Fantasy Tip: Cespedes ($5,900, 11.8% of cap) has seven hits, five RBI and five runs scored in his last three games, and he is worth every penny at FantasyScore when he has dialed in at the plate.

New York Mets 1B Lucas Duda (back) could return at some point during the upcoming series against the Washington Nationals, which begins Monday, Sept. 7, according to assistant general manager John Ricco. Ricco said it likely would not be Monday, though.
Fantasy Tip: Expect Duda ($4,100, 8.2% of cap) to return sometime mid-week, so he is a risky start in weekly formats. Additionally, the Mets have been rolling with the hot hand a lot, and their lineup receives a near daily makeover, so Duda could receive a few less at-bats through the end of the season. Still, he should be owned in all fantasy leagues. Continue to check back for updates.

New York Mets OF Michael Cuddyer (wrist) said his "grip and range of motion is slim to none" in his right wrist, and his anti-inflammatory medication is not helping. He is visiting a doctor Friday, Sept. 4.
Fantasy Tip: Cuddyer ($4,000, 8.0% of cap) has been nursing a knee injury all season, so while he has been modestly productive when in the lineup, you cannot count on everyday at-bats, especially with a wrist injury now looming over him. Rookie Michael Conforto ($3,700, 7.4% of cap) is also out hitting Cuddyer. Cuddyer is a stash candidate, but it isn't out of the question to look for an upgrade.

Fantasy Tip: Murphy ($3,500, 7.0% of cap) was deemed day-to-day with the injury, and he projects to see less playing time over the next few days, if he plays at all. Kelly Johnson ($3,800, 7.6% of cap), Juan Uribe ($2,800, 5.6% of cap) and Wilmer Flores ($4,500, 9.0% of cap) are all candidates to receive a boost in playing time while Murphy recovers.

Fantasy Tip: Conforto ($3,700, 7.4% of cap) grabs a nice value boost hitting fourth against a struggling Koehler ($5,400, 10.8% of cap) Friday. FantasyScore players should take a long look at Conforto. He owns a .963 OPS over his 31 games with the Mets, and Koehler has allowed a .881 OPS over his past seven starts.
Fri, 04 Sep 2015 13:14:06 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Uribe ($2,800, 5.6% of cap) has upside, but he also carries plenty of risk at FantasyScore Friday. It is a great matchup, though, with Koehler ($5,400, 10.8% of cap) serving up a .305/.363/.518 slash line to opposing hitters through his past seven starts. Uribe checks out as a low-priced flier for daily contests Friday.
Fri, 04 Sep 2015 13:08:31 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Johnson ($3,800, 7.6% of cap) is a high-risk, high-reward play at FantasyScore Friday. Koehler ($5,400, 10.8% of cap) has been struggling with a 6.81 ERA over his past seven outings, though, so Johnson warrants consideration as a flier Friday. Johnson should see an uptick in playing time with Daniel Murphy (quadriceps) nursing a minor injury.

New York Mets SP Matt Harvey will have another start skipped in September in an effort to manage his innings and allow him to pitch in the postseason. Harvey is expected to make four more starts this season, including his next outing against the Washington Nationals Tuesday, Sept. 8. However, Harvey's agent Scott Boras said Friday, Sept. 4, that Harvey had a strict limit of 180 innings mandated by doctors, and exceeding the limit could imperil Harvey's future health.
Fantasy Tip: Four starts would push Harvey ($9,400, 18.8% of cap) well over the innings cap outlined by Boras, and it isn't out of the question for him to be skipped more than once this month, especially if New York continues to pad its division lead. Seasonal owners will want to monitor the situation closely, as there could come a time when Harvey is shut down until the playoffs. He remains a high-end arm in all fantasy formats whenever he takes the mound, including at FantasyScore.

New York Mets 1B Lucas Duda (back) will begin his rehab assignment with Class AA Binghamton Saturday, Sept. 5, and he's scheduled to play against Sunday, Sept. 6. He could rejoin the Mets as early as Monday, Sept. 7, in the beginning of a series against the Washington Nationals.
Fantasy Tip: Duda ($4,100, 8.2% of cap) could be a little sluggish at the plate when he returns after recovering from a herniated disc in his back, so avoiding him on FantasyScore for at least the first couple of games may be the smart move. Kelly Johnson ($3,800, 7.6% of cap) may find it tougher to gaining at-bats once Duda is back.

Fantasy Tip: With Murphy ($3,500, 7.0% of cap) likely to miss a couple games, both Wilmer Flores ($4,500, 9.0% of cap) or Kelly Johnson ($3,800, 7.6% of cap) could grab more playing time. Murphy was really turning it on at the dish, too, with a .324/.345/.546 slash line, 20 runs, four home runs and 22 RBI over his past 26 games. Continue to check back for updates on Murphy and when he'll return to the lineup.

Fantasy Tip: Harvey ($9,400, 18.8% of cap) labored through his start and win against the Philadelphia Phillies last night and dealt with some dehydration, allowing nine hits and four earned runs while walking one and fanning nine in 6 1/3 innings. He should be fine moving forward, but remember, the Mets still plan on skipping one more of his starts this month to keep his innings under a cap for 2015.

Fantasy Tip: Entering play Wednesday, Tejada ($3,100, 6.2% of cap) was hitting .283 in 113 at-bats since the All-Star break, although he has never been known as an offensive threat. Wilmer Flores ($4,500, 9.0% of cap) has been the better choice at shortstop for FantasyScore purposes.
Wed, 02 Sep 2015 19:34:30 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Harvey's ($9,400, 18.8% of cap) streak of six quality starts came to an end Wednesday and the nine hits allowed were tied for the most he has given up in any outing this season. He will make his next start against the Washington Nationals next week.
Wed, 02 Sep 2015 18:31:51 -0700
Updating a previous report, New York Mets SP Matt Harvey will not be skipped during the final game of the series against the Washington Nationals next week, even though the team plans to skip one of his starts before the end of the regular season.
Fantasy Tip: Harvey ($9,400, 18.8% of cap) would likely make four more starts during the regular season if he gets his turn skipped, in order to keep him within the soft cap of 180-185 innings that the club and medical staff established for him during spring training. However, none of the team's pitchers will operate under an innings limit if the team makes the playoffs.
Wed, 02 Sep 2015 17:35:22 -0700
Updating a previous report, New York Mets 1B Daniel Murphy (quadriceps) was removed from the game as a precautionary measure against the Philadelphia Phillies Wednesday, Sept. 2, due to discomfort in his left quadriceps.
Fantasy Tip: It is uncertain how much time, if any, Murphy ($3,500, 7.0% of cap) will miss. Stay tuned for further updates on his condition.
