Toronto Blue Jays SS Troy Tulowitzki is not in the starting lineup against Boston Red Sox SP Rick Porcello Saturday, May 28. 2B Darwin Barney will start at shortstop and is batting eighth in the lineup.
Fantasy Tip: Barney is hitting .311 in limited playing time this month but has gone hitless in his last six at-bats. Barney has some value in daily fantasy leagues, but owners should be able to find better starting options to use.

Toronto Blue Jays OF Jose Bautista is in the starting lineup against Boston Red Sox SP Rick Porcello Saturday, May 28, and is batting first. Bautista missed the last game because he was serving a one-game suspension.
Fantasy Tip: Bautista has recorded at least one hit in 13 of his last 14 games and has four home runs and 12 RBI during that span. Bautista should be a starting option in all leagues.

Fantasy Tip: His average is down a bit from his MVP season last year, but Donaldson is still providing excellent numbers in the other offensive categories. Expect more big nights at the plate going forward.

Fantasy Tip: Tulowitzki has missed the past two games with the injury, but he was just beginning to heat up with eight runs, three home runs, 10 RBI and a .313/.358/.604 slash line through his previous 13 games. Return him to your seasonal lineups and view him as a high-risk, high-reward option in daily contests for his first game back Friday.

Toronto Blue Jays OF Jose Bautista's one-game suspension for an on-field altercation with Texas Rangers 2B Rougned Odor Sunday, May 15, was upheld Friday, May 27. Bautista will serve the suspension in the game against the Boston Red Sox Friday.
Fantasy Tip: Avoid Bautista in daily contests Friday, and replace him in seasonal lineups where you can. And while his numbers might not jump off the page, it is tough to criticize his 30 runs, 10 home runs and 34 RBI, as it appears he is well on his way to another moster season.

Toronto Blue Jays SP J.A. Happ improved to 6-2 after beating the New York Yankees Thursday, May 26. The southpaw worked seven sharp innings, yielding only one run on three hits and three walks, while striking out five.
Fantasy Tip: Happ should be drawing some serious All-Star consideration, as this was his ninth quality start in 10 tries. He's also gone at least six innings in all but one of his assignments. The left-hander may not rack up as many strikeouts as he used to, but he's proving to be a reliable arm for fantasy teams of all formats. He'll keep claiming wins, too, being able to lean on one of the best offenses in the game.

Fantasy Tip: Bautista is in the lineup Thursday, but that could just mean it'll be a day or two for an announcement on his appeal. He's leading off against CC Sabathia today, and he's a daily consideration in a good matchup.

Toronto Blue Jays SS Troy Tulowitzki (quadriceps) remains out of the starting lineup Thursday, May 26. 2B Darwin Barney is starting at shortstop and is batting ninth against New York Yankees SP CC Sabathia.
Fantasy Tip: Tulo is still day-to-day and could return as soon as Friday. He was beginning to see consistent results at the plate, too, so make sure to get him back into all lineups when he's ready. Barney, despite a .319 average in 69 at-bats, doesn't move the fantasy needle enough to be anything more than a desperation daily pick.

Toronto Blue Jays SP Marco Estrada earned his second victory of the season on Wednesday, May 25, against the New York Yankees. Estrada, who hadn't won since April 10, allowed four hits and three runs in seven innings.
Fantasy Tip: Well, that was overdue. In the seven starts he made between his first and second victories, Estrada worked fewer than six frames just once and yielded one earned run four times. With any kind of support Estrada could have five wins by now and is doing enough with strikeouts and ratios to remain viable even without the Ws.

Toronto Blue Jays 2B Devon Travis was in the starting lineup on Wednesday, May 25, marking the first time he played in the majors since July 28, 2015. He batted eighth and went 1-for-4 with a run scored.
Fantasy Tip: Travis opened eyes with his .304-8-35 line as a rookie and could find himself at the top of the order before too long. There's a lot of upside here, making Travis someone you should stash away before someone else does.
Wed, 25 May 2016 21:39:54 -0700
Toronto Blue Jays C Russell Martin hit a pair of home runs against the New York Yankees on Wednesday, May 25. They were Martin's first two home runs of the season after he hit 23 with the Jays in 2015.
Fantasy Tip: Martin inexplicably entered play on Wednesday with one extra-base hit in 122 at-bats before finding the cheap seats twice. Maybe this will get Martin going, as the veteran has long been a consistent source of power at the position -- 17.6 HRs, 63.4 RBI over his previous five campaigns. Keep an eye on him.

Updating a previous report, Toronto Blue Jays SS Troy Tulowitzki (quadriceps) felt better than expected Wednesday, May 25, after leaving the game early with a quadriceps injury Tuesday, May 24. The Blue Jays will be cautious with him, and Tulowitzki is considered day-to-day.
Fantasy Tip: Tulowitzki was just starting to turn it around at the dish with eight runs, three home runs, 10 RBI and a .313/.358/.604 slash line through his past 13 outings, so the injury comes at an unfortunate time. Expect Ryan Goins to take care of the 6 with Tulowitzki out, but it doesn't sound like Tulowitzki will miss much time, and Goins is a low-end fantasy option in all formats. Check back for updates.
Wed, 25 May 2016 14:29:23 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Travis returned a .304/.361/.498 slash line through 238 plate appearances last season, and setting the table for a potent offense stands to make him a strong option at the keystone going forward. Travis should be owned in all fantasy formats now that he is healthy and back with the big club.
Wed, 25 May 2016 10:59:25 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Travis figures to send Darwin Barney back to the bench, and he enters one of the most potent lineups in baseball. Travis hit .306 in nine rehab games, and there's no reason to wait to start him if you own him. He'll be a midrange option in DFS.

Toronto Blue Jays SP R.A. Dickey allowed four runs on five hits in 6 2/3 innings against the New York Yankees Tuesday, May 24, to suffer his sixth loss of the season. He struck out seven batters and walked two during the game.
Fantasy Tip: Dickey has seen his ERA drop one run from the start of the month but still has a 4.60 ERA after allowing nine runs in his last two starts. He is scheduled to pitch against the Boston Red Sox in his next start, which makes him a risky option for owners.
