New York Yankees SP Nathan Eovaldi pitched six scoreless innings against the Toronto Blue Jays Tuesday, May 24, to pick up his fifth win of the season. He allowed two hits during the game, while striking out five batters and walking three.
Fantasy Tip: Eovaldi has pitched well recently and has allowed only six runs over his last four starts. He is scheduled to face the Tampa Bay Rays in his next start and should be a decent starting option in most fantasy leagues.

Fantasy Tip: Beltran has been on a hot streak recently with 11 hits and 10 RBI over his last six games. Beltran will continue to be an everyday player for the Yankees and should be a starting option in all fantasy leagues.

Fantasy Tip: Romine isn't a very attractive catching option in daily leagues, especially hitting at the very bottom of the batting order. He's hitting .250 and has no home runs and three RBI in 40 at-bats as the Yankees backup catcher.

Fantasy Tip: It could only be a couple of games before he's ready to return. He was struggling before he got hurt so give him a couple of days upon returning before putting him into lineups.

Fantasy Tip: Teixeira has just one hit in his last 21 at-bats, and he is hitting .193 for the year. Even if he isn't injured, he is tough to justify owning outside of AL-only formats.

New York Yankees SP Michael Pineda won for the first time since his first start of the year, allowing three runs on six hits while walking one and striking out six over six innings against the Oakland Athletics Sunday, May 22.
Fantasy Tip: Consistency has been a major issue for Pineda, but his stuff is excellent, and he has 56 strikeouts in 49 2/3 innings. He is worth owning in mixed leagues, but you need to pick and choose when you start him.

Fantasy Tip: Severino's first full season has been a rough one, but after the upside he showed last year, he is worth stashing to see if he can return to form.

Fantasy Tip: Tanaka is 2-0 with a 3.24 ERA, a 1.05 WHIP and an 8.07 K/9. It's a pretty decent line, but it was just his second start this season in which he allowed one or fewer earned runs. He's a decent SP2 in fantasy but not much more. He's worth consideration in most matchups.

Fantasy Tip: Castro has five homers and 17 RBI on the season, and he remains a midrange option at second in fantasy.

New York Yankees C Brian McCann, OF Brett Gardner and SS Did Gregarious are not in the starting lineup against Oakland Athletics SP Sean Manaea Saturday, May 21. OF Aaron Hicks will bat sixth and play left field, 2B/OF Rob Refsnyder will play right field and bat seventh and C Austin Romine will start behind the plate and bat eighth. In addition, 3B Chase Headley is back in the starting lineup to play the hot corner and will bat fifth, while INF Ronald Torreyes bats ninth and plays shortstop.
Fantasy Tip: Of the replacements, Refsnyder is the player with the most offensive upside for DFS purposes. The 25-year-old hit .302 with two home runs and five RBI in 43 at-bats last season and was hitting .293 through 34 games for Class AAA Scranton/Wilkes-Barre this year.

New York Yankees SP CC Sabathia allowed one run on three hits in six innings against the Oakland Athletics Friday, May 20, to pick up his third win of the season. He struck out eight batters and walked one during the game. Sabathia became the eight player in the modern era to pick up at least 100 wins with two different teams.
Fantasy Tip: Sabathia pitched well after returning from injury and has allowed only one earned run in two starts this month. He is scheduled to face the Toronto Blue Jays in his next start, which makes him a risky option for owners since Toronto has a solid offense.
Sat, 21 May 2016 05:07:54 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Beltran has picked up at least one hit in five of his last six games and has 10 RBI during that span. Beltran will be in the starting lineup most days and should be a fine starting option in fantasy leagues.

New York Yankees DH Alex Rodriguez (hamstring) isn't expected to be activated from the disabled list until next week, according to a clubhouse source. He practiced running the bases Friday, May 20, but is unlikely to resume playing before the club begins a homestand against the Toronto Blue Jays Tuesday, May 24.
Fantasy Tip: Rodriguez is batting just .194 with five home runs and 12 RBI through 20 games this year. The 40-year-old veteran is not worth stashing outside of AL-only and deep mixed fantasy leagues and should be avoided in DFS until he shows signs of turning things around offensively.

New York Yankees 1B Mark Teixeira is out of the lineup for the second straight day Friday, May 20. 2B Dustin Ackley is starting at first base again and is batting seventh against Oakland Athletics SP Sonny Gray.
Fantasy Tip: There haven't been any indications that Teixeira is hurt, but his putrid .203/.307/.301 line has earned him a spot on the bench for the time being. Despite his 31 home runs last year, Tex looks extremely overmatched this year and isn't worth keeping around in shallow leagues. You should've already been benching him for better options in other deeper leagues. Ackley is hitting .152 (7-for-46) with no home runs and is a desperation flier in daily leagues tonight.
Fri, 20 May 2016 05:24:21 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Sabathia, who is 2-2 with a 3.81 earned run average, will seek his 100th career victory. He may be worth a flyer in daily leagues for this, but otherwise Sabathia's pure value is in AL-only formats and deep mixed leagues.
