early glimpse at Bregman can watch him in this year's Futures Game during the upcoming All-Star break.

Houston Astros 2B Jose Altuve extended his career high on-base streak to 32 games Wednesday, June 29, against the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. He was a home run short of the cycle in this game, and finished the three-game set with eight hits in 14 at-bats with two RBIs and six runs scored. He has also hit safely in 11 straight games. Manager A.J. Hinch said Altuve might get a few days off during the team's next homestand to rest.
Fantasy Tip: Altuve also swiped his 21st base, while driving in his 46th run of the season. He is such a valuable contributor for fantasy owners and DFS players, as he contributes in so many different categories with a combination of speed and power.

Houston Astros SP Dallas Keuchel allowed three runs - two earned - and six hits with three walks and four strikeouts over six innings in a win Wednesday, June 29, against the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. He threw 63 of his 102 pitches for strikes in the quality start.
Fantasy Tip: Keuchel, last season's Cy Young Award winner in the American League, was able to avoid double-digit losses before the All-Star break, at least for now. He has pieced together three quality starts in a row, and he has four in six June outings. However, his production has been a far cry from his unbelievable 2015 campaign. A bit of a backslide was expected, but his two seasons have been a stark contrast for fantasy owners.

Fantasy Tip: Valbuena doesn't look like a power hitter, but he has some surprising pop. He is a tremendous mid-tier DFS option, and worth starting in all AL-only seasonal leagues and deeper mixed fantasy formats.

Fantasy Tip: Gurriel is likely worth grabbing now in deep keeper/dynasty formats and potentially in signal-universe leagues. However, this is more of a player to watch than add in most cases. Stay tuned for updates, but it would be surprising to see Gurriel make much of a fantasy impact in 2016.

Fantasy Tip: Gonzalez has a .303-2-9 line this month, and he's a sneaky low-end play against Jered Weaver. Marisnick is hitting just .178 this year, and he's not a good DFS option.

Fantasy Tip: Altuve is batting a major-league best .350 after tonight's effort and one of only four players with 20 steals. Furthermore, he's tied for eighth in the majors with 56 runs and has 13 homers and 45 RBI to boot. Simply put, he's does it all at a position where it is difficult sometimes to find players that can perform as well as he does in two or three categories.

Houston Astros SS Carlos Correa celebrated winning the American League Player of the Week last week by going 3-for-4 a three-run home run, a double and an RBI groundout against the Los Angeles Angels on Tuesday, June 28.
Fantasy Tip: Over his last eight games, Correa is 11-for-31 with five doubles, four home runs, 14 RBI and has scored eight times. Despite a surprisingly low .265 average that is certain to rise as the summer progresses, he needs to be in lineups every single day because he is capable of this kind of performance on a fairly regular basis.

Fantasy Tip: The burly Reed has plenty of potential, mainly for his monster power at first base, but he's struggled out of the gates in the majors, going hitless in his 10 at-bats with six K's. Keep your expectations in check with Reed, and he could see more time on the bench in favor of Gonzalez in the near future.

Fantasy Tip: Speculation is Bregman could be given time to play third base before being promoted to the parent club. Luis Valbuena is struggling, although his bat has shown signs of life, and the team could use another boost of minor league seasoning.

Fantasy Tip: Altuve is hitting .389 (14-for-36) with three homers, seven RBIs and seven runs scored during his hitting streak. He is a must-start in DFS regardless of price tag while running hot.
Mon, 27 Jun 2016 23:52:11 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Feldman might be a decent low-end DFS play, as his price tag will be low and allow you to load up on high-priced offensive talent using a high-low strategy. His exposure might not be high, either, making him a nice play.

Houston Astros SP Collin McHugh allowed two earned runs, six hits and three walks over six innings in a no-decision Monday, June 27, against the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. He also struck out three batters in the 83-pitch quality start.
Fantasy Tip: McHugh hasn't won in five June starts, but he has three straight quality starts and appears to finally be on track after a terrible start to his season. He has re-emerged as a must-start in all fantasy formats and DFS play.

Houston Astros SP Lance McCullers (blister) has been scratched from his start Tuesday, June 28, due to the early development of a blister. SP/RP Scott Feldman will make the start in his place opposite the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.
Fantasy Tip: McCullers has already missed the majority of the campaign due to injury, so the team probably wants to be cautious with one of the key cogs in their starting rotation. Although the Angels have the second-fewest home runs in the American League, Feldman isn't an ideal streaming option due to his struggles earlier this season when he was in the rotation.
