Thu, 30 Jun 2016 18:27:55 -0700

Baltimore Ravens OG John Urschel played well as a backup the last two seasons, and he will compete with C Ryan Jensen and OT Alex Lewis for the starting left guard spot in 2016.

Ravens | Maxx Williams could be stunted

Thu, 30 Jun 2016 16:21:37 -0700

Baltimore Ravens TE Maxx Williams may not see an ideal amount of targets due to the Ravens' depth at tight end this year. Williams isn't worried, though. He said the tight end group is going to make each other better and "figure it out" as the season approaches.

Fantasy Tip: Benjamin Watson should be the primary tight end for Baltimore, with Crockett Gillmore, Williams and possibly Dennis Pitta also in the mix. Williams can be avoided unless any other Baltimore tight ends are injured during training camp.

Ravens | Maxx Williams more comfortable

Wed, 29 Jun 2016 16:41:54 -0700

Baltimore Ravens TE Maxx Williams said he is more comfortable entering his second season because he knows what to expect each day. Williams said he improved his strength this offseason but is not sure how much weight he gained. He is not sure what his role will be in 2016 because things can change before the start of the season.

Fantasy Tip: Williams may be third on the tight end depth chart if Pitta is healthy, so it is not known how much playing time he will receive in 2016. Benjamin Watson probably will be the starter at the position, while Crockett Gillmore coul compete for the No. 3 tight end job. Owners probably can avoid him in fantasy draft unless Pitta suffers a setback.

Ravens | Chris Moore likely to make team

Wed, 29 Jun 2016 16:41:27 -0700

Baltimore Ravens WR Chris Moore likely will make the 53-man roster because the team has never had a fourth-round draft pick not make the final roster.

Ravens | Michael Campanaro healthy

Wed, 29 Jun 2016 16:26:15 -0700

Baltimore Ravens WR Michael Campanaro (calf) said he has completely recovered from the calf injury he suffered this offseason and is looking forward to training camp. He likely will have to compete with WRs Kaelin Clay and Keenan Reynolds for a roster spot.

Fantasy Tip: Campanaro has been limited to eight games in his NFL career because of various injuries and will have to stay healthy if he wants to make the final roster. He probably would not have a big role on offense if he makes the team and should be avoided by owners.

Ravens | Coach impressed with Mike Wallace

Wed, 29 Jun 2016 13:58:59 -0700

Baltimore Ravens WR Mike Wallace showed he is a complete receiver during offseason workouts and is expected to be a big part of the offense in 2016, according to head coach John Harbaugh.

Fantasy Tip: Wallace struggled with the Minnesota Vikings last season but should improve his numbers this season with the Ravens. Wallace should be the No. 2 or No. 3 receiver for Baltimore in 2016 and could be a late-round option in fantasy leagues.

Ravens | Baltimore in better shape offensively

Mon, 27 Jun 2016 10:36:28 -0700

Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh said he believes the offense is in better shape than it was last year because it will be the second year under offensive coordinator Marc Trestman, who will have more control of the offense. Trestman said the main focus for the offense is to cut down on the turnovers in 2016.

Fantasy Tip: Joe Flacco should be ready for the start of the season but should be considered as a No. 2 quarterback in most leagues. Justin Forsett and Javorius Allen will be solid options for owners since they will both receive playing time. The team's wide receivers are a question mark since Steve Smith and Breshad Perriman are dealing with injury. Smith should be a middle-round option if he is healthy. Mike Wallace and Kamar Aiken could be sleeper candidates if Smith and Perriman are not ready for the season.

Ravens | Mike Wallace not as fast

Mon, 27 Jun 2016 07:50:45 -0700

Baltimore Ravens WR Mike Wallace said he isn't as fast as he was as the slot receiver for the Pittsburgh Steelers four years ago, but he thinks he can still get it done. "I think I've gotten better, even though (the) numbers don't say so," Wallace said. "I think I'll get better this year, and I'll show some people I have a lot up my sleeve."

Fantasy Tip: Wallace's numbers fell off a cliff last season, and at age 29, this is a make-or-break year. He'll have every opportunity to perform with a thin receiving corps and numerous injuries around him. He's a WR5 flyer in fantasy.

Ravens | Coach praises Terrance West

Wed, 22 Jun 2016 08:57:22 -0700

Baltimore Ravens RB Terrance West looked quick and fast during organized team activities, according to head coach John Harbaugh, and Harbaugh also praised West's improvements without the ball in his hands.

"Young guys, young running backs, the thing that they always have to learn … They usually know how to run the ball, and he's proven he can do that," Harbaugh said. "The next part of it is the pass protection and the alignments and assignments and lining up outside the box and those kinds of things. I think he's really done a good job with improving on this spring, and I can't wait to see him in training camp."

Fantasy Tip: Baltimore has a crowded backfield, and West has a lot to do to separate himself from the pack and carve out some fantasy value. For now, he's a late-round flier in deep formats, but his stock could rise if things break his way leading into the season.

Ravens | Joe Flacco has mental hurdle

Tue, 21 Jun 2016 11:10:30 -0700

Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco (knee) doesn't have a problem with running or cutting or doing anything physically in his recovery from a torn anterior cruciate ligament. Flacco's main test is facing the thoughts of getting hit again. "I don't expect to have those kinds of thoughts linger in my head," Flacco said. "But you never know until you get out there and do it again." Flacco is expected to be ready to go for training camp.

Fantasy Tip: The Ravens will probably take it easy with their starting quarterback for the remainder of the offseason. Even if Flacco is fully healthy when the season starts, he's comfortable in the backup fantasy quarterback conversation.

Ravens | Michael Campanaro may not make team

Mon, 20 Jun 2016 12:54:48 -0700

Baltimore Ravens WR Michael Campanaro (calf) is at risk of not making the final roster if he cannot stay on the field during training camp, according to The Baltimore Sun's Jeff Zrebiec. Campanaro missed most of last season with a back injury and is now dealing with a calf injury.

Ravens | Dennis Pitta can still contribute

Mon, 20 Jun 2016 12:46:13 -0700

Baltimore Ravens TE Dennis Pitta (hip) has looked good, is moving well and is still capable of being a significant contributor, in the opinion of The Baltimore Sun's Jeff Zrebiec.

Fantasy Tip: Drafting Pitta is a huge risk with the serious hip issues he's had. Plus, he has Benjamin Watson, Maxx Williams and Crockett Gillmore competing with him. Watson is the best bet among tight ends in Baltimore, but he's still easily in TE2 territory.
