Fantasy Tip: Syndergaard ($7,900, 15.8% of cap) has struck out at least eight in four straight starts and has 166 strikeouts in 150 innings this year. He should make a strong option at FantasyScore as the Mets head into the postseason.

Fantasy Tip: Matz ($6,800, 13.6% of cap) could still start in the National League Division Series, but his status has to be considered up in the air at this point. Don't hang the hopes of your fantasy team on Matz.

Fantasy Tip: Plawecki ($2,900, 5.8% of cap) has a tough draw against Max Scherzer and isn't a good option on FantasyScore.

Fantasy Tip: Herrera ($2,600, 5.2% of cap) has a tough draw against Max Scherzer and isn't a good option on FantasyScore.
Sat, 03 Oct 2015 15:50:33 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Cuddy ($4,000, 8.0% of cap) is 6-for-24 (.250) with two homers off Max Scherzer and is a suspect option on FantasyScore.

Fantasy Tip: KJ ($3,700, 7.4% of cap) is 5-for-20 (.250) with a solo homer off Max Scherzer, and there are better options on FantasyScore.
Sat, 03 Oct 2015 15:42:02 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Conforto ($4,300, 8.6% of cap) is 3-for-16 (.188) the last week and faces Max Scherzer. He's probably not a good option on FantasyScore.

New York Mets OF Michael Conforto is not in the starting lineup for the first game of a doubleheader against the Washington Nationals Saturday, Oct. 3. OF Juan Lagares will start in center field against SP Gio Gonzalez and is batting first, while OF Yoenis Cespedes will start in left field.
Fantasy Tip: The Mets are facing a left-handed pitcher, which is why Conforto ($4,300, 8.6% of cap) is out of the lineup. Lagares ($3,400, 6.8% of cap) has only two hits in his last 10 games and may not be the best starting option for owners on FantasyScore.

New York Mets OF Curtis Granderson is not in the starting lineup for the first game of a doubleheader against the Washington Nationals Saturday, Oct. 3. OF Michael Cuddyer will start in right field against SP Gio Gonzalez and is batting fifth in the lineup.
Fantasy Tip: Granderson ($4,100, 8.2% of cap) likely is sitting out because the team is facing a left-handed pitcher. Cuddyer ($4,000, 8.0% of cap) is hitting .111 with two RBI over the last seven days and may not be the best option.

New York Mets SP Steven Matz (back) still has not been ruled out of making a start in the National League Division Series, but "the concern level has gone up" about his back injury, general manager Sandy Alderson said Friday, Oct. 2.
Fantasy Tip: Matz ($6,800, 13.6% of cap) could still pitch a few innings out of the bullpen before the end of the season, but the pessimism surrounding his health makes him nothing more than a desperation own in seasonal formats. At this point, he is likely best left to keeper/dynasty leagues.
Thu, 01 Oct 2015 17:05:32 -0700
New York Mets OF Yoenis Cespedes (fingers) is expected to return to action during this weekend's series against the Washington Nationals. Cespedes told manager Terry Collins that he was available to play against the Philadelphia Phillies Thursday, Oct. 1, but Collins opted to give him the day off.
Fantasy Tip: Cespedes ($5,900, 11.8% of cap) makes a risky play in FantasyScore as the regular season draws to a close, although he should be a popular choice for postseason lineups if he is fully healthy.
Thu, 01 Oct 2015 17:03:59 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Uribe ($2,800, 5.6% of cap) is unlikely to play again during the regular season and can be ignored in FantasyScore for now.
Thu, 01 Oct 2015 11:45:35 -0700
Fantasy Tip: With the regular season ending Sunday, Flores ($4,300, 8.6% of cap) and Cespedes ($5,900, 11.8% of cap) could be very risky plays this weekend on FantasyScore. Cespedes is obviously the much more attractive player, and if he's fully healthy for the playoffs, he'll be a very popular pick.
Thu, 01 Oct 2015 10:52:20 -0700
New York Mets SP Steven Matz (back) could pitch around five innings Saturday, Oct. 3, or Sunday, Oct. 4, out of the bullpen against the Washington Nationals after dealing with upper back soreness. The Mets will watch him carefully and are wary of naming him to the Division Series rotation. If Matz cannot start in the postseason, SP Bartolo Colon will take his spot.
Fantasy Tip: You won't be able to use Matz ($6,800, 13.6% of cap) on FantasyScore to close out the regular season now. He'll be pretty darn risky in daily leagues in the postseason in the division series against the Los Angeles Dodgers, too, if he makes the rotation.

Updating a previous report, New York Mets SS Wilmer Flores (back) left the game with muscle spasms in his back Wednesday, Sept. 30, and he said the injury only affected him on the field and running the bases. Flores said he could "hardly run" after reaching the bases.
Fantasy Tip: Flores ($4,300, 8.6% of cap) is not in the lineup Thursday and could be held out for much of the weekend as the team looks to have him fully healthy for a playoff run. Flores is a pretty risky commodity on FantasyScore to close out the regular season.
