Fantasy Tip: Gomez has been borderline useless this month with a .197-0-2 line with two steals. He can be sat out until he hits his stride.

Fantasy Tip: McCullers would need a few rehab starts before he's ready. A good projection is two or three weeks. If he's floating on waivers for some reason, stash him.

Houston Astros OF Preston Tucker and 1B Tyler White are not in the starting lineup Wednesday, April 27. OF Evan Gattis is serving as the designated hitter and is batting fifth, while INF Marwin Gonzalez is starting at first base and batting seventh against Seattle Mariners SP Hisashi Iwakuma.
Fantasy Tip: Gattis is off to a slow start (.222, 8-for-36, no homers) after hernia surgery in the spring, and he's a boom-or-bust candidate for daily lineups. Gonzalez has moderate power, but his fantasy upside is limited Wednesday hitting down in the order in a pitcher's park.

Fantasy Tip: All 15 of Tucker's career home runs have come against right-handed pitchers, so this matchup should catch your attention Tuesday. Consider Tucker a nice buy as a potential daily value pick.

Fantasy Tip: This was a problem for Houston last year, too. They make little contact but can hit the ball out of the park with the best of them, as they rank second in the AL in home runs (27). At least right now, using a middling pitcher with strikeout upside is a nice value play in daily contests.

Fantasy Tip: It was a meteoric start and a quick fall for White. He has struck out 19 times in 52 at-bats the last 15 games. He's a midrange matchup play in DFS.

Fantasy Tip: Fister is 1-3 with a 5.56 ERA, a 1.50 WHIP and 11 K's in 22 2/3 innings. He could be in danger of losing his rotation spot, especially with Lance McCullers (shoulder) not too far from a return. Fister is only worth keeping in AL-only leagues.

Houston Astros OF Preston Tucker and C Jason Castro are not in the starting lineup Monday, April 25. OF Evan Gattis is serving as the designated hitter and batting sixth, while C Erik Kratz is behind the plate and is hitting ninth against Seattle Mariners SP Taijuan Walker.
Fantasy Tip: Gattis is starting to see more of the starts as the DH over Tucker, which limits Tucker's value to cavernous mixed and AL-only leagues. Gattis is hitting only .212 in the early going and hasn't gone deep yet in 32 at-bats, so he's a risky play against the strong Walker Monday night. Kratz should be ignored everywhere.
Sun, 24 Apr 2016 23:12:10 -0700
Fantasy Tip: He's worth holding onto in AL-only leagues, but he has no mixed league appeal with the crowded outfield.
Sun, 24 Apr 2016 22:54:03 -0700
Fantasy Tip: It wasn't all great, as he posted his first two errors of the season. He has back-to-back multi-hit game, and he is humming along with a 1.028 OPS. He remains the fantasy gold standard at second base in most every format and in DFS play.

Houston Astros OF Colby Rasmus belted a game-tying two-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning Sunday, April 24, against the Boston Red Sox and CL Craig Kimbrel. It was his only hit in five at-bats.
Fantasy Tip: Rasmus is up to seven home runs and he has amassed 18 RBIs with a week to play in the month of April. After bouncing around a little early in his career and failing to live up to expectations, he has finally found a home in Houston and he might just be scratching the surface.

Fantasy Tip: Feldman really struggled, throwing just 60 of his 103 pitches for strikes while recording just 13 outs. He is still worth using in AL-only play, deeper mixed formats and DFS, but he should be saved for more favorable matchups against lesser lineups.
Sun, 24 Apr 2016 17:00:48 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Rasmus has just five at-bats against lefties this year, but as well as he has been swinging the bat, you can easily justify leaving him in your lineup despite the matchup.

Fantasy Tip: Hinch indicated Gattis would catch earlier this season, and the plan appears to be ntroducing Gattis to catching slowly and deliberately. No word yet on how this plan will impact Jason Castro owners, although Gattis definitely has the better bat and Castro would likely lose playing time. Be prepared to earn extra lineup flexibility with Gattis as well.

Fantasy Tip: Rasmus hit a career-high 25 homers last year, and he is up to six this season in just 18 games. He usually sits against lefties, but his power upside makes him worth owning in just about every format. Just be prepared to swap him in and out of your lineup depending on the matchup.
