Fantasy Tip: Niese ($4,200; or 8.4% of cap) had been a train wreck until this gem, so very few FantasyScore players likely benefited from this outing. If he cobbles together another quality start next time out it will be safe to trust him again.

The New York Mets might want to take a look at Milwaukee Brewers 3B Aramis Ramirez, who is hitting .383 with three home runs and a 1.115 OPS over his past 53 plate appearances. The team is unlikely to get 3B David Wright (spine) back as a significant contributor, if at all, and the Brewers likely would part ways with Ramirez for a price favorable to the Mets.
Fantasy Tip: Ramirez ($4,500; or 9.0% of cap) has struggled against left-handed pitching, but he is 4-for-11 (.364) with a double and RBI at Citi Field this season, and .344 hitter at Citi Field since the start of the 2012 season.

New York Mets RP Jenrry Mejia is set to regain the team during their series against the San Francisco Giants as his 80-game suspension for performance-enhancing drugs is coming to an end. He made his final rehab outing for Class AAA Las Vegas Sunday, July 5.
Fantasy Tip: With Jeurys Familia performing very well in the closer's role in the first half of the season, it seems highly unlikely that Mejia will have a shot at recording any saves, at least in the foreseeable future. He'll also likely be behind Bobby Parnell in the pecking order, so Mejia doesn't have much fantasy value at all.

Fantasy Tip: Monell ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) has only six hits in 33 at-bats (.182) this year. Avoid him on FantasyScore tonight.

New York Mets 1B Lucas Duda is not in the starting lineup Monday, July 6. OF Michael Cuddyer is starting at first base and hitting fifth against San Francisco Giants SP Chris Heston. Also, OF Kirk Nieuwenhuis is starting in left field and hitting sixth.
Fantasy Tip: Duda ($4,200, 8.4% of cap) should be avoided everywhere while in the midst of a bad slump at the plate. Cuddyer ($3,500, 7.0% of cap) has only two hits in his last 36 at-bats (.056) and isn't a strong FantasyScore value play. Avoid Nieuwenhuis ($1,900, 3.8% of cap) everywhere.

New York Mets 1B Lucas Duda (9-for-52), SS Ruben Tejada (1-for-27) and C Travis d'Arnaud (3-for-24) have struggled in the last 13 meetings with the San Francisco Giants. The Mets face the Giants in a series starting Monday, July 6.
Fantasy Tip: Duda ($4,200, 8.4% of cap) has just nine hits in his last 65 at-bats (.138) since June 17 with one home run and five RBI. Tejada ($3,400, 6.8% of cap) has seven hits in his last 46 at-bats (.152) even after recording three hits last night. Against Giants starter Chris Heston, who no hit the Mets the last time he faced them, neither Duda nor Tejada are intriguing FantasyScore plays Monday.

Fantasy Tip: Matz ($5,800, 11.6% of cap) has won his first two major league starts, allowing just two runs and striking out 14 in 13 2/3 innings. Tale advantage of his fast start at FantasyScore before the league has time to study and adjust.
Sun, 05 Jul 2015 20:50:22 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Flores ($3,900, 7.8% of cap) went 10-for-13 with five RBI in the three-game series, and he could make a nice source of cap relief at FantasyScore while he is swinging a hot bat.
Sun, 05 Jul 2015 12:36:04 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Cuddyer ($3,500, 7.0% of cap) is making his first start since Tuesday, June 30, although he made appearances as a pinch hitter in each of the last two games. FantasyScore owners should avoid using him today so that he can prove that he is completely healthy.
Sun, 05 Jul 2015 12:29:24 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Monell ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) has just five hits in 30 at-bats this season and is not a viable FantasyScore option.
Sat, 04 Jul 2015 05:12:52 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Over his past four stars, Syndergaard ($6,800, 13.6% of cap) has a 2.25 ERA with 25 strikeouts over 24 innings while limiting hitters to a .174/.226/.279 slash line. His only hiccup has been his start against the San Diego Padres Tuesday, June 2. He should be owned in all seasonal leagues, and Syndergaard's reasonable FantasyScore salary makes him a solid target as your No. 2 starting pitcher.
Fri, 03 Jul 2015 23:35:08 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Harvey ($8,800, 17.6% of cap) has stumbled as of late following a strong start. His strikeouts are pretty good, but a lack of wins has been the weakness. He's worth starting in FantasyScore contests, but have backups ready in case.

New York Mets SP Noah Syndergaard remained winless on the road Friday, July 3, against the Los Angeles Dodgers. He allowed one run on two hits over six innings with six strikeouts and two walks but picked up no decision as the Mets won 2-1.
Fantasy Tip: Syndergaard ($6,800, 13.6% of cap) still has 59 strikeouts through his first 10 starts. Only three pitchers (Dwight Gooden, Nolan Ryan and Matt Harvey) have gotten off to better starts. That's not bad. You still may want to skip Syndergaard in FantasyScore until he works out the road kinks.

New York Mets C Travis d'Arnaud (elbow) has not yet been cleared to resume baseball activities, according to general manager Sandy Alderson. He continues to wear a protective brace for much of the day and is undergoing physical therapy to address the mobility of the elbow in both directions.
Fantasy Tip: Kevin Plawecki ($2,600, 5.2% of cap) will continue to be the primary starter behind the plate while d'Arnaud is sidelined, with Johnny Monell ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) backing him up and playing once or twice a week. Neither player is a great FantasyScore option.
Fri, 03 Jul 2015 16:05:26 -0700
New York Mets OF Michael Cuddyer (knee) feels "a little bit better" and may be available to pinch hit Friday, July 3, according to manager Terry Collins. Collins added Cuddyer will take batting practice to see how he feels.
Fantasy Tip: John Mayberry Jr. ($1,900, 3.8% of cap) draws into the lineup against Los Angeles Dodgers SP Clayton Kershaw in Cuddyer's ($3,500, 7.0% of cap) absence. Mayberry isn't worth the risk facing Kershaw at FantasyScore Friday, though. Continue to check back for updates on Cuddyer's progress.
