New York Yankees OF Carlos Beltran (hamstring) will miss at least two games after an MRI came back "clean" on his tight hamstring. Beltran leads the Yankees in home runs (19), RBI (53) and OPS (.906). His availability against the San Diego Padres without the designated hitter this weekend puts his availability in question there, too. The Yankees are not expected to put Beltran on the disabled list, though. New York isn't expected to call up OF Aaron Judge, who has seven home runs in his last 10 games with Class AAA Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
Fantasy Tip: Beltran is having a fantastic season in the Bronx, but at his age (39), he may need extra time to heal, and the Yanks will certainly be cautious with him. Whenever he's ready to return, though, get him back into all starting lineups. Aaron Hicks, who is hitting just .206 with three homers and 15 RBI, benefits the most in right field with Beltran dinged up.

New York Yankees OF Carlos Beltran (hamstring) and 1B Mark Teixeira are not in the starting lineup Wednesday, June 29. OF Aaron Hicks is starting in right field and is hitting eighth, while 2B Rob Refsnyder is at first base and is batting ninth against Texas Rangers SP Nick Martinez.
Fantasy Tip: Beltran tweaked his hammy last night and is day-to-day, so keep an eye on when he might return. He's been the Yankees' best hitter this year and should be in all starting lineups when he's back in there. Both Hicks and Refsnyder won't do much for DFS owners hitting that low in the batting order. Look elsewhere.

Texas Rangers 3B Adrian Beltre went 3-for-5, including a two-run home run and an RBI single, and scored twice versus the New York Yankees on Tuesday, June 28. Beltre also delivered the tying and go-ahead runs late in the ninth inning of a comeback win in the opener of this four-game series on Monday, June 27.
Fantasy Tip: The homer was his first since June 3 and the 11th of the season. Since returning from a seven-game absence due to a hamstring strain on June 16, Beltre is batting .347 with 11 RBI and 11 runs scored. The power has obviously been a bit lacking for the 37-year-old, but the .285 average and 51 RBI is the kind of production owners want from their fantasy third basemen. He's a solid low-tier starting option at the hot corner and should be trusted as a regular starter in most leagues.

Fantasy Tip: Avoid Beltran in all fantasy leagues which allow daily moves and DFS play until he can officially return and prove his health in a full game without any setbacks.

Fantasy Tip: Owners will need to monitor the situation to see if Beltran will be sidelined for a significant amount of time. Aaron Hicks could join the starting lineup if Beltran only misses a few days, but the team could recall prospect Aaron Judge if the injury is serious.

Fantasy Tip: Beltran has been by far the Yankees' best hitter this year, batting .294/.333/.569 with 19 homers and 53 RBI heading into the game Tuesday. Check back for updates on how serious his injury and make plans to be without him for an extended time given his age. The Yanks may be compelled to recall outfield prospect Aaron Judge if Beltran's injury is serious. Stay tuned.

Fantasy Tip: McCann, a lefty, is sitting on the bench because Hamels is a lefty as well. Sit McCann on your bench if you can. As for Romine, he is worth a start in daily leagues because of his five hits, two doubles, and seven runs batted in over the last seven games.

Fantasy Tip: This is a traditional lefty vs. lefty absence, so Gardner should be back in the lineup the next time a righty pitches. Hicks (.212-3-15) carries no fantasy value.

Fantasy Tip: Beltran was average in April and pretty good in May, but he has been downright ridiculous in June, batting .358 with seven homers, 22 RBI and 15 runs scored. This month's surge has left 39-year-old with a .294 average, 19 home runs, 53 RBI and 44 runs scored - numbers good enough to make him a top-20 outfielder in fantasy.

New York Yankees 1B Mark Teixeira flashed vintage form with his first multi-hit game in over a month against the Texas Rangers on Monday, June 27, going 3-for-5 with a solo home run and two runs scored in his third game back since coming off the disabled list.
Fantasy Tip: Well, well, well … look who appears to be feeling better now. Teixeira left the yard for the first time since May 22 with a solo shot in Sunday's home loss to the Minnesota Twins, then posted his first multi-hit game since May 16 just over 24 hours later. It's still far too early to say the 36-year-old is ready to be inserted back into the majority of fantasy lineups, but at least he's giving owners a reason to consider it.

New York Yankees 3B Alex Rodriguez won't play against a lot of right-handed pitchers in the short term, as manager Joe Girardi said he's going to "do something different" with his use of Rodriguez. Rodriguez's OPS against right-handers is just .584, while his OPS against lefties is .837. He'll start against a lefty Tuesday, June 28, but after that it's unknown how much playing time he'll receive.
Fantasy Tip: A-Rod is hitting just .223 on the season with eight home runs and 26 RBI. Despite only two homers in June he's hitting .282 (22-for-78), but he hasn't produced for fantasy owners like he did in a surprise bounceback 2015 season. With more time on the bench in the short term, he's not worth keeping around in shallower mixed formats.

New York Yankees 3B Alex Rodriguez is not in the starting lineup against Texas Rangers SP Chi Chi Rodriguez Monday, June 27. OF Carlos Beltran will serve as the designated hitter, while OF Aaron Hicks will start in right field and is batting ninth.
Fantasy Tip: Hicks has been more productive in June and has at least one hit in six of his last 10 games. He is still hitting .219 on the season, and owners should have more attractive options available in their leagues.

New York Yankees 1B Mark Teixeira went 1-for-3 with a solo home run - one of only two hits the Yankees could muster on Sunday, June 26, against the Minnesota Twins - in his second game since coming off the disabled list on Saturday, June 25, due to a cartilage tear in his right knee.
Fantasy Tip: The home run was his first since April 13, although the fact he has missed 24 games already has something to do with that. While Teixeira may be something of a sentimental choice, owners are advised to avoid using him until he can lift his average (.179) a bit or post his first multi-hit game in over since the middle of May.

New York Yankees SP Michael Pineda settled for his second no-decision in as many starts against the Minnesota Twins on Saturday, June 25, yielding only a solo homer among the two hits he allowed over six innings while striking out eight.
Fantasy Tip: Pineda was likely dropped in a lot of leagues a while ago as his ERA soared to 6.92 at the end of May, but he's been able to bring that number down to 5.51 thanks to five starts in June during which he is 1-1 with a 3.00 ERA. He has at least eight strikeouts in four of those outings, so he's not exactly pitching to contact. However, owners probably need to avoid him for now, or at least until after his next start against the Texas Rangers on Thursday.

Fantasy Tip: Davis had a .214 average with one RBI during his limited playing time with the Yankees, but it is not known if another team will add him. Owners in all leagues can drop Davis if they have him.
