Michael Waltrip Racing announced Monday, Oct. 14, that they will only run two full-time cars in the Sprint Cup Series next season because of the loss of sponsor NAPA. Driver Martin Truex Jr. was told to start looking for another ride, and he has been talking with Furniture Row Racing.

Stewart-Haas Racing owner and driver Tony Stewart plans to stick with three Sprint Cup Series cars next year despite the loss of U.S. Army as the primary sponsor for driver Ryan Newman. Stewart wants to re-sign Newman, whose contract is up after this year.

Driver Michael Waltrip will drive for Hillman Racing in the No. 40 Toyota for the Daytona 500 this year with Aaron's as the car's primary sponsor. If he makes the field, it will be his 27th start in the Daytona 500 and 75th start at the Florida track.
