Fantasy Tip: Granderson ($2,800, 5.6% of cap) is hitting just .232 but he has an OBP of .364. With the possibility to score some runs at the top of the Mets' lineup, Granderson is worthy of consideration for GPP tournaments.
Sun, 03 May 2015 05:30:32 -0700
Fantasy Tip: It was his second consecutive scoreless seven-inning outing, as Syndergaard is now at 14 consecutive scoreless innings. Dillon Gee's ($3,900, 7.8% of cap) the only man standing in his way of locking down a starting rotation spot, and with the Mets in first place in the National League East, adding their top pitching prospect to the rotation may happen sooner than later. A speculative add in deep mixed leagues isn't out of the question, and Syndergaard is worth stashing in all cavernous mixed and NL-only formats.

Fantasy Tip: Flores ($2,800, 5.6% of cap) hasn't hit well, and a three-day rest period now may be followed by an option to the minors if he continues his lack of hitting. For now, do not play Flores in any of your daily lineups.

Updating a previous report, New York Mets 3B David Wright (hamstring) is not expected to return for the series against the Philadelphia Phillies beginning Friday, May 8, according to general manager Sandy Alderson.
Fantasy Tip: Continue to stash Wright ($4,100, 8.2% of cap) in all formats, and fantasy owners should hope the cautious approach means Wright is returning 100% healthy. While he is out, Dilson Herrera receives the biggest fantasy boost, as the Mets have realigned their infield to provide him everyday at-bats. Herrera's value is limited and fleeting, so consider him a desperation flier in all formats.

Fantasy Tip: While pitch counts usually hinder fantasy value, Harvey ($8,800, 17.6% of cap) can easily rack up plenty of fake points with 105 pitches. Continue to view him as a No. 1 option in all formats, and he is worth building your FantasyScore lineup around Friday.
Fri, 01 May 2015 13:11:58 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Continue to monitor Wright's ($4,100, 8.2% of cap) recovery and return timeline. He is expected to be approximately a week away from returning. The Mets have shuffled the infield in his absence, and Daniel Murphy ($2,900, 5.8% of cap) has moved to third base, and Dilson Herrera is manning the keystone position. Herrera's value is fleeting, though, and he can be ignored in the majority of formats.
Fri, 01 May 2015 12:32:23 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Herrera is expected to play second base while Daniel Murphy ($2,900, 5.8% of cap) handles the hot corner until David Wright ($4,100, 8.2% of cap) returns from his hamstring injury. With Max Scherzer ($9,200, 18.4% of cap) on the hill for the Nationals Friday, there is no reason to roster Herrera in any fantasy format, and his seasonal value appears to be fleeting, anyway.
Fri, 01 May 2015 05:46:24 -0700
Fantasy Tip: That will let the steam out of any fantasy value Eric Campbell had. Murphy ($2,900, 5.8% of your cap) is hitting just .198-2-14 this season and is a risky second base play on FantasyScore.
Fri, 01 May 2015 05:45:45 -0700
Fantasy Tip: The move will shift Daniel Murphy to third until David Wright returns (hamstring) in a week or two. Herrera is hitting .370 with a homer and 11 RBI in 81 Triple-A at-bats. He hit .323-13-71 with 23 steals at two levels last season. He might be a matchup play on FantasyScore.

Fantasy Tip: Fantasy owners would be wise to avoid Wright ($4,100, 8.2% of cap) in all formats until he returns and shakes off a little rust in a game or two. It is good timing for owners in weekly formats, as they'll have the weekend to assess Wright's play before returning him to their lineups for the following week. Eric Campbell's ($1,600, 3.2% of cap) fleeting value is fading by the day. Continue to check back for updates.

New York Mets SP Jacob deGrom, who is 2-2 with a 2.96 ERA this year, is 7-0 with a 0.95 ERA in his last eight starts at home, and another win will give him the longest home winning streak by a Met since Johan Santana won nine straight decisions in 2008 and 2009. deGrom threw 13 1/3 scoreless innings in both of his starts at home this year. He's 0-1 with a 3.75 ERA in two career starts against the Washington Nationals, who he faces Thursday, April 30.
Fantasy Tip: deGrom ($7,700, 15.4% of cap) is coming off a rough outing on the road against the New York Yankees, and he's facing a Nats team that has rattled off more than 10 runs and 15 hits in each of the last two games. deGrom could do just fine, but he's not a slam dunk at FantasyScore.

Fantasy Tip: Continue to stash Wright ($4,100, 8.2% of cap) in all formats and check back for an official announcement on his return date. Eric Campbell's ($1,600, 3.2% of cap) fleeting value is coming to an end, although he will likely continue to see the odd start as Wright shakes the rust off initially.
Thu, 30 Apr 2015 07:30:05 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Colon is 4-1 with a 3.31 ERA and 25 K's in 32 2/3 innings. At $5,200 (10.4% of your cap), he's at a decent price for a midrange start on FantasyScore.
Wed, 29 Apr 2015 22:11:45 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Parnell's timetable is unclear, as he makes his way back from reconstructive elbow surgery last season.
Wed, 29 Apr 2015 14:29:07 -0700
New York Mets SP Bartolo Colon dealt with a blister on his throwing hand that affected him on offspeed pitches, and no qualified pitcher has thrown a higher percentage of fastballs than Colon (88.1%) this season. Colon also led the league last year in fastball percentage (82.6%) and in 2013 (85.5%).
Fantasy Tip: Colon ($5,200, 10.4% of cap) has won the first four starts of the season for the first time in his long career. He already beat the Marlins this year back on April 17 and allowed just one earned run in seven innings. Colon was 1-1 with a 2.45 ERA against Miami last year in 14 2/3 innings, too. Don't expect his 7.96 K/9 to last all year with a predictable arsenal. With things going in his favor right now, he's not a bad candidate for your daily rosters, but don't expect many strikeouts the second time around against Miami.
