Fantasy Tip: Both players have been dealing with injuries this offseason, and Smith is especially no surprise to be sitting out preseason action. Perriman is more disappointing as we haven't seen much of him over his first two years. As it stands, Smith is in low-end WR3 to high-end WR4 territory, while Perriman is more of a deep flier in later rounds.

Baltimore Ravens WR Breshad Perriman has shown better pass catching ability during training camp, according to offensive coordinator Marc Trestman. "I think his hands and his concentration have even gotten better since he first got here," Trestman said. "He's much more sure-handed -- not that he wasn't -- but he's become even more sure-handed and I think that goes with confidence."
Fantasy Tip: Perriman's hands have been questioned dating back to college, but he also missed his entire rookie season, which is likely a bigger hurdle. Also, with Steve Smith, Kamar Aiken and Mike Wallace currently ahead of Perriman, the sophomore has a steep climb to being a reliable fantasy commodity. His size and speed remain intriguing, but he still hasn't shown anything on the field to elevate him above late-round flier territory.

Baltimore Ravens RB Justin Forsett is still in line to be the starting running back, in the opinion of ESPN's Jamison Hensley, but RBs Javorius Allen and Kenneth Dixon project to share third-down work with RB Terrance West serving as a short-yardage back in the red zone.
Fantasy Tip: As an undersized journeyman, Forsett's reign atop the depth chart could be short lived, and the potential of a multi-faceted rushing attack isn't ideal for his fantasy stock. West presents nice value as a late-round flier in standard and touchdown-heavy settings, whereas Allen presents similar potential in PPR leagues. Dixon is likely the most talented back of the quartet, but expect him to have to bide his time for an opportunity in 2016. The rookie is nothing more than a stash option at this point.

Fantasy Tip: Perriman is a bare-minimum WR5 flyer, and he has two weeks of camp to expand on it.

Baltimore Ravens WR Breshad Perriman (knee) has not been ruled out for the preseason game against the Detroit Lions Saturday, Aug. 27. Head coach John Harbaugh said he wants Perriman to play if he is cleared to play.
Fantasy Tip: Perriman has not played since being drafted last season, but it appears he has a chance to play this preseason. He should have a decent role in the passing game if he is able to stay healthy and can be a late-round option in deeper leagues.

Fantasy Tip: Pitta was already facing tall odds at returning from two major hip surgeries, and he's little more than a low-end TE2 in fantasy.

Fantasy Tip: Perriman has the speed to be a factor in fantasy, and he's a nice late-round target as a WR5. He'll have a couple of weeks to add to that in camp.

Fantasy Tip: Flacco appears to be on track for the start of the season and probably will see limited work against the Lions. Flacco will have some weapons to work with this season but probably is best as a No. 2 quarterback for fantasy owners.

Baltimore Ravens TE Darren Waller (jaw) did not return to the preseason game against the Indianapolis Colts Saturday, Aug. 20, after sustaining a sprained jaw. He also underwent concussion protocol and passed the exam.

Fantasy Tip: Aiken is expected to serve as the starter opposite Steve Smith once everyone is healthy and the games start to count for real. He should be treated as a WR4 in most standard fantasy formats.
