Fantasy Tip: Franklin is 2-for-3 (.667) with three RBI against lefties this season, which isn't enough of a sample size to warrant a play against David Price today.

Fantasy Tip: He has the misfortune of facing David Price today, but he's hitting .360 with three homers against lefties this season. He's a low-end consideration.

Fantasy Tip: Jennings is hitting .261 this month, which is a step above his .202 average for the season. However, he's facing David Price today. He has upside at cleanup, but it's a risk. Beckham isn't worth consideration.

Tampa Bay Rays SP Matt Moore is scheduled to face the Boston Red Sox Wednesday, June 29. He is 3-4 with a 5.40 ERA in eight career appearances (seven starts) against Boston. He is 1-2 with a 6.35 ERA in three starts against the Red Sox at Tropicana Field.
Fantasy Tip: Moore should be avoided in fantasy leagues which permit daily transactions and in DFS play, as he just doesn't seem to match up well against the BoSox.

Fantasy Tip: Cobb continues to make his way back from Tommy John surgery. It's uncertain if he will be able to make it all the way back to the big club this season. He might be worth grabbing in fantasy leagues later in the season if he makes it all the way back.

Fantasy Tip: Dickerson appears likely to avoid the 15-day disabled list, but fantasy owners and DFS players will want to avoid him until he can officially return and prove his health in a full game without any setbacks.

Tampa Bay Rays SP Chris Archer allowed four earned runs, seven hits and four walks with nine strikeouts over 6 1/3 innings in a loss Tuesday, June 28, against the Boston Red Sox. The setback was his league-leading 11th loss of the season.
Fantasy Tip: Archer also slipped to 1-8 in his career against the Red Sox, his most losses against any opponent. He is still posting a high rate of strikeouts, but the losses are killing fantasy owners.

Tampa Bay Rays OF Steven Souza (hamstring) took batting practice and ran Tuesday, June 28, but he's not scheduled for a rehab assignment yet. OF Brandon Guyer (hamstring) is playing another rehab game Tuesday but isn't likely to come off the disabled list Wednesday, June 29.
Fantasy Tip: Guyer is obviously closer to a return than Souza, but both could be back by this weekend. Guyer was successful hitting leadoff in his limited opportunities there before his injury and is useful for his modest contributions with the stick in deep mixed and AL-only leagues if he's playing every day. Souza whiffs often but has an intriguing power-speed combination for those in deep mixed affairs. Check to see if either are available on the waiver wire now.

Tampa Bay Rays manager Kevin Cash said the team will "play matchup game, piecing it together" in the ninth inning with RP Alex Colome (biceps) injured. RPs Erasmo Ramirez, Matt Andriese and Xavier Cedeno are all likely to figure in.
Fantasy Tip: Colome's injury isn't serious and he could be back as soon as July 4, so don't invest heavily in Tampa's ninth-inning picture without him in the short term. Ramirez is likely your best bet if you're desperate for saves in the meantime, but temper your expectations.

Fantasy Tip: Cobb is worth stashing in all seasonal leagues, as he could approach 10 starts once healthy and back with the Rays. He'll be a risky option initially, but there is upside for a huge late-season boost for your pitching staff. Through his past 49 starts, Cobb has a 2.82 ERA with a 8.2 K/9. Stay tuned for updates.

Tampa Bay Rays RP Alex Colome (biceps) was placed on the disabled list with biceps tendinitis Tuesday, June 28. The transaction is retroactive to Sunday, June 19, and Colome expects to be ready to return from the disabled list when eligible Monday, July 4.
Fantasy Tip: This appears to be a road bump and not a detour for Colome owners. He has emerged as a solid closer for fantasy clubs with 19 saves, a 1.76 ERA and 11.2 K/9. Stash him in all seasonal leagues. Look for Erasmo Ramirez or Xavier Cedeno to step in for any save chances with Colome out. Ramirez is the better fantasy bet.

Tampa Bay Rays OF Corey Dickerson (thumb) will miss another game Tuesday, June 28, due to a sore left thumb. 2B Nick Franklin will take Dickerson's designated hitter spot and bat eighth against Boston Red Sox SP Rick Porcello.
Fantasy Tip: Dickerson shouldn't need the DL, but fantasy owners will miss his power production. Although he has a .209 batting average, Dickerson does have 13 home runs this season. Bench him for the time being until this is resolved. Franklin went 3-for-5 in the Monday, June 27, game and might be worth a DFS start.

Tampa Bay Rays SP Chris Archer is scheduled to start Tuesday, June 28, against the Boston Red Sox. He leads the majors with 10 losses, and he is 1-7 with a 5.67 ERA in 12 career starts against the Red Sox, his most losses against any opponent.
Fantasy Tip: Archer should be avoided in fantasy leagues which permit daily transactions and DFS play, as he has a terrible matchup in his one.
Mon, 27 Jun 2016 21:12:16 -0700
Fantasy Tip: It's uncertain how much longer Dickerson will be sidelined, but he is making some progress. When healthy he is only worth a look in AL play and DFS as a salary saver option.
Mon, 27 Jun 2016 21:11:42 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Arcia has back-to-back three-hit games, as he is enjoying his time with the Rays so far. He is worth scooping up in AL-only fantasy leagues if he is still available on the waiver wire.
