Fantasy Tip: Just when it seemed as if Giles was finding his form, he has struggled in each of his last two outings. You can hang on to him in deeper formats, but his push to regain the closer's role appears to be on hold.

Fantasy Tip: Correa was supposed to have the game off, but he made the most of the surprise at-bat. His average has regressed this season, but he is still on pace to top 20 homers and 20 steals and remains a strong fantasy shortstop.

Houston Astros OF Carlos Gomez (ribs) is expected to come off the disabled list on Tuesday, May 31. Gomez is 5-for-17 with a home run four games into his rehab assignment with Class AAA Corpus Christi.
Fantasy Tip: Prior to landing on the disabled list in the middle of this month with a bruised left rib cage, Gomez was one of the worst everyday players in the majors (.182 with no homers and five RBI in 121 at-bats). With that said, the two-time All-Star is far too accomplished to write off just yet and makes for a solid buy-low target, especially considering he has the ability to hit 10-15 home runs and steal 20-plus bases.

Houston Astros 3B Colin Moran is not in the starting lineup against Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim SP Nick Tropeano Sunday, May 29. 1B Luis Valbuena will start at third base, while 1B Tyler White will start at first base and is batting sixth in the lineup.
Fantasy Tip: White has only one hit in his last seven games and is hitting only .192 this month. Owners in most leagues should be able to find better options to use in their lineups.

Houston Astros SS Carlos Correa is not in the starting lineup against Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim SP Nick Tropeano Sunday, May 29. SS Marwin Gonzalez will start at shortstop and is batting seventh in the lineup.
Fantasy Tip: Gonzalez only has three hits in his last 10 games and should be avoided in most fantasy leagues until he posts better numbers.

Houston Astros C Jason Castro is not in the starting lineup against Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim SP Nick Tropeano Sunday, May 29. C Evan Gattis will start at catcher, while OF George Springer will serve as the designated hitter. OF Colby Rasmus will start in right field, while OF Jake Marisnick will start in center field and is batting eighth.
Fantasy Tip: Gattis has been posting solid numbers in recent games and should be an option at catcher for fantasy owners. Marisnick is still hitting only .145 so far this season and should be avoided in all leagues.

Houston Astros SP Dallas Keuchel snapped a five-game losing streak Saturday, May 28, when he pitched seven innings in a 4-2 win over the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. It was the first win since April 15 for Keuchel, who entered this game with a 5.92 earned run average.
Fantasy Tip: One win doesn't turn around a season, but there's no doubt Keuchel is a much better pitcher than this season has gone. Part of it has to do with weak Astros hitting, which hasn't entirely turned around yet. Wait and see if Keuchel can string together two wins in a row, at which point it may be safer to put him back in your lineup.

Houston Astros OF Colby Rasmus is out of the starting lineup Saturday, May 28, against the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. OF Jake Marisnick is in for Ausmus and will hit eighth against Angels SP Jered Weaver.
Fantasy Tip: This appears to be a normal off night for Rasmus, who is hitting .190 in the past week and slumping badly at the plate. Marisnick has been decent in the field for Houston but bad at the plate, and his fantasy value is minimal as a result.

Houston Astros SP Mike Fiers allowed seven runs on eight hits in 3 2/3 innings against the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim Friday, May 27, to suffer his third loss of the season. He struck out one batter and walked two during the game.
Fantasy Tip: Fiers had allowed only five runs in his previous three games but ran into trouble against the Angels. He is scheduled to face the Arizona Diamondbacks in his next start and may be a risky option for some owners.

Houston Astros 1B Tyler White is not in the starting lineup Friday, May 27. 3B Luis Valbuena shifts over to first base, which allows 3B Colin Moran to receive a start at third base against Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim SP Matt Shoemaker. Valbuena is hitting sixth and Moran is hitting seventh.
Fantasy Tip: White continues to struggle after impressing in April. His average is down to .228 on the season, and he's likely to continue losing playing time. He's becoming less valuable by the day in deep mixed and AL leagues. Valbuena has homered in each of the last three games and should be thrown out there while he's hot. Moran is hitless in his first 12 major league at-bats. Take a wait-and-see approach with the youngster for now.

Fantasy Tip: McCullers has had trouble with walks, but he also has 21 strikeouts in 15 2/3 innings in three starts since his delayed debut. He should be owned in all formats, and you this is probably your last chance to snatch him off waivers.
Thu, 26 May 2016 21:04:19 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Springer has been hitting leadoff this series, and he has six hits in 12 at-bats. He isn't going to win a batting title, but he has power to spare and should be starting in all formats.
Thu, 26 May 2016 20:52:07 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Giles has been working his way back from an awful start, and he has allowed just one run in his last 10 appearances. He could have a chance to take command of the ninth inning going forward, and he is a must-add if you are looking for saves.
Thu, 26 May 2016 12:22:34 -0700
Fantasy Tip: He's still batting .312 with nine home runs, 27 RBI and 15 stolen bases on the year. Altuve is too good an all-around hitter to stay down for too long. Continue running him out there in your starting lineups.
Wed, 25 May 2016 23:17:51 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Gattis has been raking since returning to the team just over a week ago. In fact, since his first game back on May 17, the former Atlanta Brave is 11-for-31 with four home runs and six RBI. He appears to be fully healthy, and given his current production, he can certainly be a force again for fantasy teams that deploy him.
