Fantasy Tip: Bruce has a .281-16-55 line, and one might think that his numbers are heavily skewed for Great American Ball Park's friendly confines to hitters. The power is there with 10 homers, but he's hitting .320 on the road. He has hit .262 or better just twice in his career, but his .302 BABIP suggests that it could be sustainable. Bruce is a great third outfielder, and a deal shouldn't hurt him too much.

San Francisco Giants OF Mac Williamson recorded the first three-hit day of his career Thursday, June 23, opposite the Pittsburgh Pirates. He went 3-for-4 on the day, including blasting his second home run of the season, finishing with one run scored and two RBI.
Fantasy Tip: In a rarity, Williamson got to hit in the No. 3 hole and the second-year outfielder responded with the best game of his still-young career. At the same time, he had three hits all month entering this afternoon's affair, so owners shouldn't be rushing to the waiver wire after this one performance. For the year, Williamson has a .243/.317/.432 line in limited action.

San Francisco Giants SP Albert Suarez improved his record to 3-1 after defeating the Pittsburgh Pirates in his start Thursday, June 23. Making his fourth career start, the rookie right-hander went five innings, yielding three runs (two earned) on four hits and two walks. He also struck out six.
Fantasy Tip: Suarez has pitched past the fifth inning only once thus far in four tries, but he's contributed some decent work as well. As a result, owners in NL-only leagues seeking out a starting pitcher might want to give him a look, as he could end up being a nice, cheap source for wins. Plus, he should be able to pitch deeper into games as he gains more experience in the majors.

San Francisco Giants RP Sergio Romo (elbow) is scheduled to complete back-to-back outings Thursday, June 23, for Class AAA Sacramento. The team will then decide if he should make one more appearance or activate him this weekend.
Fantasy Tip: Romo has been sidelined since the first week of the season, but it looks like the 33-year-old is nearing his return to the Giants. Considering he's the club's go-to setup man, owners should be rushing to the waiver wire for his services if he's out there, for those who are in leagues that score holds. Romo is as effective a late-inning reliever as there is in the National League.

San Francisco Giants 1B Brandon Belt, OF Angel Pagan and OF Gregor Blanco are out of the lineup Thursday, June 23. OF Mac Williamson is hitting third, C Trevor Brown hits fifth and OF Jarrett Parker hits seventh.
Fantasy Tip: Williamson is hitting .182 on the year, but he's a stud of a basement play today hitting ahead of Buster Posey, who shifted to first base. Brown is hitting .238 this month, but he has some upside for his place in the lineup against Jonathon Niese. Parker doesn't deserve much consideration against the lefty.

San Francisco Giants OF Mac Williamson, recalled from Class AAA Sacramento this week when 3B Matt Duffy (Achilles') hit the 15-day disabled list, went 1-for-2 with three walks and a strikeout Wednesday, June 22, against the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Fantasy Tip: Williamson might see an occasional start, but he is only worth a look in the deepest of NL fantasy leagues and as a low-priced salary saver in DFS play when he starts.

Fantasy Tip: Pena will see occasional starts at the hot corner with Matt Duffy on the shelf, and he isn't a bad short-term option in deeper NL-only fantasy leagues. However, Conor Gillaspie is still expected to see more playing time at third than Pena. He is also a solid low-priced add in DFS play when he draws into the starting nine.

San Francisco Giants SP Jeff Samardzija was hammered for six earned runs, six hits and two walks in just three innings in a no-decision Wednesday, June 22, against the Pittsburgh Pirates. It matched the shortest outing of Samardzija's career.
Fantasy Tip: Samardzija had a complete game victory last time out, and he still has a 3.59 ERA and 1.16 WHIP despite the ugly outing Wednesday. He remains a must-start fantasy option in all formats and DFS play despite the egg laying.

Fantasy Tip: Williamson enters flier territory for daily contests Wednesday, but at this point, he doesn't warrant attention in seasonal leagues. Blanco has been seeing more at-bats of late with Hunter Pence out, and Blanco is a low-end option in cavernous mixed and NL-only formats because of his playing time. Just don't overvalue Blanco, as his .681 OPS in June leaves a lot to be desired.
Tue, 21 Jun 2016 20:50:35 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Blanco has heated up with the weather, going 13-for-30 (.433) with two doubles, four RBIs and seven runs scored over the past eight outings to raise his batting average from .231 to .269 just since June 12. He has re-emerged as a must-start in all NL-only fantasy leagues and some deeper mixed formats. He is also a strong mid-tier DFS play while running hot.
Tue, 21 Jun 2016 20:50:04 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Span is a streaky hitter, and lately he has been boom or bust. He has four multi-hit games over his past 12 outings, but he also gone went hitless in six games during the span. He remains useful in most NL-only fantasy leagues and deeper mixed formats despite the lack of consistency.

San Francisco Giants 3B Conor Gillaspie went 4-for-5 with a solo home run, two runs scored and four RBIs Tuesday, June 21, against the Pittsburgh Pirates. It wasn't all great, as he did make a throwing error in the game. He is expected to see more playing time with 3B Matt Duffy (Achilles') on the 15-day disabled list.
Fantasy Tip: It was his first multi-hit game of the season, so don't get carried away and add him. His at-bats are rather sporadic, although he has six RBIs over his past two games and might have bought himself another start with this gem. Even with Duffy on the shelf, Gillaspie's fantasy appeal is limited to the very deepest of NL-only leagues and DFS play.

San Francisco Giants OF Angel Pagan had just one hit in four at-bats Tuesday, June 21, against the Pittsburgh Pirates, but it was a big one. He belted a grand slam in a seven-run fourth inning to give SP Johnny Cueto more than enough support.
Fantasy Tip: Pagan is healthy again and playing regularly. He has managed six RBIs in seven games since returning from the 15-day disabled list June 14, hitting safely in five games. He is once again a solid fantasy play in NL-only fantasy leagues and some deeper mixed formats and DFS play.

San Francisco Giants SP Johnny Cueto allowed just one earned run, four hits and a walk over 6 2/3 innings in a victory Tuesday, June 21, against the Pittsburgh Pirates. He also struck out six batters in the 105-pitch quality start.
Fantasy Tip: Cueto improved to 7-0 in 10 starts against the Pirates since the start of the 2013 season, with a bulk of that work coming when he was a member of the Cincinnati Reds. He also moves to 5-0 at PNC Park during the span. Jot that down, or make a mental note, for the next time the Giants visit the Steel City in 2017.

San Francisco Giants INF Kelby Tomlinson (thumb) was expected to have the splint removed from his left thumb Tuesday, June 21. Manager Bruce Bochy said Tomlinson is expected to resume baseball activities when the team returns to San Francisco this weekend.
Fantasy Tip: Tomlinson could be seeing meaningful playing time right now with Matt Duffy on the shelf, but he is still a ways off from a return. When healthy he is only worth a look in deeper NL-only fantasy play and DFS as a salary saver.
