Fantasy Tip: Entering play Saturday, Oct. 3, the 40-year-old Hunter ($3,900, 7.8% of cap) was batting .239 with 22 doubles, 22 homers and 81 RBIs through 139 games. However, he is only batting .215 since the All-Star break, due in large part to a stretch from July 1 to Aug. 31 where he only collected 25 hits in 154 at-bats.

Fantasy Tip: Since Sept. 1, Gibson ($6,100, 12.2% of cap) is 3-2 with a 3.38 ERA over seven starts, with 43 strikeouts over 42 2/3 innings. He is 2-3 with a 3.21 ERA in five starts against Kansas City this year.

Minnesota Twins SP Kyle Gibson (11-11) allowed four hits over six scoreless innings Wednesday, Sept. 30, in the first game of a doubleheader against the Cleveland Indians. He walked two and tied a career high with nine strikeouts.
Fantasy Tip: Gibson ($6,100, 12.2% of cap) rebounded nicely from his outing against the Indians last week, when he allowed six runs on seven hits over just 2 2/3 innings. He will make his final start of the regular season against the Kansas City Royals Sunday, Oct. 4.

Minnesota Twins OF Byron Buxton is starting in center field and is hitting ninth in Game 1 of a doubleheader against Cleveland Indians SP Cody Anderson Wednesday, Sept. 30. OF Aaron Hicks will start on the bench.
Fantasy Tip: Unfortunately for those wanting to use Buxton ($3,700, 7.4% of cap), FantasyScore is not including any of the three early doubleheaders today. There's a good chance that Hicks ($4,100, 8.2% of cap) is back in center field for the nightcap.

Fantasy Tip: It remains to be seen if Hughes ($5,600, 11.2% of cap) will make one more start this season sometime this weekend. However, even if he does, he'd be a weak FantasyScore play coming off an illness.

Fantasy Tip: It appears safe to get Plouffe ($4,400, 8.8% of cap) back into the FantasyScore lineup now that he has proved his health.
Mon, 28 Sep 2015 15:51:07 -0700
Minnesota Twins 3B Trevor Plouffe and RPs Brian Duensing and Kevin Jepsen have been affected by a virus going around the team's clubhouse in recent days, according to manager Paul Molitor. SP Phil Hughes (illness) was scratched from his start Monday, Sept. 28.
Fantasy Tip: Plouffe ($4,400, 8.8% of cap) is in the lineup tonight as the Twins push for the wild card. He has only three hits in his last 23 at-bats since Sept. 20, though, so you may want to fade him in your daily lineups, especially while facing Cleveland Indians ace Corey Kluber this evening.
Mon, 28 Sep 2015 13:14:30 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Milone ($5,600, 11.2% of cap) owns a 5.72 ERA through 11 appearances in the second half with an unattractive 6.6 K/9. FantasyScore players should view him as nothing more than a contrarian flier for contests Monday.
Mon, 28 Sep 2015 13:08:28 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Make sure to avoid Hughes ($5,600, 11.2% of cap) in all fantasy formats Monday, and there is no telling what is next for him. View him as a desperation hold in seasonal leagues at this stage of the game. Milone ($5,600, 11.2% of cap), similarly, isn't a strong option for FantasyScore players Monday. He owns a 5.72 ERA through 11 appearances in the second half.
Mon, 28 Sep 2015 13:02:03 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Make sure to avoid Suzuki ($3,700, 7.4% of cap) in all fantasy formats Monday. He remains a low-end option in AL-only, cavernous mixed and two-catcher formats, but he should start the rest of the games with Minnesota chasing a playoff berth. Herrmann ($1,600, 3.2% of cap) is nothing more than a desperation source of cap relief at FantasyScore Monday.

Fantasy Tip: Make sure to avoid Plouffe ($4,400, 8.8% of cap) in all fantasy formats Sunday, and check back for an update on the severity of his illness. Nunez ($1,800, 3.6% of cap) owns a reverse split and is actually a better hitter against right-handed hurlers. However, this is a great spot to tee up some savings at FantasyScore with Nunez, as Wolf ($3,200, 6.4% of cap) owns a 5.91 ERA through his six starts this season.
Fri, 25 Sep 2015 19:12:27 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Rosario ($3,700, 7.4% of cap) has driven in five runs in the last two games and has four home runs and 16 RBIs in 84 at-bats during the month of September. He's worthy of consideration as a FantasyScore value play.

Minnesota Twins SP Tommy Milone (shoulder) is scheduled to throw 20 to 30 pitches during a bullpen session Saturday, Sept. 26. He hopes to return to action before the end of the regular season but he is unsure what role he would be used in.
Fantasy Tip: Milone ($5,600, 11.2% of cap) has been sidelined recently due to shoulder fatigue. He is unlikely to have much of an impact in FantasyScore again this season, especially if the Twins decide to use him out of the bullpen.
Fri, 25 Sep 2015 15:58:56 -0700
Minnesota Twins SP Tyler Duffey isn't being shut down, according to general manager Terry Ryan. The team will continue to monitor him on a start-by-start basis. Duffey starts against the Detroit Tigers Saturday, Sept. 26.
Fantasy Tip: Duffey ($6,000, 12.0% of cap) has allowed more than three earned runs just once in his eight starts this year, and it came all the way back on Aug. 5. He's struck out a surprising 8.7 hitters per nine innings, too, and he's not a bad option for your second pitching spot on FantasyScore tomorrow.
Wed, 23 Sep 2015 14:54:06 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Nolasco ($3,200, 6.4% of cap) loses all fantasy value outside of being a desperation hold in AL-only and cavernous mixed leagues. He hasn't pitched since Sunday, May 31, and he owns a 5.40 ERA through 191 2/3 innings since joining the Twins. Nolasco carries extremely limited fantasy value.
