Toronto Blue Jays OF Kevin Pillar homered Saturday, April 30, against the Tampa Bay Rays, his first in 121 at-bats. He has four multi-hit games over his past seven outings. Pillar has flourished since being moved out of the leadoff spot. He is hitting .364 in 12 games since being moved down after hitting just .188 in 12 games at the top of the order.
Fantasy Tip: Pillar has re-emerged as a must-start in AL-only fantasy leagues and some deeper mixed formats now that he is out of the leadoff spot.

Toronto Blue Jays OF Michael Saunders worked in the leadoff spot Saturday, April 30, against the Tampa Bay Rays. He is hitting .333 in 10 games as a leadoff hitter. He replaced OF Michael Pillar, who has hit just .188 in 12 games at the top of the order, and .364 in 12 games since moving down.
Fantasy Tip: Saunders didn't fare well Saturday, but overall he has been productive at the top of Toronto's batting order. He is a sharp AL-only fantasy option and useful player in deeper mixed formats, too.

Fantasy Tip: Happ has posted a 1.87 ERA in 15 starts dating back to August. He is a must-start fantasy option in AL-only leagues and most mixed formats while running hot, and he is a tremendous DFS value.

Fantasy Tip: Martin has been battling occasional stiffness in his neck for the past week and is batting jut .150 with four RBI this season, with 31 strikeouts in 60 at-bats. Thole is 5-for-25 at the plate with a solo home run and should be viewed as nothing more than desperation cap relief for daily fantasy contests.

Fantasy Tip: Sanchez recovered from his worst outing of the year, and he has now allowed one earned run or less in four of his five starts. The 23-year-old should only improve, and he needs to be owned and starting in all formats.

Toronto Blue Jays OF Michael Saunders went 2-for-5 with two solo home runs in a 6-1 win over the Tampa Bay Rays Friday, April 29, and he is hitting .368 in nine games since being moved to the leadoff spot.
Fantasy Tip: Saunders continues to be given frequent off days after battling injuries in recent years, but as long as he is hitting atop Toronto's powerful lineup, he is solid option in daily formats when he does play.

Fantasy Tip: Martin has only eight hits in 56 at-bats (.143) with no home runs and four RBI in his first 18 games. His neck woes are likely a factor in his slow start, and he can't be trusted in any fantasy format right now. Keep him benched in deep mixed and AL-only leagues and look for better options elsewhere.

Fantasy Tip: Toronto had previously offered Encarnacion a guaranteed two-year contract with vesting options but he is hoping to land a four- or five-year deal as a free agent. Entering play Wednesday, Encarnacion was batting .282 with three home runs and 15 RBI through his first 85 at-bats this season. He should be viewed as a viable option in all fantasy formats, although his bat has cooled off somewhat in the past week.

Toronto Blue Jays OF Anthony Alford (knee), a top prospect for Toronto, returned to action for Class A Dunedin Wednesday, April 27, after suffering a right knee injury during the season opener. Alford played five innings as the designated hitter in an extended spring training game.
Fantasy Tip: Alford's season obviously got off on the wrong foot, but this youngster has plus speed and developing power that will play at the next level. Alford hit .298 with 27 stolen bases in 107 games over multiple minor league levels in 2015. He's unlikely to make a fantasy impact until next year, but keep him on your radars in dynasty/keeper leagues.

Fantasy Tip: Of all the guys who is yet to debut this season due to injury, Travis is amongst the most intriguing of them, as this is a guy that was doing very well last year in his rookie campaign before going down with injury. He's someone worth stashing as he gets closer to his return, being a regular resident in Toronto's dangerous batting order. Fortunately for the 25-year-old, no one was able to make a push for his starting job at second base. He'll carry considerable upside.
Wed, 27 Apr 2016 12:43:36 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Martin is hitting only .154 (8-for-52) with no home runs and four RBI in the early going, so you may want to keep him benched until he shows some signs of life at the plate.

Toronto Blue Jays 1B Justin Smoak is not in the starting lineup against Chicago White Sox left-handed SP Jose Quintana Wednesday, April 27. 3B Matt Dominguez is starting at first base and is hitting sixth.
Fantasy Tip: Dominguez is a career .233 hitter, but he did slug 21 home runs for the Houston Astros back in 2013. He struck out in two of his three plate appearances last night in his season debut, and he's a desperation flier in daily contests tonight.
Tue, 26 Apr 2016 22:44:15 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Dickey isn't fooling anyone with his knuckleball, as his ERA stands at a terrible 6.75. He has lost three straight decisions after winning his first start of the season April 4. Avoid him in all fantasy formats until he gets back on track.
Tue, 26 Apr 2016 22:43:10 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Saunders has hit safely in seven straight games, going 12-for-30 (.400). He is a must-start fantasy option in AL-only leagues and deeper mixed play and a solid mid-tier option in DFS.
Tue, 26 Apr 2016 13:22:39 -0700
Fantasy Tip: This is Martin's third straight absence. Daily league owners have an advantage because they can find out whether or not Martin will play. It isn't likely a major issue, but the team doesn't want it to turn into anything serious. Thole has a .308 (4-for-13) average in the last week and is a decent substitute in daily contests.
