Fantasy Tip: Griffin pitched well prior to hitting the disabled list with shoulder stiffness, but he couldn't have picked a tougher opponent to return against. Griffin has clear AL-only and some deeper mixed value, but it might be prudent to keep him in reserve for his first start back.

Fantasy Tip: Bush, who'd allowed no runs and just one hit in the entire month of June entering play on Friday, served up a game-tying home run to Mookie Betts and then couldn't keep the Red Sox from taking the lead. It's a disappointing performance from Bush, who got the call after Jake Diekman struggled (and with Sam Dyson resting), but he'll remain one of Texas' key setup men.

Texas Rangers RP Sam Dyson was held out of action by manager Jeff Banister on Friday, June 24, to give the closer some extra rest following a day off. The Rangers blew a three-run lead in the ninth and lost, 8-7.
Fantasy Tip: On one hand it makes sense -- Dyson's 39 appearances are tied for the most in baseball -- but Jake Diekman and Matt Bush couldn't finish the job, ending Texas' 24-game winning streak when leading by multiple runs at any point in a game. Still, in the long run this probably strengthens Dyson's hold on the job.

Fantasy Tip: Wilson is hitting only .143 with two RBI over the last seven days and is not a great option for most fantasy owners.

Fantasy Tip: Rua has gone hitless in his last six at-bats but does have a .295 batting average in June. He will have a tough matchup Friday but should be an attractive option in daily fantasy leagues because he hits .396 against left-handed pitchers.

Fantasy Tip: Since "officially" ascending to the closer's role on May 18, Dyson has gone a perfect 12-for-12 in save opportunities while allowing four runs in 18 1/3 innings, good for a 1.96 ERA to go with a 0.82 WHIP. As nasty as Matt Bush and Jake Diekman have been in setup roles, Dyson has been lights out in the ninth. He has an MLB-best nine saves in June and shows no signs of slowing down.

Fantasy Tip: Bush has made nine appearances in June, covering 7 2/3 innings, during which he has allowed ONE hit and no runs while striking out 10. He also has six holds and a win in that time as the Rangers continue to use him in high-leverage situations. Bush isn't working enough to hold value in standard leagues, but he could be of use in AL-only formats and those that count holds.

Fantasy Tip: In five June starts, this is Hamels' line: 34 2/3 IP, 22 H, 7 ER, 14 BB, 28 K's. That's good for a 3-0 record, 1.82 ERA and 1.04 WHIP. He has been extremely consistent, and at 8-1 with 95 K's in 96 2/3 innings for the season, Hamels is a must-start in all leagues.

Texas Rangers SP Yu Darvish (shoulder) could throw a bullpen session this weekend but is unlikely to throw a simulated game or pitch in a rehab game for at least another week, according to pitching coach Doug Brocail.
Fantasy Tip: Darvish should continue to be stashed in all fantasy formats even though no official timetable has been established for his return. Expect the club to err on the side of caution when it comes to his rehab, especially since he's not too far removed from Tommy John surgery.

Fantasy Tip: Ouch, crucial blow for the Rangers, as the veteran Lewis has simply been fantastic this season. He left his start early on Tuesday night due to cramping in his right triceps, and the injury has turned out to be more serious than initially thought. Owners might want to look at A.J. Griffin (shoulder), as he's set to return from injury soon and will undoubtedly go back into the rotation with the Rangers' handful of injuries at the moment. Griffin was very solid this year before landing on the disabled list in the first half of May.

Fantasy Tip: Lewis has been one of the surprise stories of the 2016 season, being 6-1 with a shiny 3.21 ERA and a shockingly good 1.02 WHIP. However, he had to leave his last start early due to cramping in his right triceps, so it looks like this will cost him at least one start, if not more. More information should be available Thursday concerning Lewis' upcoming assignment.

Texas Rangers OF Ian Desmond and 2B Jurickson Profar are not in the starting lineup against Cincinnati Reds SP Dan Straily Wednesday, June 22. OF Ryan Rua will start in center field and is batting sixth in the lineup. 1B Prince Fielder will serve as the designated hitter, while 1B Mitch Moreland will start at first base and is batting seventh.
Fantasy Tip: Rua is hitting .310 with four home runs and 10 RBI this month and is a sleeper starting candidate for owners in daily fantasy leagues. Moreland is hitting .316 with one home run and two RBI over the last seven days and should have value in some daily fantasy leagues.

Fantasy Tip: Holland's fantasy value is hanging by a thread, and he is only viable as a stash candidate in cavernous mixed and AL-only setups given his 5.20 ERA, 1.42 WHIP and 5.3 K/9 through 14 starts. Stay tuned for updates.

Texas Rangers SP Colby Lewis (arm) was roughed up for six runs over a season-low tying five innings on Tuesday, June 21, against the Cincinnati Reds before leaving with cramping in his triceps. He is expected to be evaluated Wednesday, June 22.
Fantasy Tip: Lewis, who flirted with a perfect game in his last time out, has been riding low strikeout rates and good run support for most of the season, so he was due to pick up his first loss. The injury doesn't sound too serious, however, so his owners shouldn't be too afraid of using him on the road Monday against the New York Yankees.

Texas Rangers 1B Prince Fielder will serve as the designated hitter against Cincinnati Reds SP Anthony DeSclafani Tuesday, June 21, and is batting sixth. 1B Mitch Moreland will start at first base and is batting eighth.
Fantasy Tip: Fielder has been more successful at the plate in June and has at five hits and three RBI in his last six games. Moreland is hitting .313 with one home run and two RBI over the last seven days. Both players should be decent options for owners in daily fantasy leagues.
