Fantasy Tip: The 34-year-old Pagan is batting .282 with three home runs, 22 RBI and seven steals through 44 games and would only command a short-term contract offer because of his age and injury history. However, the Giants' pursuit of Pagan could end if the club acquires an outfielder or two before this year's trade deadline.

Fantasy Tip: Cain probably will be able to return to the starting rotation after the All-Star break and should make at least one rehab start. He has struggled this season and should not be a great fantasy option once he is activated from the disabled list.

Fantasy Tip: Since being activated from the disabled list, Pagan is 11-for-36 (.306) with a home run, nine RBI, six runs scored and a pair of steals. He's not a dynamic offensive option in any one area, but he can fill a starting slot in deeper mixed setups.

Fantasy Tip: After a middling month of May (.280-2-8), Belt has been a steady producer in June, hitting safely in 17 of his 19 starts and going for 25-for-73 (.343) with five home runs and 13 RBI. Belt is a solid option in all leagues.

Fantasy Tip: Outside of a mini-hiccup against the Cardinals on June 5, Peavy has been in a real groove of late with five quality starts in his last six outings to drop his ERA from an unsightly 8.21 all the way down to 5.22. He's worth owning in deeper mixed leagues now and is becoming a possible addition even in standard setups.

Fantasy Tip: Brown is hitting .308 with two doubles and one RBI over the last seven days. He is not a great fantasy option but should have value in two-catcher leagues.

Fantasy Tip: Bruce has a .281-16-55 line, and one might think that his numbers are heavily skewed for Great American Ball Park's friendly confines to hitters. The power is there with 10 homers, but he's hitting .320 on the road. He has hit .262 or better just twice in his career, but his .302 BABIP suggests that it could be sustainable. Bruce is a great third outfielder, and a deal shouldn't hurt him too much.

San Francisco Giants OF Mac Williamson recorded the first three-hit day of his career Thursday, June 23, opposite the Pittsburgh Pirates. He went 3-for-4 on the day, including blasting his second home run of the season, finishing with one run scored and two RBI.
Fantasy Tip: In a rarity, Williamson got to hit in the No. 3 hole and the second-year outfielder responded with the best game of his still-young career. At the same time, he had three hits all month entering this afternoon's affair, so owners shouldn't be rushing to the waiver wire after this one performance. For the year, Williamson has a .243/.317/.432 line in limited action.

San Francisco Giants SP Albert Suarez improved his record to 3-1 after defeating the Pittsburgh Pirates in his start Thursday, June 23. Making his fourth career start, the rookie right-hander went five innings, yielding three runs (two earned) on four hits and two walks. He also struck out six.
Fantasy Tip: Suarez has pitched past the fifth inning only once thus far in four tries, but he's contributed some decent work as well. As a result, owners in NL-only leagues seeking out a starting pitcher might want to give him a look, as he could end up being a nice, cheap source for wins. Plus, he should be able to pitch deeper into games as he gains more experience in the majors.

San Francisco Giants RP Sergio Romo (elbow) is scheduled to complete back-to-back outings Thursday, June 23, for Class AAA Sacramento. The team will then decide if he should make one more appearance or activate him this weekend.
Fantasy Tip: Romo has been sidelined since the first week of the season, but it looks like the 33-year-old is nearing his return to the Giants. Considering he's the club's go-to setup man, owners should be rushing to the waiver wire for his services if he's out there, for those who are in leagues that score holds. Romo is as effective a late-inning reliever as there is in the National League.

San Francisco Giants 1B Brandon Belt, OF Angel Pagan and OF Gregor Blanco are out of the lineup Thursday, June 23. OF Mac Williamson is hitting third, C Trevor Brown hits fifth and OF Jarrett Parker hits seventh.
Fantasy Tip: Williamson is hitting .182 on the year, but he's a stud of a basement play today hitting ahead of Buster Posey, who shifted to first base. Brown is hitting .238 this month, but he has some upside for his place in the lineup against Jonathon Niese. Parker doesn't deserve much consideration against the lefty.

San Francisco Giants OF Mac Williamson, recalled from Class AAA Sacramento this week when 3B Matt Duffy (Achilles') hit the 15-day disabled list, went 1-for-2 with three walks and a strikeout Wednesday, June 22, against the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Fantasy Tip: Williamson might see an occasional start, but he is only worth a look in the deepest of NL fantasy leagues and as a low-priced salary saver in DFS play when he starts.
Wed, 22 Jun 2016 21:51:15 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Pena will see occasional starts at the hot corner with Matt Duffy on the shelf, and he isn't a bad short-term option in deeper NL-only fantasy leagues. However, Conor Gillaspie is still expected to see more playing time at third than Pena. He is also a solid low-priced add in DFS play when he draws into the starting nine.

San Francisco Giants SP Jeff Samardzija was hammered for six earned runs, six hits and two walks in just three innings in a no-decision Wednesday, June 22, against the Pittsburgh Pirates. It matched the shortest outing of Samardzija's career.
Fantasy Tip: Samardzija had a complete game victory last time out, and he still has a 3.59 ERA and 1.16 WHIP despite the ugly outing Wednesday. He remains a must-start fantasy option in all formats and DFS play despite the egg laying.
Wed, 22 Jun 2016 12:41:37 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Williamson enters flier territory for daily contests Wednesday, but at this point, he doesn't warrant attention in seasonal leagues. Blanco has been seeing more at-bats of late with Hunter Pence out, and Blanco is a low-end option in cavernous mixed and NL-only formats because of his playing time. Just don't overvalue Blanco, as his .681 OPS in June leaves a lot to be desired.
