New York Mets 3B David Wright started using a leg kick this spring in order to alleviate some of the strain his torque-heavy swing put on his back. The move also was sought to find a "rhythm" that he thought his swing was lacking last season. However, Wright abandoned the leg kick Tuesday, April 26, for the first time this year. Heading into Tuesday Wright ranked second in the National League with 26 strikeouts. With his leg kick, he wasn't using the middle of the field like he had before in his career, hitting the ball to the center of the field just 17% of the time.
Fantasy Tip: Wright had a hot start to the year but has since gone 4-for-26 (.154) with no home runs and three RBI in his last six games. His average is down to .232 with two home runs. Wright's injury issues are well-documented in the past few years, and his skills at the plate have declined with age. You shouldn't have been expecting much more than low-end third base output from Wright from the beginning.

Fantasy Tip: Conforto is hitting .454 (10-for-22) with five RBIs during his hitting streak. He is a must-start fantasy option in most formats, and a solid DFS option while running hot.

Fantasy Tip: Harvey lost his first three decisions, but now he is pitching how fantasy owners expected. It also helped that he faced the weak hitting Braves and Reds.

Fantasy Tip: Walker has three homers over his past five games, and six in his past nine, and he continues to add to his career-high homer total for a single month. Needless to say he is a must-start fantasy option in all formats and DFS play.

Fantasy Tip: Conforto is a budding superstar, although he's still likely to be benched when the Mets face a left-handed pitcher. But any time they're facing a right-hander, Conforto should be started in all fantasy formats with confidence the way he's going right now.

Fantasy Tip: Cespedes is off to a good start with six home runs, including a clutch three-run pinch-hit homer Tuesday night, and 17 RBI in 16 games. Based on the way he's been swinging of late, you'll want to immediately return him to all fantasy lineups.

Fantasy Tip: De Aza has just five hits in 26 at-bats (.192) this year but does have a home run, and a spot atop the booming Mets offense could make him worth a deep sleeper selection in daily formats. The matchup for De Aza is favorable, as well.

New York Mets OF Yoenis Cespedes (knee) remains out of the starting lineup Wednesday, April 27. OF Juan Lagares is starting in center field and is batting seventh against Cincinnati Reds SP Jon Moscot.
Fantasy Tip: Cespedes came up with a huge three-run pinch-hit home run last night, so you would think he's close to returning to the lineup. At least it looks like he'll avoid a DL stint. As soon as he's back in there you'll want to return him to all of your starting lineups. Lagares is more known for his defense and is a low-end outfield option in daily setups.

Fantasy Tip: With d'Arnaud on the shelf it is Kevin Plawecki and Rene Rivera serving as the top two backstops, with Plawecki expected to handle a lion's share of the starts behind the dish.

New York Mets SP Matt Harvey is scheduled to start Wednesday, April 27, against the Cincinnati Reds. Batters are hitting .200 (11-for-55) against him through the first four innings this season, they're hitting .353 (6-for-17) against him in the fifth inning and .714 (10-for-14) in the sixth frame.
Fantasy Tip: Harvey is a must-start fantasy option in NL-only leagues and mixed formats despite his struggles. He will get it going eventually and start going deeper into games. Be patient.

Fantasy Tip: Cespedes looked good, and it appears he'll be back in the starting lineup sooner rather than later. Wait to see him officially play before plugging him back into the starting lineup or before you trust him in DFS play.

Fantasy Tip: Duda is out due to the lefty vs. lefty matchup, although he may pinch-hit later in the game. Still, daily owners should leave Duda off their roster. Flores has little fantasy value (.143 average in the last week, .174 for the season).

New York Mets OF Michael Conforto is hitting cleanup against Cincinnati Reds left-handed SP Brandon Finnegan Tuesday, April 26. It's Conforto's first start this year against a left-handed pitcher and first start ever since his debut July 24 last year. It's the second time he's been in the cleanup spot.
Fantasy Tip: This situation is likely the result of Yoenis Cespedes (knee) still being out, but it also speaks to how well Conforto has been playing and the confidence that Terry Collins has in him. The young hitter has a .333 average with three home runs and 11 RBI in 57 at-bats. He hit just .214 (3-for-14) against lefties last year, so you should have reservations about using him in daily lineups tonight.

New York Mets OF Yoenis Cespedes (knee) is out for the fourth consecutive game Tuesday, April 26, against the Cincinnati Reds. OF Juan Lagares is in the lineup and will bat seventh against Reds SP Brandon Finnegan.
Fantasy Tip: Mets general manager Sandy Alderson does not think Cespedes is headed for the disabled list, so keep him in your lineup in weekly or annual leagues. Daily-contest participants obviously should look elsewhere until Cespedes returns. Lagares has a .385 average in the last week and makes a decent daily substitute.

New York Mets C Travis d'Arnaud (shoulder) was placed on the 15-day disabled list with a right rotator cuff strain Tuesday, April 26, and the Mets purchased the contract of C Rene Rivera from Class AAA Las Vegas in a corresponding move.
Fantasy Tip: A slow start (.196/.288/.261 with no home runs) just got even worse for d'Arnaud. This could be an injury that could require surgery and keep him out for an extended timeline, too, so stay tuned for updates. If you don't have the room to stash in shallow mixed leagues, you may be forced to drop him. Kevin Plawecki should see the majority of starts behind the plate but is nothing more than a second catcher in two-backstop leagues.
