New York Mets SP Bartolo Colon allowed one run on five hits in seven innings against the Washington Nationals Monday, May 23, to earn his fourth win of the season. He struck out two batters and walked two during the game.
Fantasy Tip: Colon has pitched well this season and has allowed more than three runs in only one of his 10 starts. He is scheduled to face the Los Angeles Dodgers in his next start and should be a solid starting option in most leagues.

Fantasy Tip: Cespedes and Walker rank one and two in home runs among the team so far this season and should continue to be in the middle of the lineup. Both players should be starting option in all leagues at this point.

Fantasy Tip: Wright has picked up a hit in each of his last four games but is hitting only .225 on the season. He should still be a starting option in most mixed leagues but may not be a great option for owners in daily fantasy leagues.

New York Mets 1B Dominic Smith, the team's first-round pick in 2013, is not a candidate to be promoted to the major leagues with 1B Lucas Duda (back) injured, according to manager Terry Collins. Smith is only 20 years old and has less than two months of experience at Class AA. 2B Dilson Herrera was also considered for a call-up, but shifting 2B Neil Walker to first base wasn't an option.
Fantasy Tip: Smith should be watched in dynasty and keeper formats for the time being. Smith is hitting .272 (44-for-162) with four home runs and 31 RBI for Class AA Binghamton this year.

Fantasy Tip: The Mets are hoping to have Wheeler enter their rotation July 1 after recovering from Tommy John surgery. Keep expectations in check upon his immediate return, but Wheeler has plenty of upside in the rotation and should be stashed in the majority of seasonal leagues. You'll probably want to avoid him in his first start or two, depending on the matchups.

Fantasy Tip: D'Arnaud could go on a rehab assignment shortly after that, but no timetable has been set for his return. He's been an extreme injury risk in his young career and has developed a reputation as a slow healer, so you'll need to remain patient wherever you own him. He can put up top-tier offensive numbers at his position when healthy.

Updating a previous report, New York Mets 1B Lucas Duda (back) will be out four to six weeks with a lower back stress fracture, according to manager Terry Collins. INF Ty Kelly will be part of a committee at first base with 3B Eric Campbell in the short term. SS Wilmer Flores (hamstring) is expected to start the majority of games there once he returns from the disabled list. OF Michael Conforto will also work out at first base in anticipation of playing some games there, according to Collins. 3B David Wright is not a consideration.
Fantasy Tip: Kelly was mashing at Class AAA Las Vegas (.391/.478/.548), but his stay is likely to be short. Don't overvalue him in NL-only leagues. Flores has some surprising pop for a middle infielder and could become even more attractive with first base eligibility as depth in cavernous mixed and NL-only affairs. Make sure to stash Duda everywhere because of his 30-homer potential.

Fantasy Tip: Eric Campbell, Matt Reynolds and even Alejandro De Aza could fill in at first with Duda sidelined. De Aza might be the most fantasy relevant for his speed if he sees enough at-bats. Duda is a streaky hitter and hurts your team average, but his elite power makes him worth stashing in all leagues.

New York Mets OF Michael Conforto and 1B Lucas Duda (back) are not in the starting lineup against Washington Nationals left-handed SP Gio Gonzalez Monday, May 23. OF Juan Lagares is starting in center field and batting second with OF Yoenis Cespedes shifting to left field. 3B Eric Campbell is starting at first base and is batting seventh.
Fantasy Tip: Lagares is more known for his defense but could be a sleeper consideration hitting out of the two-hole in daily lineups. Campbell has only nine hits in 42 at-bats this year (.214) and should be avoided.

Fantasy Tip: Syndergaard has exploded on the Mets scene in a little over a year to become perhaps the team's top pitcher. The Brewers have their share of issues, but it doesn't matter in this case. Syndergaard is simply a top pitcher who should be started in all formats.

New York Mets 1B Lucas Duda (back) and C Kevin Plawecki are not in the starting lineup against Milwaukee Brewers SP Chase Anderson Sunday, May 22. INF Eric Campbell will bat seventh and play first base for the second consecutive day, while C Rene Rivera will start behind the plate and bat eighth.
Fantasy Tip: Both Campbell and Rivera are only worth using in daily fantasy games as desperation sources of salary cap relief this afternoon.

Fantasy Tip: Until Harvey starts to show some positive results when it counts, he is going to be a risky starting option in all formats.
Sat, 21 May 2016 17:37:01 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Between routine days off and a .223 batting average, Wright is only worth a look in NL-only formats at this point.

New York Mets 1B Lucas Duda (back) had an MRI on his back and will have additional tests, manager Terry Collins said Saturday, May 21. Collins also said that Duda could have a disk issue, and he will not play Sunday, May 22.
Fantasy Tip: It sounds like Duda's injury could linger for a while. Hang on to him for the time being, but be prepared for him to miss some time.

New York Mets INF Wilmer Flores (hamstring) will begin a rehab assignment Tuesday, May 24, and he is expected to be activated from the disabled list Friday, May 27, according to manager Terry Collins.
Fantasy Tip: Flores was just 9-for-50 (.180) with a home run and two RBI before landing on the disabled list with a left hamstring injury. That being said, the 24-year-old possesses upside because of his positional versatility and power and should remain stashed in NL-only and deep mixed leagues.
