Fantasy Tip: Marisnick ($3,300, 6.6% of cap) will have plenty of space for playing time with George Springer (wrist) out, but monitor his progress before using him on FantasyScore.

Fantasy Tip: Altuve ($5,400, 10.8% of cap) is an everyday option on FantasyScore.

Fantasy Tip: Presley picked up two hits and one RBI in his season debut Friday, July 3, and is back in the lineup. Owners should wait a few games before considering Presley for their lineups.

Fantasy Tip: Castro ($2,600, 5.2% of cap) likely is resting Saturday and should return soon. Conger ($1,800, 3.6% of cap) is hitting .230 in limited playing time this season and owners on FantasyScore should be able to find other options to use.

Fantasy Tip: Carter ($4,600, 9.2% of cap) should return to the lineup in the near future. Singleton ($3,200, 6.4% of cap) drove in three runs in his last game but is hitting .188 since being recalled and is not a great option.
Sat, 04 Jul 2015 09:06:35 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Rasmus ($3,100, 6.2% of cap) has missed the last six games because of a skin infection. He has a solid month of June with a .268 batting average, two home runs and nine RBI. Owners may want to skip Rasmus for the time being since he has missed close to a week and his timing could be off initially.

Fantasy Tip: Altuve ($5,400, 10.8% of cap) has picked up at least one hit in each of his last 11 games and has recorded seven RBI in that span. Altuve should be a nightly starting option for owners on FantasyScore.
Fri, 03 Jul 2015 15:11:17 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Expect Lowrie ($3,300, 6.6% of cap) to enter into some kind of rotation with Luis Valbuena ($4,500, 9.0% of cap) and Carlos Correa ($5,100, 10.2% of cap). However, it is likely Lowrie and Correa receive the majority of playing time down the stretch, with the Astros working Lowrie back into the mix cautiously initially.

Fantasy Tip: Marisnick ($3,300, 6.6% of cap) stands to grab everyday at-bats when he returns with George Springer (wrist) on the disabled list. Marisnick has a power-speed profile, but it has been hindered by his .245 batting average and .283 on-base percentage. There is still lots of upside for the 24-year-old outfielder, though.

Fantasy Tip: Rasmus ($3,100, 6.2% of cap) has missed the last five games but could return soon. He posted a .268 batting average in June and recorded nine RBIs, but owners on FantasyScore may want to see him play in a few games before using him.
Fri, 03 Jul 2015 13:06:10 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Presley hit .308 in the minors this season, and he stands to receive a few starts while George Springer (wrist) is on the disabled list. Domingo Santana ($2,700, 5.4% of cap) could see the larger chunk, though. So Presley is nothing more than a desperation add in AL-only and cavernous mixed seasonal leagues, and he is a low-end source of cap relief for FantasyScore players.
Fri, 03 Jul 2015 12:51:42 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Tucker ($3,400, 6.8% of cap) is batting just .171 with a .465 OPS over his past 12 games, so he isn't in the best current form. Although, he does sports a respectable .244 ISO and .353 wOBA against righties this season, so there is upside as a flier at FantasyScore Friday.
Fri, 03 Jul 2015 06:18:20 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Hamels ($8,500, 17.0% of cap) has a 3.22 ERA, a 1.15 WHIP and 113 strikeouts in 106 1/3 innings, but he's on a bad team, which limits his win potential. He's still effective on FantasyScore, but 17% of your cap is a lot to put on a starter with tall odds to get the win.

Fantasy Tip: It looks like Rasmus ($3,100, 6.2% of cap) will avoid the DL. However, it's unknown if he'll be back in the lineup tonight against the Red Sox. If he is in there, he's a risky FantasyScore option against a left-handed pitcher.

Houston Astros OF George Springer (wrist) will not need surgery for his non-displaced fracture of his wrist, according to general manager Jeff Luhnow. Springer will have a checkpoint at the two-week mark and one at the six-week mark on his wrist. Luhnow thinks Springer would be cleared to resume baseball activities at the six-week mark.
Fantasy Tip: It sounds as though Springer ($5,100, 10.2% of cap) won't be back until at least September for the final month of the regular season. That's a significant chunk lost for his fantasy owners. At least in the short term, Domingo Santana ($2,700, 5.4% of cap) is worth a look for outfield depth in deep mixed and AL leagues, as he'll likely see an increase in value with consistent at-bats.
