Fantasy Tip: Plouffe has picked up the pace with two homers and seven RBIs over his past eight games. He is a must-have fantasy option in AL-only leagues and some deeper mixed formats, as well as DFS play.

Minnesota Twins SS Brian Dozier went 1-for-4 with a run scored Friday, July 1, against the Texas Rangers to extend his hitting streak to a career-high 13 games. However, his run of 11 games in a row with at least one extra-base hit came to a close.
Fantasy Tip: Dozier has been on fire lately and a bright spot in an otherwise dismal season for the Twinkies. He has emerged as a must-start across all fantasy formats and DFS play.

Minnesota Twins SP Ervin Santana allowed two earned runs, three hits and three walks with five strikeouts over 6 1/3 innings in a no-decision Friday, July 1, against the Texas rangers. He threw 70 of his 117 pitches for strikes in the quality start.
Fantasy Tip: Santana has a 2-7 record over all this season, but he has started to chip away at his high ERA. He has allowed just five runs over the past three starts in 18 2/3 innings, dropping his ERA from 5.10 to 4.50. He is still not worth using in most mixed fantasy formats.

Fantasy Tip: Trevor Plouffe is serving as the DH tonight. It's good news for Max Kepler, who has been playing right field regularly lately. He has appeal in AL-only and dynasty formats. With Sano back from the DL, he should immediately be returned to all fantasy lineups because of his 30-homer potential.

Fantasy Tip: With Miguel Sano back from the DL Friday, Grossman drops down the order against a left-hander. After a hot start with Minnesota, Grossman has just three hits in his last 21 at-bats with a homer and two RBI. He's mainly depth in deep mixed and AL-only leagues, and he should be avoided against the southpaw in DFS.

Fantasy Tip: Sano has big-time power and could easily reach the 30-homer mark in the second half. However, he whiffs often and won't help your team's average at all. Get him back into all starting lineups. If he was dropped anywhere, grab him immediately. Park has similar pop but has struggled of late. You can let go for now in mixed leagues, but you may want to stash him in AL-only formats.

Fantasy Tip: Sano will be a solid source of power with his .235-11-27 line and should return to all lineups.

Fantasy Tip: It appears as though the 26-year-old right-hander is on the verge of being activated from the disabled list. His high strikeout totals (40 through 26 1/3 innings) make him somewhat useful in deep AL-only fantasy leagues but owners may be scared away due to his high ERA (6.08) and WHIP (1.50).

Minnesota Twins manager Paul Molitor is uncertain if SP Tommy Milone will make his next scheduled start versus the Oakland Athletics Tuesday, July 5, after he turned in a disappointing performance against the Chicago White Sox Thursday, June 30. "Haven't really gone there yet in my mind," Molitor said.
Fantasy Tip: Milone allowed five runs on nine hits over 3 1/3 innings versus the ChiSox Thursday, with one walk and three strikeouts. If the 29-year-old left-hander is dropped from the rotation, the Twins could turn to SP Jose Berrios, who came close to tossing a no-hitter for Class AAA Rochester in his most recent outing. Milone now possesses a 6.23 ERA through seven appearances (six starts) this year and is not worth owning outside of deep AL-only formats.

Fantasy Tip: It's quite a leap for Grossman to go from a guy that didn't start the season in the majors to hit third for the Twins today. The numbers don't support it, though. He's hitting .136 the last seven days and .231 this month. He is facing lefty Carlos Rodon, and he has hit .362 against lefties in 47 at-bats this year. However, he needs to be at a basement price to make the risk feasible.

Fantasy Tip: Nunez has been surprising effective for fantasy owners in AL-only leagues and deeper mixed play, hitting five homers in May and six in June.

Minnesota Twins SP Ricky Nolasco allowed seven runs and nine hits over 5 2/3 innings in a second straight loss Wednesday, June 29, against the Chicago White Sox. He also walked one and struck out five, throwing 62 of his 95 pitches for strikes.
Fantasy Tip: Nolasco's ERA (5.31) and WHIP (1.38) are slightly above his career averages, and he should only be trusted in the deepest of AL-only fantasy leagues if you're desperate for starting pitching.

Minnesota Twins SS Brian Dozier extended his hitting streak to 11 games with a double in the sixth inning Wednesday, June 29, against the Chicago White Sox. He has managed at least one extra-base hit in a franchise-record 10 straight games.
Fantasy Tip: Dozier is on quite the role, and has been a bright spot in an otherwise bleak season in Minneapolis. He is a must-start in all fantasy formats and DFS play while running hot.

Minnesota Twins 1B Byung Ho Park (rest) is not in the lineup Wednesday, June 29. SS Eduardo Escobar gets a start instead at shortstop and will bat seventh opposite Chicago White Sox SP James Shields. 3B Trevor Plouffe is serving as the designated hitter, while SS Eduardo Escobar is shifting over to third base.
Fantasy Tip: Park should return to Minnesota's lineup after a day off. Escobar recently had a seven-game hitting streak throughout the middle of June, so owners might want to consider him in daily formats for his potential value against a very erratic starting pitcher.

Fantasy Tip: Sano should return to the Twins sooner than later, and the doubleheader Thursday could be the final games of his rehab stint, so stay tuned for updates on that front. With approximately half the season left, look for Sano to approach or exceed 15 home runs and 45 RBI from here out. He should be owned in all formats.
