Fantasy Tip: If Gee ($3,900, 7.8% of cap) is traded or pitches poorly in his next few outings, P Rafael Montero is considered the heavy favorite to move into the starting rotation to replace him. Gee is 0-1 with a 7.59 ERA through two starts this season.

Fantasy Tip: Colon ($4,100, 8.2% of cap) has allowed three earned runs or less and struck out at least five in all three starts, and while he is unlikely to sustain his current pace, there is no reason you can't ride Colon at FantasyScore until he cools off.

Fantasy Tip: Consider Campbell ($1,600, 3.2% of cap) a nice low-priced flier for FantasyScore contests if he finds a groove at the plate. He is currently 2-for-8 with two runs and a RBI for the season. Campbell also has fleeting value in NL-only and cavernous mixed leagues.

Fantasy Tip: Gee ($3,900, 7.8% of cap) has allowed nine earned runs through 10 2/3 innings over his first two starts, although he did fan seven Miami Marlins in his outing Thursday, April 16. Still, he is a risky FantasyScore start until he finds a groove. There is potential Noah Syndergaard's arrival with the big club may happen sooner than expected if he pitches well in Triple-A Las Vegas. Syndergaard is worth stashing in NL-only and cavernous mixed leagues.

New York Mets RP/SP Rafael Montero will start against the Miami Marlins Tuesday, April 28, according to manager Terry Collins. Collins noted it may only be a single start, but that SP Dillon Gee is on a short leash.
Fantasy Tip: While Montero flashed some strikeout potential through his eight starts last year, his results weren't impressive. He posted a 3.98 ERA, a 1.47 WHP and a 1-3 record. Add that it is unlikely he'll pitch deep into the game, and there is no reason to take a leap of faith with Montero in FantasyScore contests.

Fantasy Tip: Make sure to remove d'Arnaud ($3,100, 6.2% of cap) from your fantasy lineups Friday. Recker ($1,600, 3.2% of cap) is nothing more than a low-priced flier, and hitting in front of the pitcher does him no favors. FantasyScore players should likely aim higher.

New York Mets RP Bobby Parnell (elbow) pitched one inning for High-A St. Lucie Thursday, April 16. He allowed two runs and two hits without a strikeout. His fastball was between 89-93 mph in the outing.
Fantasy Tip: Parnell will likely need more time on the farm before returning. He could figure into the closing mix soon after he returns, but Jeurys Familia has converted four saves this week. Stash Parnell in deep leagues.

Fantasy Tip: Duda ($3,200, 6.4% of cap) now has three multi-hit games in a row and is becoming a must start on FantasyScore until he cools off. Duda is a more favorable option against right-handed pitchers, but he has gotten off to a great start against lefties this season, with three hits in his first eight appearances.

Fantasy Tip: d'Arnaud's ($3,100, 6.2% of cap) fantasy value will temporarily receive a boost with David Wright (hamstring) on the disabled list. In the No. 2 spot last night, d'Arnaud immediately responded by going 2-for-4 with a home run, two runs and an RBI. He'll be another strong FantasyScore option tonight against Cosart.

New York Mets SP Dillon Gee will take the bump Thursday, April 16, against the Miami Marlins in the first of a four-game series. He is 3-1 with a 2.84 ERA in six starts against the Marlins, and he has not allowed a home run against Miami since Aug. 29, 2011.
Fantasy Tip: Gee could be a solid value play in FantasyScore at just $3,900 (or 7.8% of cap) based on his history against Miami. OF Giancarlo Stanton ($6,100; 12.2% of cap) is just 1-for-9 (.111) with a home run in his career against Gee.
Wed, 15 Apr 2015 22:33:45 -0700
New York Mets SP Jon Niese allowed one earned run while scattering nine hits over 6 ⅓ innings Wednesday, April 15, against the Philadelphia Phillies in a win. He also had two walks and four strikeouts in the 94-pitch quality start.
Fantasy Tip: Niese is 4-0 with a 1.87 ERA over his past six outings against the Phillies. Scribble that down in your DFS notebooks and remember Niese next time the Mets square off with the Phillies May 8-10.
Wed, 15 Apr 2015 22:30:27 -0700
Updating a previous report, New York Mets OF Michael Cuddyer (hand) was back in the starting lineup Wednesday, April 15, against the Philadelphia Phillies. He went 1-for-4 with a double and run scored.
Fantasy Tip: The good news is that Cuddyer played a full game without any setbacks. FantasyScore owners can feel free to plug him back in at $2,600 (or 5.2% of cap). There arenít too many cleanup hitters out there with that low of a price tag, so there is some value.
Wed, 15 Apr 2015 14:09:56 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Stash Wright in all formats and check back for updates on his recovery and for an official announcement on when he'll return. In his absence, Eric Campbell ($1,600, 3.2% of cap) has fleeting value in NL-only formats and is a potential low-priced flier for FantasyScore contests when facing a favorable pitching matchup. Still, expectations should be kept in check with Campbell, as he returned a .263/.322/.358 slash line over 190 at-bats last season.
Wed, 15 Apr 2015 13:27:05 -0700
Fantasy Tip: With Familia taking the night off, Jerry Blevins and Carlos Torres are the most likely options to close out the game in a save situation. Blevins and Torres should be viewed as desperation adds for the save speculators in cavernous mixed league and NL-only formats.
Wed, 15 Apr 2015 13:21:20 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Campbell ($1,600, 3.2% of cap) was recalled from the minors to take Wright's roster spot after he was placed on the DL today. Campbell hit very well in spring training and will be a sleeper option at FantasyScore, especially tonight against Phillies starter Jerome Williams.
