Baltimore Ravens CB Lardarius Webb (back) could return this week, according to head coach John Harbaugh. Harbaugh said Webb's status will be based on how he practices this week and if he can get his burst and acceleration back.

Fantasy Tip: Smith has perhaps been the biggest surprise in all of fantasy football this season. While his rate of production isn't likely to continue, he could maintain his WR1 status by season's end, especially considering the absence of TE Dennis Pitta and the struggles of WR Torrey Smith.

Baltimore Ravens RB Justin Forsett has done everything he can to own the starting running back job, in the opinion of beat writer Jamison Hensley. "He's making yards after the hit on his own," head coach John Harbaugh said. "That's kind of how you measure a back."
Fantasy Tip: The Ravens' backfield is a muddy situation, but Forsett is the most valuable in PPR leagues on FantasyScore. Lorenzo Taliaferro has been productive running the ball, but one has to believe that Bernard Pierce (thigh) will have a chance to be involved once he's 100 percent. Taliaferro and Pierce are just depth backs in fantasy right now, but both are flex options.

With current University of Michigan football coach Brady Hoke on a very hot seat following a loss to Minnesota, speculation has turned to a new coach. While current San Francisco 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh is mentioned, many at Michigan prefer Baltimore Ravens coach John Harbaugh if given a choice.

Fantasy Tip: Justin Forsett and Lorenzo Taliaferro were very effective in his stead, and the team likely decided it wasn't necessary to push it with Pierce and risk aggravating the injury.

Fantasy Tip: Flacco has a pair of 300-yard games in four starts this season, and at least one TD pass in each outing. He has been particularly effective at home for fantasy owners, tossing five touchdowns with no interceptions in two starts in Baltimore.

Baltimore Ravens RBs Justin Forsett and Lorenzo Taliaferro nearly split the carries in half in Week 4 against the Carolina Panthers with RB Bernard Pierce (thigh) held out as a precaution. Forsett carried 14 times for 66 yards and a touchdown, while the rookie Taliaferro had 15 carries for 58 yards and a score. Forsett also added three grabs for 31 yards.
Fantasy Tip: Fantasy owners of Forsett and Taliaferro had a reprieve this weekend, as it appeared all week Pierce would be ready to go, creating a three-headed monster in the backfield. All three are likely to see carries in Week 5 against the Indianapolis Colts.

Fantasy Tip: Earlier this week, Smith vowed to be better, and fantasy owners saw some improvement. He still has a long way to go before he re-emerges as a bona fide must-start fantasy receiver, but this was definitely a start.

Baltimore Ravens WR Steve Smith posted game highs with seven receptions, 139 yards and two touchdowns in Week 4 against the Carolina Panthers, his former team. He was targeted a game-high 10 times. It was Smith's 46th career 100-yard game.
Fantasy Tip: The Panthers discarded Smith during the offseason, believing he no longer had anything left. The Ravens, and fantasy owners, are obviously finding out otherwise. Smith has re-emerged as a must-start fantasy option in all formats.

The Baltimore Ravens do not expect FS Will Hill's six-game suspension to be reduced under the new drug policy, according to head coach John Harbaugh. Hill could push FS Darian Stewart for playing time when he is able to return.

Baltimore Ravens WR Torrey Smith is determined to turn things around after his dismal start through the first three games, according to reports. After posting a team-high 1,128 receiving yards with 65 receptions a year ago, he is on pace for just 453 yards and 32 receptions this season. WR Steve Smith has become the center of attention in the receiving game, and Torrey Smith is second fiddle. "I have folks tweeting me how terrible I am, and I could very easily have had three touchdowns and 300 yards the past couple weeks. That's how the ball rolls. I'm not used to it, but we'll get over it soon. (He and QB Joe Flacco) were as close as you can get to touchdowns. We just have to be on the same page and get it done," Smith said.
Fantasy Tip: The loss of Dennis Pitta to a season-ending injury will help Smith become more of a factor in the passing game by default. While he cannot yet be trusted by owners in FantasyScore, especially with a difficult matchup in Week 4, he is still worth keeping on a roster in weekly leagues for his potential.

Baltimore Ravens RBs Bernard Pierce, Justin Forsett and Lorenzo Taliaferro have each led the team in rushing in a game this season. The Ravens are the only team to have a back with at least 90 rushing yards, giving them the eighth-ranked rushing attack despite having no one in the Top 12 among leading individual rushers. The backs each say they are uncertain who will get the ball in Week 4 against the Carolina Panthers, and offensive coordinator Gary Kubiak only indicated Friday, Sept. 26, that all three will play. "They're all going to play," Kubiak said. "We're going to keep a fresh guy on the field - that's what we're going to go - and if we feel like one guy has the hot hand, so to speak, then obviously he's going to go back out. I want them all to prepare as if they're starting."
Fantasy Tip: Fantasy owners cannot stand a running back situation like this, as one week a guy might be super productive only to disappear the following week. While Pierce is expected to start, Forsett could be the best fantasy option. He has at least 70 yards in each of his three games. Taliaferro might be the back near the goal line, so he has some appeal, too, if the price is right. Pierce, despite his starting status, might be the most risky since he is coming back from injury and has two hungry backs behind him.
