Fantasy Tip: Tanaka ($7,500, 15.0% of cap) struggled with his control in his first two outings, but he looked like an ace-caliber pitcher Saturday. That being said, it may be best to wait until Tanaka has another strong outing under his belt before paying his hefty salary at FantasyScore.

Fantasy Tip: Chris Young ($2,200, 4.4% of your cap) has had a solid start to the season with a .292-2-4 line in 24 at-bats. He's a late plug-and-play option on FantasyScore, but he's facing a hot starter in Tampa Bay Rays SP Jake Odorizzi.

Fantasy Tip: Rodriguez ($2,600, 5.2% of cap) was a bit of an unknown heading into the season after being suspended last year, but he already has four home runs and is off to a strong start. Whether his body holds up remains to be seen, but for now, he is a steal at FantasyScore.

Fantasy Tip: Gardner ($3,300, 6.6% of cap) hasn't played since Monday with a bruised wrist. It'd probably be a smart move to avoid Gardner for the rest of the weekend to let him recover from his wrist ailment. He'd also be facing a hot pitcher in Jake Odorizzi from the Tampa Bay Rays tomorrow, if he returns.

New York Yankees OF Brett Gardner (wrist) remains out of the starting lineup Friday, April 17. OF Chris Young is starting in left field in his place yet again and hitting eighth in the batting order against Tampa Bay Rays SP Nathan Karns.
Fantasy Tip: Young ($2,200, 4.4% of cap) has two home runs and a .318 average (7-for-22) to start the season. He's typically an all-or-nothing type of player with plenty of power, but he's a dice roll at FantasyScore, especially hitting at the bottom of the lineup.

Fantasy Tip: Gardner ($3,000, 6.6% of cap) could return to the team's lineup Friday evening after an off day Thursday. Check to make sure he's in there before running with him at FantasyScore, though. If he's starting, he'd be facing Tampa Bay Rays starter Nathan Karns, which is a good matchup.

Fantasy Tip: Eovaldi crushed fantasy owners in rotisserie formats in the WHIP category, but his nine punchouts were very pleasing to FantasyScore players at just $4,100 (or 8.2% of cap). His next probable start is set for April 21 in Detroit, so you might want to avoid against a solid hitting club on the road.
Wed, 15 Apr 2015 21:11:13 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Capuano is making his way back from a strained right quadriceps. FantasyScore need not bother with Capuano until he can officially return and knock off the rust in at least a start or two.
Wed, 15 Apr 2015 21:10:43 -0700
Fantasy Tip: McCann had a pair of multi-hit games over the weekend against Boston, but he has struggled overall. He has at least one strikeout in five of his six games this season, whiffing six times in 22 at-bats. At $4,200 (or 8.4% of cap) you can do a little better than McCann in FantasyScore.

New York Yankees RP Dellin Betances has walked six hitters in his first 3 1/3 innings this year, and he did not walk more than seven hitters in any month in his remarkable 2014 season. The Yankees could consider sending Betances down to get things right in the minors, but general manager Brian Cashman said the team hasn't discussed it yet.
Fantasy Tip: Betances is clearly on the outside looking in on the save's picture in New York after Andrew Miller has successfully locked down both of his save opportunities. Joe Girardi hasn't anointed Miller as the sole closer yet, though, so Betances isn't totally out of the race yet. However, he'll need to make mechanical adjustments quickly to avoid a demotion. You may want to consider benching Betances in your leagues for the time being.

New York Yankees OF Brett Gardner (wrist) remains out of the starting lineup Wednesday, April 15. OF Chris Young is starting in left field and hitting eighth in the batting order against Baltimore Orioles SP Bud Norris.
Fantasy Tip: Gardner could return to the lineup later this week if he can swing a bat. Young ($2,200, 4.4% of cap) has appeared in each of the team's last seven games, and he's hitting .333 with two homers in the early going. Young isn't the biggest fantasy name out there, but while he's seeing consistent playing time, he's worth a look as a cheap FantasyScore option against Norris in a hitter's park.
Tue, 14 Apr 2015 20:06:26 -0700
Fantasy Tip: FantasyScore owners would be wise to avoid Gardner until he can officially return and prove his health in a full game without any setbacks. He is unlikely to play until Friday at the earliest, so Chris Young ($2,200; 4.4% of cap) figures to be the biggest beneficiary of at-bats.
Tue, 14 Apr 2015 14:36:06 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Miller had a five-out save last night against the Baltimore Orioles, and he's clearly in the lead for save chances over Dellin Betances, who had a rough spring and has carried it over into the regular season. Both Yanks relievers should be owned in all fantasy leagues.
Tue, 14 Apr 2015 14:34:00 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Stay away from Gardner ($3,300, 6.6% of cap) for the rest of the week at FantasyScore. Chris Young ($2,200, 4.4% of cap) is starting again Tuesday night, but he's on the low end of the outfield fantasy spectrum for daily gamers.
Tue, 14 Apr 2015 13:06:50 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Miller and Dellin Betances have been going back and forth for save opportunities. Betances has struggled with his command a little bit, but Yankees manager Joe Girardi has not committed either way. Keep an eye on how this situation works out.
